America's Best, Inc

The deal was a full house cleaning by 1 person for 8 hours or 2 people for 4 hours. I chose the later. On the day of the cleaning, the van arrived at my home on time but to my dismay, there were 3 people instead of 2 and the third person was a teenager. I found out that it's a team of grand mother, daughter and grand daughter. They brought a generic walmart vacuum cleaner and a few cleaning supplies. The third member of the crew was useless. She just pretended to dust something when we were watching. The grand mother was OK but not worth hiring as a cleaning woman. The mom was fantastic and the areas she cleaned were spotless. After 2 and half hours, they said their time was up because they had 3 people in the team. I chose not to argue just out of sympathy for an old woman and a young teenager who would rather spend time with her friends than cleaning toilets. Anyway, I would probably not hire them again as I can do better job than what the two cleaners did.

Overall a good experience. When I noticed a few spots they missed, they were very responsive. I would use them again.

There was one nice lady who did all the work. She had most of the cleaning supplies, but asked to use my vacuum as hers was not working. I thought she did an adequate job, but I did not feel that for the price I got my monies worth. She dusted furniture tops, but did not move anything to do the whole surface, just around the objects on any surface. When I read about this deal, I thought it would be a more thorough cleaning. She borrowed my steam floor cleaner to do my wood floors. However, in a couple of areas she kept the steam on the floor too long and damaged the surface. Nothing that I can't repair, but she shouldn't have used it if she didn't know how to work it. She didn't ask to use it, she must have seen it in the closet where I stored it in the master bedroom and I didn't realize she was using it until she was almost finished. This was the first time I've had anyone come in to clean. I'll shop around next time and get references.

They came in a timely manner. They were very fast and did a nice job.

Was told there would be 2 people for 4hrs. When they arrived only one person came for the entire day. No one informed me of this change and therefore I had to cancel my plans for the rest of my day. The deal was advertised as deep cleaning. However there was a list of things they didn't do such as blinds, anything taller than a step ladder, appliances( microwave fridge oven) unless you paid more. These were all things I consider deep cleaning. Plus what she did do was just average cleaning at best.

The first scheduled appointment had to be rescheduled as the previous job they were on went longer than expected. This was not really that big of a problem for me. The Angie's List deal that I purchased only covered so many feet of gutter (which is understandable). I failed to notice this prior to the visit and when the contractor showed up I was a little surprised to learn that if I wanted all of my gutters cleaned I would have to pay and additional $90 (over and above the $100 already paid). This took me a little by surprise as my house is not huge, just average. This was completely my fault for not looking at the fine print on the deal. Well in the end Americas Best decided that under the circumstances it was better to have a satisfied customer so they ended up cleaning all of my gutters for the original $100. This was extremely gracious on their part and they were by no means required to do so. As a result of this I am very happy with the experience.

America's Best is America's Mediocre. I contracted with them to put lights in my trees. At the beginning of the appointment, I asked them if I had purchased enough lights. I figured if there wasn't enough I could run out and purchase more whild they started the work. They assured me that there were plenty of lights. They asked if I wanted the lights up and down or around the trees. I said "around" and please do not wrap the trunk. After the first tree was done, they said that they would need more lights. I ran out to Target and purchased 5 more reels of lights, When I returned they were gone. I was later told that they had another appointment; and yet in the beginning they were willing to stay extra if the job needed it. While I was out purchasing lights, they wrapped the second tree. They put the lights on up and down and wrapped the trunk! I had to schedule another appointment to get this fixed. They came back fixed the tree that was wrapped incorrectly -- this took an hour. So I paid extra just for them to correct their mistake. Regarding the lights themselves. The entire job was completed with 4 reels of llights. I had initially purchased 5 reels and then had to run out for another 5 reels after having been told that 5 was enough. In summary, there was a real lack of professionalism with this group. I will say that Amanda at the office was very good. Too bad the people doing the work weren't half that good.

Came on time and hung up lights

The team arrived at approx 11 (within the agreed upon range i purchased a deep cleaning, and mea culpa, I did not have a list of what I wanted cleaned specifically ready. I did indicate what rooms, and what cleaning product to use for the hardwood floors. They did a very good job of cleaing the dust from the top of my kitchen cabinets, and worked very hard to clean the caulk around my shower, however, the rest of the house was not cleaned in the same manner that I have experienced from other cleaning companies when asking for a DEEP clean. They clearly did not spend the time deep cleaning as they left an hour before the other company I have subsequently hired would spend doing the same agreed upon cleaning. They did ask if there was anything they missed, but quite frankly, it was not so much that they missed anything it was just the whole manner in which the home was cleaned. i did find several things after they left that were not clean such as the kitchen counter and several parts of several rooms that were not not dusted. (no ceiling fans or light fixtures were dusted, objects were dusted by running a feather duster over then, they were not picked up and dusted. Things like dusting the between the rails of dining room chairs, etc were just not done.

And to it they went. All was cleaned, scrubbed, vacuumed, dusted, polished, and then put back just the way it was. I was throughly impressed with all of them. As a side note, this was my daughters home and I was there to watch my beautiful granddaughter Shelby. She just turned 3 on December 1 and is a very happy and gregorious child. Her requests to 'help' were met with an immediate 'you bet!' She was gived a small 3 year old chore and when finished went on to the next 'job' from the remaining 2 helpers. They were very kind to her, laughed and teased her, and just made her entire day! (My nose was alittle out of joint, for the entire time they were there she didn't see me for diddle squat!) Very very pleased.

We called them. They arrived as scheduled and did the work to our complete satisfaction.

They called the evening before they were scheduled to do the job and said they'd need to push it back 24 hours or to some other mutually agreeable day; waiting an extra day didn't interfere with anything on my end, and that was the only hiccup in the process. Their rep showed up on the rescheduled date right on time and did a thorough job on both house and garage, flushing the downspouts with my garden hose and hauling the trash away with him. He was nice, professional, and quick; overall, a good experience.

We were very pleased with the work done by the two cleaners. They were on time, efficient, and did an excellent job.

They arrived, got right to work. Didn't break any glass or screens.

The service person had some concerned about the height of my home he stated it was higher than average 2 story. After contacting his supervisor services were provided without additional cost. I added window cleaning to service. At the end I was satisfied with services provided...

I called America's Best when I saw the daily deal on Angie's list. I was real happy with the price of $50 per guy per hour, because the other options were to do it myself (I don't like getting on the roof anymore and hanging lights) or go with the companies that want $1000 and up to decorate the house. So, I bought the deal and made an appointment. The day they were scheduled to come, I l stretched out all of the lights on the roof next to the places they were going to be installed along with bags of clips to hang them. My idea was one guy would be on the upper roof and the other on the lower and they would be able to knock it out in 1 hour. I was not there when they arrived, but when I arrived home, the team that was sent out was 1 guy with his wife and mother. The mother was on the ground holding a bag of clips, the wife was on the ground watching and the guy was on the roof installing the clips and lights. The job ended up taking a little over 2 hours because he was the only one installing. I did give him the extra money because I figured he would not be paid by the company and I would ask them for a refund on the money that was paid to them through Angie's List. They did end up refunding me for the extra hour. I think the concept is great and they could really do a lot of business, but they need to train people better and send out teams that work efficiently. I am also concerned about liability if anyone were to be injured while performing the work.

It was OK. The guy her did the cleaning was good, getting scheduled was not as easy. Also when I they canceled due to a scheduling conflict I had to choose another date. They never called back after I left a message so I had to contact them again. They seem nice enough and concerned but, I think it would be easier to have a local company do it since we are central time and the office is on West Coast time.

I would give the company a C and the guy a D. I don’t want to hurt the company. The guy just needs to learn some phone manners.

They arrived late to the job with two people and didn't have a functioning ladder. They were going to hang lights on two trees, but only did half of one. They were nice people, but their work was not satisfactory. We had to hire another company to come and redo the work that they did.

The gentleman came within the given time frame. The Big Deal allowed for only a certain number of feet of gutter cleaning. He measured and gave me the price for all work, but then noticed that many of the gutters did not need much cleaning. He did the entire job for the Big Deal price I paid. Very nice-honest-and much appreciated.

They did as asked and the price was good. They are hard workers.Thank you.

Scheduling was quite easy. The serviceman arrived on time, cleaned the windows well and quickly. He cleaned up after himself. I was very pleased.

Showed up at appointment time and got right to work. One person cleaned screens while another cleaned windows. They offered to clean two sky lights while on roof anyway!

i called them from Angies list and set an appt. they came out and cleaned the gutters and downspouts and i paid them. Not much more than that.
