I found them on Angie's List. The price was reasonable. I did not care for their company, I thought they were difficult to work with. I thought it was challenging to communicate the specific needs and I didn't feel like they were responsive to them. I didn't feel like they did a very thorough job. I terminated my relationship with them.
Description of Work: American Maids cleaned my house and did some blind dusting.

This was our client from Dec 2009 through July 2010. We never had any problems communicationg with the client and always responded the same way we do to any client. Most of the requests were handled via email. The client used our services on a weekly basis. The main issue in the house was the floors-the team tried to do their best washing the floors. Although the flooring is old with wide cracks between planks. Even though the girls stayed longer and washed the floors on hands and knees and rewashed them several times (few times the client witnessed that), as the floors were dry, the old dirt from cracks will surface, and the client complaint because she felt the floors were not washed. Unfortunately we were not able to meet clients unrealistic expectations and cancelled service in August 2010 per client's request.

Scheduling was very easy and a time that worked well for me was available. Communication was very good. The 2 young women showed up nearly 15 minutes after the end of the arrival window. Since it was their first time to the area I figured they had a hard time finding it. No problem. I did mind though that they had marked on their paper that they only arrived 5 minutes after the window. I signed at the bottom indicating actual arrival time and she later changed the one they had marked. I walked them through showing them what I wanted done and what were the priorities.I think one did not speak hardly any English, and the other seemed to only know a little. The things they cleaned they did a good job, but they skipped some very unexpected things. Here are a couple examples. They didn't clean under the bathmat I had hung on the edge of the tub. They didn't clean the tile behind the shower brush and scrubber hanging in the shower. They didn't even sweep under the throw rugs in the kitchen or entry hall (both easily movable). My range top was very clean (which I'm sure was a lot of work), but I'm not sure that the towels hanging on the front of the oven were moved to clean the glass behind them. It was just very odd the way things were done. I let them go early and only found these dirty areas later throughout the day. They did a good job, but if I have them back I'll make sure to remove anything that "blocks" where I want them to clean.
Description of Work: I bought 4 hours of cleaning (for about half price) in an Angie's list deal. My priority was to get my bathroom and kitchen well cleaned. If there was time left over I had floors that needed vaccuuming/sweeping.

I called American Maids--an ironic name as I'll describe shortly--mainly because of the high marks they received on this list. I was given a time that was convenient to me which I appreciated. I was given a two-hour window of when the cleaners would arrive but was told I would receive a call that day with a more precise time. My doorbell rang pretty square in the middle of that two-hour window. It was the cleaners arriving without that promised phone call. Not appreciated. I became aware at the outset that neither of the women spoke much English. I tried to give them some instructions but they just smiled and nodded. Clearly they spoke no English at all. Again, not at all appreciated. My wife was working from home that day and was on a call in the office/TV room. I tried to tell the cleaners to leave that room for last. They nodded and smiled. I left to run errands. When I returned the cleaners were gone. My wife said they just left without communicating with her and without getting paid. As I looked around to see how good a job they'd done I noticed the shelves in the office/TV room were still quite dusty. I looked at my desk and there was clear indication it hadn't been cleaned. After much examination it became obvious that the cleaners had misunderstood my instructions and didn't clean in that room at all. I immediately called the office. I was rather incensed that they would send people out with absolutely no English communication skills. I have no problem whatsoever with immigrants to this country trying to earn their way before they can speak English, but I have a problem with a company that ignores the fact that there should be at least one person on the job who can speak with the customer. I spoke with who I took to be the owner and was treated rather poorly, I felt, given the situation. She did her best to avoid any responsibility for my issues even to the point of insisting that they could in fact speak some English. It was if it was my fault that I didn't follow them around the house making sure they did everything they were supposed to do. I was told it was the company's policy that I was supposed to call their office if the cleaners needed to be told something. Yes that's right. Their policy is that the customer is to call the office to talk to the workers. Amazing. The owner said she was sorry but it was one of those obligatory things that do little to assuage one's frustrations. Anyway, no knock on the cleaners themselves. What they cleaned was fine. I just urge anyone planning on using American Maids to insist ahead of time that at least one of the cleaners be able to communicate with you.

Thank you for using our services and taking your time to write a review. We apologize again that we did not give a courtesy call before our team arrived. When we spoke with the people on a team, it was clear that even though two women who cleaned the house on that day did not have perfect communication skills in English, they understood all the instructions give to them. They also called the office after the instructions were given by the owner to verify with the superviser that one of the rooms should not be cleaned-office. The office person checked the notes on file, that were given by the client during the appointment set up. On the notes it said "Dust all with a damp cloth - no feather /wool dusters!!! Vacuum all baseboards, toaster oven - clean, microwave (check inside) Polish all stainless steel. clean only 2 bedrooms (do not clean 3rd one - office/storage room - ask Allen which one)". So since it was said on the notes "no office cleaning" and it seemed to us that was the same thing communicated to the cleaners, the office staff confirmed that with cleaners. I am not sure if there was another room that was not cleaned also. Although during my conversation with the client I offered for someone to come back and clean the room that was missed, and we could do that the same day of service, but the client refused. I do not beleive that this situation happened only because of the poor English skills of the team members, but rather because of the miscommunication. We always ask all clients to give detailed instructions to the office and follow through with the same instructions, or give a call TO THE OFFICE if the instructions needed to be changed to avoid any miscommunication. We do have clients specifically asking for people with perfect English, and we try to match that request with the appropriate cleaning team. Although if all the instructions are given properly through the office, there is never a problem.

I arrived to the unit to let the cleaners in. I left to go to my office downtown, and a few hours later I received a call letting me know that they had finished. When I returned I was very pleased. I was surprised at how effective the cleaning was. I would recommend them and use them for my own home too.
Description of Work: A deep cleaning of an unoccupied 2 bedroom 1 bath rental in preparation for new tenants.

They consistently do a great, quick job and are very professional and punctual. I always get a call if they need to move the appointment time for any reason. The cleaning teams are thorough. I appreciate that my credit card is billed automatically and there has been no paperwork for me since the initial visit.

My experience on the phone with Isabella is what prompted me to use this service. She was very helpful and thorough in her explanations, as well as answering all of my questions. We agreed that a 2-man team would arrive between 11 and 1, and that it would take approximately 4-5 man hours of work. I was notified that the team was near my home, so I went outside to let them in the gate. I began doing some stairwell cleaning while I waited, but when I saw a car right in front with 2 people sitting in it, I made eye contact with them, trying to indicate that I was ready for them. However, they chose to sit in the car and finish their cigarettes for 5-10 minutes, rather than get out of the car to begin the job. Upon entering the unit, I walked the man who spoke English through the unit, and the woman began cleaning. Given the high marks on Angie's List, I simply walked him through the unit and briefly reviewed the to-do list of items that he brought with. Then I went upstairs to my unit. After about an hour or so I checked back, and I saw Ilona (the supervisor) downstairs with them, explaining in detail how certain things needed to be cleaned. That was reassuring, and so was seeing both the refrigerator and the stove pulled out (to be cleaned behind). Again, given Angie's List high marks, I didn't think twice about how the job would end up. As it neared the end of the quoted time, I went downstairs to look closely at the work, since I was trying to decide whether to leave the house (and allow them to just lock up on the way out), or whether I would need to stay to ensure that the job was done to my satisfaction. As I began to walk from room to room and examine different parts of the apartment, I was very disappointed at the dirt that still remained in a variety of places: front of kitchen cabinets, under the microwave, wall behind the kitchen sink, inside bathroom mirror shelving, corner of kitchen floor. As I started to point these out to Ilona, she appropriately began to ask her cleaning crew to address the items that I pointed out. The process began to go south, however, as Ilona continued to tell me, "Look around and see what else..." I guess my expectation is that the supervisor, once she discovered such gross oversights, would herself begin to look around critically at her own staff's work, rather than (what felt like) hurrying me into saying everything was ok. As my disappointment began to show, Ilona seemed to explain it away by saying two things. First, she repeated several times that the staff was trying to meet the 5 hour time range quoted. While I appreciate that, I MUCH would have rather had been told during the process, "Hey, this is going to take longer than expected." I was never given the option to extend the cleaning process; she just kept saying, "Well, we wanted to keep it to YOUR 5 hours," when I never even hinted that this was my limit. The other thing that she told me several times was, "This is a new crew. Someone called in sick today, so we had to scramble to get someone." From a business perspective, my heart goes out to her. It's hard to promise someone some work when the workers don't show. But if it were me, I would have been upfront from the beginning, I would have budgeted extra time, and I would have been VERY sincerely apologetic rather than excuse-ish, especially for an Angie's List customer, given that we have so many highly rated cleaning services to choose from. At some point it seemed to me that Ilona and her crew were eager to leave, and I was tired of pointing out things that I could easily just whisk through and do later myself, which is what I did. Later that day I went through with a rag and found some dirty switchplates that were never cleaned, as well as few other odds and ends. I suspect that American Maids top crews are excellent, given the reviews, but I was not pleased with their new hires or with the supervisor's defense of her crew rather than sincere desire to please. While I understand that quality, growing companies need to hire and train new employees, I don't believe that it needs to be done at the customer's time or expense.
Description of Work: Cleaned an empty 2-bedroom rental unit. It is the garden unit of the 2-flat in which we live.

Thank you for your review. Whenever we quote a job over the phone it is just a guesstimate of the time that we need to spend based on our general experience. The kitchen required extra attention as it had greasy spills all over ceiling and backsplash etc. Yes, in fact we were short on staff on that day and had to put together a team of newer people with less experience as I always feel that our clients rely on us especially when it involves move in/move out cleaning when possibly new tenants are moving. I always spent significat amount of time whenever there is a new less experienced team is cleaning. And we always ask cleints to double check everythign to make sure everything is done to their satisfaction. The team overlooked some areas and we re-cleaned at immediately. I offered not to charge cleint for the extra time, but the client insisted that she pays. We agreed in the middle for the extra time with client's permittion. It was a deep move in/out cleaning that had significant amount of grease in the kitchen on backsplash, cabinets and ceiling. The team pulled out the stove and a fridge and cleaned behind, under and sides (which most of the services do not offer), we also spot cleaned walls and washed the windows and washer and dryer. The place was not big, but kitchen and bathrom areas required significant amoutn of scrubbing and some of the cabinets closest to the stove were stained from grease and did not come off completely. My understanding of an A rated company is that the company will respond promptly to the request, deliveres the service and corrrects any issues or mistakes immediately. This is what we are always trying to do. We are high rated company but we are not miracle workers: like any human beings we can make mistakes, have overlooks and have less that good days. And in our industry unfortunately there is no schoools where they teach people how to clean-we have to do hands on training each and every time. We appreciate your understanding and putting our trust in us!

American Maid has been doing housekeeping for my condo for the past several months. The initial cleaning was a bit of a hassle - two dour and obviously unhappy young women AND their supervisor AND the owner of the company scolding me harshly about how messy my home was. They accidentally shut off my computer once and missed a few things on the first few visits, but after talking with the owner they seem to be getting things right now. They're generally punctual. The women don't speak much English at all as far as I can tell - they'll smile and nod if you catch them doing something wrong, but won't always stop doing it. Fortunately their work is consistent and any concerns relayed to the owner are usually resolved quickly. EDIT: Updated to lower the score because they've started sending out spammy newsletters to all of their clients without first asking permission or mandating an opt-in.

I am very sorry to see this review-I never would have guessed that explaining how much time we need and explaining what is going to be done during that time and why we need more time or how to save time on the first cleaning would be taken in a wrong way. I am very sorry if I offended you in any way. We always teach our staff to be friendly and client's satisfaction is always a priority. That was one of the reasons why I try to stop by at a new client's home any time I can during initial cleaning to see how things are going and make sure eveyrthigns is OK. If at any time you were not comfortable with the superviser being around-you should have let us know. I am sorry but the only follow up feedback we received from you was a positive one, otherwise we would have taken necessary steps to correct what was wrong. As far as our newsletters-this is just for communication only between us and our clients. Whenever client gives us an email address that is not concidered as spam, and if you do not wish to receive newsletters you can opt out by simple clicking the link in that email. Those newsletters were created as a form of communication about our projects, sending additonal coupons for savings and share the information that we find useful. We actually get a lot of positive feedback and people say that they like it. We send those email newsletters only once a month and again, for those who do not wish to receive the newsletters there is an option to remove your email form the list. If the team is not doing a good job, please let us know immediately so that we can communicate to a team and also take necessary steps to improve the service.

They are the best option for eco friendly cleaining and using environmentally safe products. We have them clean our three level house twice a month. We alternate between Premium cleaning and Basic cleaning. They are very thorough and even clean greasy pots and pans before scrubbing our stainless steel kitchen sink. The main level of our house is hardwood floor, and the maids are great at getting it clean. We have a two year old, so she is always spilling things and leaving crumbs everywhere.
Description of Work: We have a three level Georgian home with a fixed basement and three bathrooms. Two of our levels are hardwood floor. Also, we requested eco-friendly products and processes.

This service did a cleaning in an apartment we own after the people moved out. They were supposed to clean all of the windows and sills and claimed they couldn't get one open, which I opened after putting a little muscle into it. They claimed they cleaned the pantry but when I pointed out some dirt they said that it wouldn't come off. I had to clean up after them. They sent 3 people to do a job that only required one person and this ended up costing more. I was quoted $165 and the job ended up costing $195. I will not hire this service in the future.

Thank you for taking your time and submitting this review. This was a move out job that requires cleaning all cabinets in kitchen and bathroom in and out, all kitchen appliances in and out, and the client requested to clean windows inside. The job was quoted at approximately 6 manhours over the phone. It is always hard to guesstimate over the phone the cost of cleaning without seeing the place. And a lot of people who never did cleaning of that type themselves mistakenly assume that "it is easy because it is empty".There is always much more grime and old dirt left behond after people had lived in a palce and moved out. We always send a crew of two or three people, never send 1 person for that type of cleaning. The estimate on that type of work can always be adjusted depending on the situation wich is absolutely normal. Cleaning was done on Monday finished by 5 PM (as requested by client). Client's girlfriend called on Thursday (3 days after appoitntment) and after finding out the total cost complained about some minor issues with cleaning. Our company policy is that all issues must be reported within 24 hours after cleaning, but we made an exception in this situation. We asked if our superviser who was in the area can come by at any time convenient for the client or their tenants to check what was the issues and we will send a crew to reclean the areas immediately at no cost either on the same day we received a compained (Thursday), Friday or Saturday, or any day next week. We also offered to mail a gift card to the tenants so that they can use it in the future or use it to have us come and reclean those areas. Unfortunatelyy the client was not happy and did not accept any of our offers, but was mostly concerned with the total price they had to pay. We always suggest to realistically know your budget before signing up for servies. There are definitely people out there who will charge much less money for their job. It is always better to find a provider who fits your budget rather than look for any issues after you realize that the price charged was more than you can comfortably afford.

The owner Ilona and I got off to a rocky start when she was to meet me at our new house to give me an estimate. I arrived at the appointed hour, only to receive a call from her assistant telling me she'd be an hour late. I wasn't happy. In this age of cell phones, they should have been able to call me sooner to let me know she'd be that late. And then, instead of apologizing, Ilona argued with me about how late she actually was. That all said, her crew did a really good job. They all arrived together on time, and worked really hard. They cleaned everything they said they would. I was impressed with the checklist they gave me so that I could go through and make sure everything they said would be clean, actually was clean.
Description of Work: They cleaned our new house that we were moving into. Scrubbed top to bottom - floors, bathrooms, windows, mirrors, stove, fridge - everything. Four ladies, 5 hours.

In fact in my appointment list it was not clear what time it should be and I was under the impression that the appointment was scheduled later that what it was. Should have double checked. We really had a little of a rough start indeed and I though we even not going to get this job after all. Suprisingly when we did (and I sure glad we did), I wanted to make sure we did not make a single mistake-there would be no second chance for me and my company to prove that we are actually as good as everyone says giving the fact that I so "succesfully" screwed up the first meeting. I was a loyal customer for over three years. Never once complained. They switched maids and my house has not been cleaned since. I recently had things taken from my house that I was letting them use while they were here. I have had mold growing in my bathroom and have complained for the past few months. I have been calling for weeks and they have sent no one back out to guarantee their cleaning which they state all over their website. Not to mention they sent a letter saying that everyones rates were going up 30% and took payment out of credit card without authorization! Terrible customer service. I highly recommend you stay away from this company. They have been going downhill for the past 8mo. Take it from a once loyal customer who has been taken advantage of.

The client has been serviced since 2008 for almost 2 years. She found us on Craigslist (not Angies List). Raising the price was the option that should have been chosen long time ago. The very experienced and careful team (that services most of the clients who gave us straight “A” rating and are very happy with the continuous service): Nadya, Carolina and Victoria went above and beyond trying to accommodate every request each time from moving heavy bulky couches to clean on a basic bi-weekly cleaning, to doing extra laundry loads. What we initially agreed on during the in person estimate is that the team will clean 1st floor, part of the second floor and 1 load of laundry of sheets and alternate between top, 3rd floor and a basement each other visit. What they ended up doing is pretty much the whole house each time plus more than 1 load of laundry. As far as I knew the client was happy with the service, whenever she had a complaint we always tried to go extra mile to make sure we do everything possible to make this client happy. As per our company guarantee we came and re-cleaned the floors at the beginning of our relationship when we received a complaint. The latest visit on 8/12/10 (and the last one) went as usual. I received the email from the client with pictures of the jets in the jacuzzi tub and a windowsill and the email said that the mold has been growing inside the jets and that the girls missed the windowsill. IN general she was happy with the service (see the copy of the emails below. Client last name and the email address is blocked for privacy). Since the client did not request us to come back therefore I said that I will make sure the girls will clean all the windowsills thoroughly next time and if need to spend extra time I agreed that she won’t be paying extra for that. IN terms of the mold in the jets, unfortunately this is the situation when there is not much we can do. The girls cleaned them as usual with our small toothbrush size brush and cleaning solution with bleach (bleach is the only known agent that kills mold). Because the size of the jets is so narrow and it looks like mold is sitting deeper inside the toothbrush they used simply cannot reach there. What needs to be done is a required yearly maintenance service of the pipes and jets. We do not provide that service. It can be done either by a specialist, or some people simply do it themselves by running water with bleach through the jet pipes. That will clear out the pipes and helps restore the surface of the jets in the areas that are unreachable. Also it is not recommended to use soap or bubbles in the tub with jets-as it is clogs the jets and causes the bacteria grow. And lastly: if the tub is used on a regular basis, it is better not to wait until the cleaning crew comes to scrub off the mold once in two weeks, bat rather clean off mold as soon as it appears. This way mold does not grow into the surfaces. Between the visits the mold will grow into the surface and we will be unable to remove it completely. There was also a question about whether our team took the special brushes to clean the Jacuzzi tub jets from clients home and/or used her vacuum cleaner. The answer to both is “NO”. There were some brushes used in client’s home, but always left them in the client’s home after service. As for the client’s vacuum cleaner-the team never used it, not even once. I checked with all three people who serviced this home and all of them at different times told me that the brushes when they were used were left in client’s closet by the bathroom and that they never used client’s vacuum. We always provide our own supplies and equipment. There is no need for us to use client’s vacuum, plus as far as we were told at the beginning it did not work. These are honest hardworking people who has been working with me for several years, never lied, brought to the company great clients and always gain best reviews. I simply have no reason not to believe them. Using client’s vacuum cleaner is not a crime. And if they did-they would have said that. If we used it and broke it I would have no problem paying to fix it. But I don’t believe I have to take blame for something we never did. These employees are very valuable for the company and I will take their word in this situation. If we made a mistake and accidently took something from client’s supplies or broke something it has to be reported. I never received any reports neither from a team nor from a client, otherwise I would have no problems reimbursing for what has been lost/damaged or broken. Our policy is that any problem has to be reported 48 hours after the service date for our company to investigate and work out the best solution. The cleaning service was excellent. The cleaners showed up on time, asked a few questions about problem areas/things to focus on, and got to work. They did an excellent job cleaning everything, including things I didn't tell them about. The place looked great and it seemed very reasonable for the amount of work they put in.

Overall experience was great. The service has very nice staff who came out and visited, gave an estimate and was able to accommodate my schedule and come out the next day for the first cleaning. Best service I've engaged to date; they cleaned everything and it looked fantastic. Staff took approx 2 hours to complete work on 1400 square feet. I noticed the cleanliness of my marble and stainless steel the most as well as my lime-covered shower head which is now clean. Service has many other services you can take advantage of to per request (fridge interior cleaning, ironing, windows, etc); I'll be trying a couple of those in the future. Looking forward to my bi-weekly service coming up. Very competitive pricing for my area.

American Maids quoted a 12 man hour job based on a walkthrough on 7/15/2010 @ $27.50/man hour. The quote was based on, in part, the amount of clutter that we had spread throughout the house. On 7/19 my wife and I made a concerted effort to clean up most of the clutter so the job should either take < 12 manhours or they should be able to clean more effectively. They came with 3 people on 7/20, started at 8:50am, and finished at 12:40pm (a little less then 12 man hours). I could tell that the last 1/2 hour or so they were rushing to get done and the deep clean wasn't nearly as deep as it should have been. Areas in master bath that were missed and shouldn't have been, dusting was not done particularly well, even in areas that there wasn't any clutter, and it frankly seemed as though they were more interested in getting done in the alloted 12 manhours than in doing the job correctly. I corresponded with Ilona and explained this to her (along with a few other things) and, while the exchange was professional, was ultimately dissatisfied with the result of the conversation. They did a decent job but we will be looking for another service to do weekly cleanings.

Thank you for trying our company's services and the time you put in to write a review! We truly appreciate it! Unfortunately this particular job did not go in-sync with the client's request and our estimate as well as we hoped for. We estimated deep cleaning for 12 manhours or more (the place was quite cluttered during estimate so it was difficult to get a clear picture of how much time will be needed on the cleaning itself). Although the day before the appointment the client requested to stay under $300.00 and the team tried very hard to meet that request (thus rushing through the last 1/2 hour), and had to skip some of the details in order to do that. The bottom line is whenever the place is ready for cleaning it should be clutter free and all pets should be taken out or locked in, so that the cleaning crew does not have to re-clean the areas from pet hair and get distracted or frustrated how to work around the clutter. On the other hand whenever we need to meet certain budget requirements it is very hard for a team to focus on quality when they are under pressure that the client is not wiling to pay for extra time that goes over discussed budget.

From the first phone call, this company was extremely responsive, professional, and honest. The estimate was accurate, based in large part on the detailed questions asked when making the appointment. They were also able to accommodate us on short notice (called Thursday, they came Monday morning). The two workers were extremely efficient. My partner noted that he had never seen the house this clean. As as result of our experience, our condo building hired them to also do post-construction cleaning, and we are considering them for ongoing service. We will certainly use them again.

It did take two phone calls to get a response, but when I did get one the owner apologized for the delay and was very attentive. The two-woman team did a great job. Incredibly professional. Called to say they were running late, but then only arrived 5 minutes late. Our house was not exceptionally dirty, so it was not an earth shattering result, but they were completely competent, professional, very easy to communicate with, seemed to know exactly what they were doing and diligent about details. They also knew how to clean natural stone and stainless steel. I am VERY picky and I inspect carefully, but I did not see any areas that I thought they had missed. They filled in for our regular cleaning person who is on an extended vacation, but I would certainly use them again to fill in or to do a yearly top to bottom clean. They are not cheap, but they deliver as promised.

We had a very good experience from start to finish. They were responsive and accommodating to a short-notice request; I didn't have to call multiple times or wait for a call to get the cleaning scheduled. The crew was late --that was the only problem. They under-estimated the job right before us. They came with a thorough checklist and left the house very clean and within the time frame they had estimated. They did their work very independently and brought all the supplies and tools they needed. I would use them again.
Description of Work: In-depth house cleaning, including window drapes, ceiling fans, cleaned inside the fridge and microwave, did thorough dusting.

The first time I had them, I did a deep cleaning where they really do top to bottom including lamp shades and doors. They did a great job and I had them come back. Now they come every three to four weeks. I find the owner responsive and she seems genuinely interested in knowing whether they are doing what you need them to do or not. There are a lot of extra things that you can pay for like ironing or stove cleaning. There are some things that I think they could do more thoroughly but I?m waiting until my house is more pulled together before I say anything about it.

We always give estimates on a little higher scale. I believe it is better to get a client prepared what the highest he/she can pay. Some times when I see the place it looks like a "piece of cake", but when you start cleaning there might be spots that were not visible, but can take a crew longer to clean than what I assumed. (Those are usually sticky/greasy spots on the kitchen counters, top of the stove, baseboards, soap build up on the bathroom tile-you cannot see it, but when you touch it with your hand you can feel it). I always base my estimate on how I see the place and the square footage, and take into consideration the above mentioned facts and also the fact that it's a new place for a team and it will take longer for them. Also one of the main factors to determine the price: how much clutter and furniture is in the house. On our first visit we try to get under every piece of furniture and move everything from the tops to dust with microfiber towel, rate that's around. That takes quite a bit of time. We do charge for the actually time spent on cleaning. In most cases the actual price is lower than the estimate-and that is a nice thing for a client. All in all we are not trying to attract clients by a nice "cheap" price. From my experience I know that with "cheap price" usually comes "cheap quality". We want to make sure our clients first of all are happy with the premium quality. That can only be achieved when there is sufficient amount of time allowed. We also run legal business and that includes paying for insurance and taxes. While some of our competitors can provide excellent quality service at a cheaper rate, most likely than not they do not have all required by state insurances, do not check background of their workers and pay cash to their staff. That can be a definite saving for the business and result in cheaper rate. I want my clients to be confident in our company and feel protected. That is also part of our service package.

I used them several different times over the holidays and I was honestly impressed with them so I use them for routine cleaning. They come over every two weeks and I have a contract with them. I used a couple of other companies before them and I wasn?t necessarily impressed. I tried out different ones and they are the ones that I landed with. The price was higher when I just used them one day or one time and now that I have a contract, it is actually cheaper.

Just to reiterate: first couple of visits are always priced higher. The team needs more time on the first visit to make sure they do a thorough job and not missing anything. Any time a client gets on a regular schedule, we determine a flat rate based on the last two hourly visits. We assign same crew and the team comes regularly on the same day. Our prices for regular visits usually about 20% less than the price for the first basic visit and can be as much as up to 50% less if your first cleaning was an extensive deep cleaning.
