They did a very good job. They were thorough. We were there when they were doing the work and so we could see that they were careful in doing everything. They were also quick. We were paying them based on time. How much we paid them was based on how long they were there. They worked very quickly, but they did it well. The oven took a lot of time and the kitchen also took quite a bit of time. The upstairs took less time which it might have taken longer if they had been able to move more furniture, but they really couldn't move dressers and the beds and that's why that didn't take as long. They did spend more time on the downstairs which has wood floors and basically all hard surfaces. I think their price was very good.

It is going fine. They just began cleaning for us in February, so we are still in the process of explaining everything and getting on the same page with cleaning. There were some minor hiccups, such as cleaning things that didn?t need to be cleaned and leaving the floors streaky. However, I have been happy with them so far and will continue to use them. The owner is very responsive and does a great job. She is quite professional and calls to assure everything is going correctly.

I paid for 3 hours of cleaning, 2 women. I wanted them to focus on the floors and the kitchens but they spent the majority of the time upstairs. I had to give a credit card to reserve time but paid in cash (Angie's List coupon is only honored if you pay in cash). Several days later they called because they had tried unsuccessfully to bill my credit card as well. Make sure you get a receipt if you pay in cash. The women left 15 minutes early, and not because the house was so immaculate that there was nothing else to clean.

We have used them before. Their price seems reasonable. They do a good job.

I had never hired a cleaning service before but was having houseguests and a busy week left me not enough time to clean my place. I called and they responded quickly and were able to fit me in later that week. They quoted me an estimated based on 2 hours, but said they'd charge for only the amount of time they needed - whether that was less or more. I left my house while they were cleaning and came back to find my place very clean. I'm not sure my bathtub has ever looked so nice. It was so easy, I would definitely call them again.

American Maids has a very effecient process from start to finish. I was able to schedule them within a few days and everything went as planned. I'm going to utilize them on a bi-weekly basis going forward.

This relatively quick but thorough cleaning is good for me because I am usually at home and have two easily-stressed, senior cats. The women also do a great job of removing cat hair! Also, Ilona is very responsive and professional.

Called and received a quote for services which was accurate, no surprises, no extra charges. We were able to get someone out right away which we wanted. There were one and a half floors. The first floor was done fairly well but several things were missed. Cabinets were not wiped down, the attic was not swept out and in the bathroom the sink was not cleaned properly. It did not look as if anyone swept the floors in the attic or the utility area. We call Ilona Erst and told her of the problems. She was very good. She apologized for the mistakes and went out right away and corrected them. We would use them again. They corrected the mistakes and made sure we were satisfied.

The two young women arrived on time and quickly set to work. They worked just over three hours and did a fantastic job (even with boxes around and a cable installer working in one of the rooms). They work quickly and efficiently. I wish I had known that there was a discount for paying in cash ahead of time.

They came shortly after I called them. They are very responsive. I had a time issue where I needed the work completed within in a few days and they came and finished the work within a day or two. They did a very good job. The price was reasonable compared to some other estimates. I decided to go with them after finding them through Angie?s List where I saw good reviews.

Very easy to schedule, owner and two cleaners were eager to know what I wanted. Cleaners arrived on time and worked very hard for 6 hours scrubbing and vacuuming. They did speak English. I received a 20% off for cash payments; I tipped each cleaaner $20. One cleaner was a little reluctant to clean the chandelier, and I should have listened to her. The spray cleaner managed to short out the chandelier, causing one "candle" to go up in flames when it is turned on. But, I really have no complaints. This could just as easily have happened to me.

Very well. The appointment was relatively easy to schedule, the cleaners very nice, and the work done thoroughly.

Two women came and within a 1/2 day the house looked great! They are amazing!

Two girls arrived for the initial cleaning and they did a great job. They were quick and thorough. Based on this, we decided to hire them to clean our house on a bi-weekly basis. The same girls were sent on the second visit, but the quality of the cleaning was greatly reduced. We came home to find they had not dusted, or swept under furniture. There were basic things that we had expected to be done that obviously weren't. We contacted Ilona who offered us $10 off our next cleaning. However, we didn't trust that this would not happen again. We have discontinued this service with American Maids.

I been planning to clean and organize my apartment over my winter break, but found out that I had plenty of company coming to stay with me DURING break, so I needed help FAST ! I called Ilona who was able to have two young women come in the evening (as I'd requested). They arrived during a snowstorm, with no complaints, and went right to work.

I contacted Ilona Erst of American Maids, after reading many other glowing reports in Angie's List. She agreed to meet me at my late mother's home the same day. She arrived on time, was thoroughly professional throughout, and after receiving her estimate, we agreed on the date during the following week for which I could arrange to have a member of the family present to provide access and answers to any questions. Her three-person team arrived promptly as arranged, and thoroughly cleaned the empty house as we had discussed, walls, windows and floors, both hardwood and carpeted. They worked carefully, and I have no issues whatsoever -- American Maids did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone needing home cleaning services without reservation.

GREAT! I need help with cleaning while I'm on crutches. I hired someone a few weeks ago, paid more than I did with American Maids and got half the quality. The girls came right on time and started cleaning right away. Emptied and put away the dishes in the dishwasher, scrubbed inside the microwave and made my stovetop sparkle. They even cleaned inside my fireplace! Little things that I even miss - like scrubbing the trays on my ottomans, they didn't skip. The place looks and smells great. It took 2 girls 3 hours for this first time cleaning. Can't wait to sign-up for recurring service with them.

Efficient and quality work makes for a splendid overall experience. The owner, Llona, is always very helpful on the phone, responsive to quick requests, and has a very reasonable demeanor. All of her staff have been very respectful, insightful, helpful, and nice. Overall, it's about the feeling I get after they leave in that I can have a peace of mind working or just hanging out in a very clean environment. Overall, this service is reasonable & valuable and I haven't found any drawbacks.

I requested cleaning of my 1 bdrm condo on short notice. They told me they had one person available that could show up early on Saturday. They arrived on time and were very courteous. The job this one person did was fantastic. She did everything including dusting the blinds to cleaning the inside of the microwave. I was extremely pleased with American Maids and will be signing up for monthly service.

Ilona is prompt and responsive, both times she was able to schedule last-minute cleanings. However, especially for the price, I felt the cleaning could have been more thorough, especially the floors. I'm not that picky, but I found myself cleaning again right after they left. They neglected things that I wouldn't expect from a cleaning service like corners and under furniture. It seemed like they did the bare minimum. I think Ilona runs a good business, just maybe her workers could be a little more thorough.

I cannot say enough good things about this service-and I am the granddaughter of a Polish cleaning lady, so I need things CLEAN. Ilona is very professional and her service is very dependable. I have had nothing but a terrific experience, and recommend them highly.
