AA Best Appliance Service

I told Ivan over the phone that the washing machine was making this loud noise like a laser gun. He arrived on time and was very friendly. He found the problem immediately and was very helpful. When he arrived I also asked him to replace the dryer hose, which he did promptly. The best part was that because the "laser" problem was not a big deal, he cut down his price. I would definitely call AA Best Appliance for any problems we have in the future. Overall great experience!

I called Ivan Thursday of last week, and the only opening he had was today, Monday, between 4 and 5. We did not get off the ground with him even doing the work, because he tried to confirm while I was in transit on the way to the job site. In addition, his manner on the phone was rude and unacceptable, and I would not recommend using his service.

Serviceman was prompt. After manually draining dishwasher, he found a small porcelain chip that had come off a plate and was blocking the drain. Once he put everything back together and tested it, it worked fine. Over the phone, he quoted me a $39 service call and $80/hour. After he fixed my dishwasher, he asked me how I found him and I said from "Angie's List". I got the impression he wasn't happy; perhaps because he had a 10% discount for Angie's List customers? After he left (of course), I looked at his quoted price and realized he charged me for more than an hour. When I called him, he said it was because he was here for an hour and 15 minutes and since I wasn't watching the clock, I couldn't verify. I couldn't help feeling that it would have been cheaper without the coupon.

Our clothes dryer was spinning, but no heat. We called Ivan, and he was able to come out within the hour. He repaired dryer, cleaned out the vent. Service was fast, easy. A real great guy; would gladly recommend his services to anyone. We'll definitely call him again.

Ivan Velez was knowledgeable, efficient, polite and on time. Gave 10% Angie's List discount and gave background on my older Kitchen Aid machine. Obviously would recommend this company in the future.

Ivan came the next afternoon to repair our dryer. He was very nice and willing to offer advice. He quickly fixed the problem and cleaned up after himself. His work was excellent and I would call him again.

The initial response was fast. They showed up when they said they would and quickly returned to finish the job.

I called and left a message about my dryer problem. My call was returned within a half hour. The dryer still worked so it wasn't urgent and an appointment the next day was best for me. I liked the fact that the person asked when *I* wanted to schedule it rather than making me feel like I had to accommodate their schedule. He almost seemed surprised that I really had no preference as long as it was when my kids were in school. Manny, the technician, came in the first 20 minutes of the 2 hour scheduling window. He suspected the problem from my description of the "clunking sounds", so he brought the replacement part with him when he knocked on my door. He turned on the dryer and instantly confirmed the problem. Since he had the part, he went right to work and had finished the job in only 20 minutes. He showed me the broken part, explained why it caused the noise, and noted that clothes will dry faster with a working blower motor. Manny was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Ivan was wonderful about following up with me regarding the part and notified me immediately when it came in. He even came to fix it when convenient for me. I would recommend him to anyone and definitely seek him out again if needed.

Excellent. Ivan was quick, clearly stated the issue and let us determine if we were going to repair or replace. We went with repair.

The repairman that was sent to the house was professional and friendly. He made sure to ask before removing portions of the cabinetry that blocked access to the dishwasher. He did his best to duplicate the leaking, offered explanations as to why it might have leaked before and not now, and apologized that he couldn't make it leak. He inspected everything, gave me tips on how to avoid a common expensive repair on this model of the dishwasher, and adjusted one of the dishwasher feet so that the dishwasher would no longer be tilted. Really a nice guy. I still had to pay the base home visit fee, but they told me about the fee before they came out. At least I know that I have a working dishwasher now!

Called and spoke to Ivan late Wednesday. Told him I believed the washer pump had failed. Gave him the model number. He promised to come between 8-10 AM Friday. Quoted $49 diagnostic charge. He arrived on time, was clean, professional and courteous and performed the repair as promised. We had him clean the dryer and check for any other problems, which he did. Total price including parts less 10% Angie discount and 5% senior discount was $217, which we felt was very fair. Would definitely call Ivan again.

Very well. Ivan was very thorough in trying to figure out what the problem was. First he thought our venting tubes might be clogged with lint, but I had just cleaned them all out. He ran the dryer and listened for when the timing mechanism clicked in and when the gas would start flowing. In the end he replaced two little black rubber-looking things inside the front of the dryer (something to do with the timing, maybe??). Ivan was so nice and very friendly. He thought the vent tubing behind the dryer was too long and coiled, so he shortened it for me. He also found that the drum needed extra padding around it to give it a tighter fit, so he adjusted that. He also found lots of lint on the inside of the dryer once he opened the whole thing up, so he cleaned it out for me. He did such a great job, I didn't even ask him for the 10% discount he offered through Angie's List. I would highly recommend Ivan and his company.

They were able to come within 2 days of calling them - it was a non-emergency. They repair was on-time and completed the repair very quickly. They did a great job.

I feel that they were very honest, they gave me a few recommendations for my replacement machine, and I was very pleased with the discount he gave me on the minimum fee!! I'd recommend them to anybody!

It went really well. I called early this morning. They told me they would try to be here between 3 and 5, and asked if it was ok to call back if they could make it earlier. I am home all day today, so that was fine. They called back at 10 am and said they were going to come in 1/2 an hour. He came in, was very polite (wiped his feet very well on the mat) showed me what he was doing, explained about the unique features of our oven, showed me the double mother board and told me it could cost as much as $300 to replace it. He was very thorough about testing the lines and making sure it was the internal transformer. He closed it up and warned me about plugging to many things into one line, and gave me some advice about buying a new oven. He was funny and polite and a pleasure to have here.

Ivan quickly analyzed the problem (a part burned out that controls the opening and closing of the drain valve). Ivan was able to find a replacement in his truck (even though GE normally doesn't sell this part separately) and was able to complete the repairs in less than a hour. Explained everything to me. Very courteous and pleasant.

It was a great experience, and I would definitely call again. Not only was the washer repaired, but Ivan walked me step-by-step through the process, identifying the hot and cold water lines, how to tell which one was clogged, how to move the washer out from the counter, and how to remove the hose and clear the filter. He also made some suggestions for me to pass on to my building engineer about the water supply to my unit. But the best is it now takes about 35 minutes to run a load of laundry, as opposed to the 4 hours it was taking before the service call!

I called Ivan at 11:30. Repair was done be 1:15 same day. He was on time, professional. He also found other small problems with the dishwasher and fixed them as well. Great job! I will recommend him.

The oven bake feature was not working, but the stove and broiler were. Ivan made an appt. for first thing in the morning on the next business day and showed up within the allotted time frame. He was very polite, and upon inspection, determined that the igniter was broken. He explained the GE parts pricing and that the service call was $49, had the part on hand, and completed the work in about 20 minutes. He also gave me tips and showed me how to avoid repairs on my other appliances!

He was able to reset the computer (maybe called memory board), but it would still not function. He called his supplier and found out that the part is no longer made. He said that unfortunately we'd need to replace the whole dishwasher and gave suggestions on which dishwashers he felt were the best.

Excellent. AA Best found the problem and fixed it. They had to come back because the first time they did not have in stock the switch that needed to be replaced. So they installed a "quick fix" switch that was not perfect but got me cooking again. The following week AA Best came back with the right switch and installed it. I paid labor and no material costs for the first visit, and just material costs (for the switch) for the second visit. No charge for labor on the second visit.

Called for repair to my refrigerator. After explaining the problem and telling him the model of fridge, he let me know I would be better off calling the manufacturer to come fix it because there was a recall in place. I appreciated the honesty, and that he didn't come to my house to get the service call fee when he wouldn't be able to fix my problem. He said if I wanted him to come out to look at it he could be at my home in the next two hours, though. I chose to call the manufacturer as recommended.

He was punctual nice and did good work. He was a nice person to work with and I would recommend him.
