AA Best Appliance Service

I left a message at AA Best at 8:00 AM, got a call back at 8:30 and got a same day appointment. They followed my directions to call my cell phone 10 minutes before arriving. Manny arrived at 10:30 and finished the work at 11:30. The drain tube was frozen, so he thawed the line. He checked carefully to make sure no damage had been done and there were no leaks. Manny was extremely pleasant and efficient. I would call AA Best for any appliance repair. Your won't get faster or better service anywhere. Whirlpool wanted to give me a service appointment in 2 1/2 weeks!

They weren't able to fix the power failure problem but they did fix a leak in the washer. They also were able to mount the washer properly.

They did a very good job; were professional, on-time, and honest. He tried to keep the costs to a minimum and came back a few times that day since the washer was having problems.

His gauges were far better and more sophisticated than mine, which, as it turned out were very inaccurate. Mostly, he gave me advice on preheating the oven, waiting for appropriate times, and not rushing through my baking. Yes, he really did not have to make any changes to my oven, but he did take the time to explain things to me as well as thoroughly check things out. He only charged me the basic rate for the call, and I felt that it was money well spent.

Unfortunately the next time I used the washer it was still leaking. Ivan came out immediately and probed a little further and found the drain hose, which is normally bent, had cracks in it which allowed the water to leak out. He replaced the hose and solved the problem. No more leak. He was very professional and fixed the problem the next day. It was understandable that he thought the problem was fixed on the first visit.

I had just signed up with Angie's List and didn't have the coupon, but he gave me the discount anyway. He offers senior discounts too, so when my ice maker went out of commission on New Years Eve, I called him on 1/2, and he came out to fix that as well and it saved me 15%. He does an excellent job, and I'd recommend him to everyone!

I called to have a dishwasher repaired. The service person called and complained that there was no parking (there is a parking lot right across the street). When he finally found parking he apparently stood at the Washington Street entrance to the building and didn't read the sign that said to enter the building at 115 N. Carpenter. He tried to call and the line was busy. He didn't try any other extensions. When we called back he screamed and said that ''he could waste all day on me.'' If you are looking for customer service and common sense, this is not the company to call.

Mr. Velez checked and found that my gas service had been discontinued. His behavior was a bit too unprofessional, but he did find the problem, came on time, and was consistent with the estimate cost.

We called Ivan on a Monday and made an appointment for 2 days later on a Wednesday. He asked for a 2 hour window, from 1 to 3pm we agreed on. Ivan showed up at 2:20. He looked over our dishwasher and determined the problem right away. A float on the bottom of the dishwasher was stuck in position, he fixed it right away. Overall, we are very satisfied with Ivan, and would use him again. We don't mind that he charged us for his time to come out to our house, but since it was such a quick job (10 minutes) it seemed that to charge us for labor was a bit much. We would have thought that his base fee would have included at least of hour of labor time. But to be honest, we're just a little embarrassed that we couldn't figure out such a simple thing ourselves.

They were great. I called on a Saturday, and they came by first thing Monday morning. The technician went above and beyond the call of duty, and solved the problem quickly and professionally.

I scheduled an appointment with Ivan to come to my house and fix my washing machine. I described the problem to him over the phone (the washing machine was not draining properly). Ivan agreed to take the job and came out to my house the next morning. Ivan arrived on time and was able to fix the washer within 30 minutes. Apparently, a piece of clothing became logged in one of the drainage pipes. I would use the service again. The price seemed a little expensive, but I wouldn't have the first clue about taking apart a washer and fixing it.

Ivan was phenomenal. I called Tuesday, and he came on Wednesday. He gave a two-hour window but agreed to call my cell when he was 20 minutes, so I didn't have to be home the whole time. He took off his shoes (some repairmen won't). The problem with my fridge was something that I could have done myself, so he showed me exactly what to do and told me how often it should be done to keep this from happening again. He was very neat in his work and fun to talk to. The price was half of what GE charges, and they make you wait 2 weeks. He also helped me figure out why stuff in my fridge was freezing and showed me where my settings should be. He will be the first person I call for anything in the future.

Ivan was great...on time, friendly, neat, and told be everything about the work he was doing (as well as letting me know how much it would cost before he performed the work). I will be recommending him to my neighbors.

I had Ivan come out because I thought I had a leak in my dishwasher and it turned out to be a leak in the perimeter of my kitchen sink and around the faucet. So he instructed me on how I could fix it. He was very nice and efficient without being overly friendly. Only charged me the service charge amount to come out to my home. I went to the hardware store. Bought the sealant for a few dollars and went home and fixed it myself. So far so good. No leak.

Called the company and was laughed at by the contact, Ivan. I told him I didn't want to work with someone who laughed at my troubles. I would NOT contact this person based on my experience.

Responded to my call and fit me in for same day service, fixed broken part instead of replacing it because cost of replacement would not be worth it. He warned that if part breaks again I should probably consider new machine instead of spending money to fix if. I appreciated the honesty, expertise, and timeliness.

Ivan was extremely polite, from the initial phone call to his confirmation call just before he arrived. Ivan was on time, and thoroughly checked all parts, that could cause the problem before switching out the part. He also gave me great advice on having my dryer vent cleaned out, from the machine to the exterior of my condo. The whole experience was pleasant, Ivan was a blast to talk to while, he worked and my dryer works like a dream. Took about 1 hour.

They were responsive, showed up on time and were professional. I thought their trip fee was a little high, but it was worth it once they also fixed the problem.

Great. Ivan is very nice and tried the easy fixes (which worked) before more expensive solutions.

Ivan showed up on time, as promised. Very nice and straightforward and after saying he needed a rather expensive part we asked if it was worth it. He said given the high-end nature of the dishwasher, he thought so and promised to return the following business day with the part. He did, as promised. He replaced the part and gave me recommendations on other appliances. Like I said, nice guy and clearly a professional in his work. You are strongly urged to use AA Best.

First, I checked Angie's List for a washing machine repair service and chose AA Best Appliance Repair because of the solid A rating, number of glowing reports and proximity to my house. I called and spoke with Ivan and described the problem with my washer. The problem had developed on a Friday morning while I was running a load of wash before work. While he was able to come out that day, I needed to schedule the repair for Saturday, which he was able to do. Ivan arrived within the estimated timeframe. First he checked the vent in the wall, which was pretty clogged. Then he quickly opened up the machine and went to work checking it out. He was systematic and professional and he explained what he was doing as he worked. As he assessed the condition of the belts and other parts, he offered me choices on what to replace and what to keep. I opted for preventive maintenance on the visibly worn parts and trusted his judgment that the motor would last awhile. I'll call him when it goes!

Manny was on time and personable. They were able to come the day after I had called (very important for a family that uses the clothes washer daily). He diagnosed the problem and then gave me the cost to fix it. In the process of replacing the belt he found that the pump drive had been damaged, and although it may not have caused a problem, requested permission to replace the pump drive as well. The damaged pump drive may not have caused problems initially, but could have caused problems later on. Manny replaced the drive, adding only the cost of the drive to the initial quote, rather than charging additional labor costs also. He also honored the 10% discount for Angie's List customers. He cleaned the area where he was working, and demonstrated that the washer was again working well. I appreciated his professionalism. He also did not seem to be annoyed by other general questions I asked him about my washer and dryer.

I received a call from Ivan the morning of the appointment. His computer hard drive had crashed with his current appointment schedule on it! He was calling back all the numbers listed on his answering machine's caller i.d. to make sure he didn't miss an appointment. Fortunately, my appointment was the same day, and I didn't have to wait at all.

I was never aware of the service call. They did a poor job. I wasn't getting any water due do the work they were doing. The plumber never told me he was turning the water off.

Called on Friday and spoke with Mr. Velez and described what was wrong with the washing machine. I had gone online and did a trouble shooting search before talking with Mr. Velez. We set up an appointment for Monday with a two hour window and he was here within that time frame. The work was done. He is a very pleasant man and I would call again.
