AA Best Appliance Service

Late on a Monday night, while doing a large load of laundry, my dryer started making noise and when I checked on it, I noticed it wasn't heating. Based upon their proximity to my house and the large number of favorable reviews here, I called AA Best Tuesday morning. They were nice on the phone and agreed to come out Wednesday afternoon between 1-3. Ivan came at 1:30 and was very nice and professional. He was pretty sure the problem was the coils, and took the time to show me what he was looking for and explain the problem. He also noticed my lint screen was starting to fall apart and put a screw in to fix it, saving me from having to order another one. At first, he was unable to duplicate the heating problem and he told me he would credit the $69 for looking at the problem toward the repair if he had to come out again to fix it, which I thought was more than fair. Right as he was writing up the ticket, the noise came back and the dryer stopped heating. Ivan again showed me what was going on and then fixed the problem with a set of coils off his truck. I was happy the problem was fixed and very pleased with the service.

The serviceman was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our clothes dryer had to be run twice or even three times to get the clothes completely dry. He replaced our heating coil and recommended that we call a dryer vent cleaning company in addition. After looking inside our crawlspace, he noted how short the vent was (and that it wasn't up to code) and went ahead and replaced it for us. He also cleaned out the portion of the vent that exited through the roof, saving us the expense and trouble of having another service person out to the house. The dryer runs perfectly now, and we're very happy with our experience with a best appliance repair.

He was there on time, pleasant, and efficient.

The determination was that the fridge was OK but was improperly packed. We re-packed the fridge, but unfortunately it kept defrosting the freezer and was warmer in the fridge. We ultimately decided to buy a new fridge after the visit, rather than continuing to call and repair it.

Called on Sunday and received a call-back the same day with various appointment options. They arrived promptly (ahead of schedule actually, which they called me to confirm that was OK). They were very efficient in checking potential problems and I got a lot of practical tips along the way on how to keep things running well. What I appreciated most is that they seem very focused on diagnosing the actual problem, and coming up with the most cost-effective solution for me rather than pushing for an expensive compressor replacement.

Very well-repairman/owner was timely & performed work efficiently. He caught a problem that would have cost me more if he didn't diagnose the problem correctly.

He showed up on time to do the work. He was very clean when he came over to do the work. He did a very good job. The price was very reasonable for what he did.

Technician was scheduled to come between 11 am and 1 pm and showed up promptly a little after 11 am. He took a look at the refrigerator, checking to see if fan was blocked and if it needed cleaning. Based on looking over the fridge, he believes that it requires a Freon recharge, and recommended I contact the manufacture since it's likely still under warranty-and if he opened it up, it would negate the warranty. There was no charge for this.

The project went well. The repairman advised me as to how I could address this problem myself should it reoccur in the future.

Based on Angie's List reviews I called this Company on Thursday and set an Appt. for Friday. He came right on time and fixed the problem in a little over an hour. Very Nice Guy.

They were excellent. Two men came to do work for us. They were very respectful and polite to us and to each other. They were punctual, fast and inexpensive. We called him out for a different repair a week later. He was unable to acquire the necessary parts to complete the job, so he didn't charge us for the visit.

Excellent experience. Technician arrived on time and handled repair quickly and efficiently. Charges broken down as $69.00 diagnostics charge, $89.00 flat rate repair.

Ivan called back within an hour of receiving my call. He gave me a 2 hour window and arrived on time. I explained the problem and he diagnosed the problem right away, the coils in the freezer were completely frozen over. The heating and cooling cycle was not working properly so there was barely any cool air being circulated. He was pretty fast with the repair (about an hour) and even cleaned out the vent in the back of the refrigerator. Ivan was very pleasant to work with and now our fridge works better than ever.

GREAT! I called at 11:30 am and he was out by 1 pm!! Ivan was friendly and very helpful. He showed me how to do the maintenance. He also took a look at another frig. we have in the basement. It is new and wasn't sealing well. Ivan adjusted the feet of the frig. so that it would seal more easily if the kids don't push the door closed carefully. He also gave me a tip about Vaseline to improve the seal.

Called on Monday morning, Ivan was able to come out on Tuesday afternoon. He had the part on hand so was able to make the repair right away. Ivan is very courteous, explains what he is doing and why, and provides general maintenance suggestions. Ivan has serviced our dryer (for a different issue) before. I was pleased then with the service/cost and am pleased now.

I appreciated his honesty before commencing a very expensive repair. He finished within 30 minutes and I was very pleased with his work.

Our dishwasher began leaking last night. Not a drip, but water running out the front of the washer and across the kitchen floor. Ivan came today -- a day early and on his lunch hour -- when another customer canceled. He called ahead to make sure it was okay, said he'd be here in 20 minutes, and he was. He assessed the leak and began looking for its cause. Along the way he found a gasket that was not only not replaced, but misplaced in the drain -- the work of a previous "repair" job. He replaced the gasket to its proper place, fixing the original problem. Then he cleaned all kinds of mold and debris from the drain and filter. He trimmed a drainage pipe that has been too long from the machine's initial installation and often overflows across the counter. He ran the washer twice to make certain the problem was solved and then offered advice on how to keep mold from growing inside the drain and filter.

It was a good experience. He did everything he said he would.

Ivan was very quick in diagnosing the problem. We needed an automotive part to replace a hose nozzle that had broken on the back of the refrigerator and was spraying water all over, thereby ruining the wooden flooring. I have a auto parts store in my neighborhood, and we walked over an pick up what he needed. It did not take very long at all to repair the appliance.

They did a great job. They came when they said that they would and did the job in a timely matter. The price that was give was reasonable and competitive. They were very friendly, kind and very easy to work with.

Although he was already booked solid when I called his office, he went out of his way to fit me in the same day and then went out of his way to finish the job the same day, which included him having to leave to get parts and go briefly to another job. He then returned as promised and completed the job. Because the fridge was old, he inspected it first to tell me whether it was worth the money to fix it. Though it really should have been put down because of how old it was, I was not ready to get a new fridge. So for less money than I had expected, he proceeded to save the day and the ice cream. On top of all this, he was very pleasant.

I called on Saturday and they answered the phone. They got back to me right away about who would come to the house. They came when they said and they were very pleasant. He was honest about the repair.

Called at 10am and had appointment set for between 2pm - 4pm the same day. Ivan came out at 2:20pm, took the washer apart and found problem immediately. Hose had a crack in it. He was able to fix the problem without having me buy a brand new hose. I was able to watch everything he was doing. He was very quick at fixing the problem and gave me a few helpful maintenance tips. Very nice guy.

I contacted AA Best when I realized my freezer was warm and water was dripping from it. Ivan called back right away and came out within a few hours. He diagnosed that the intake grill on the back of the frig was clogged with cat hair (a warning to all people with cats). He cleaned out the grill and came back the next day with the necessary part (to replace a burned out part), installed the new part and the frig/freezer works fine now.

Ivan was punctual, friendly, and explained everything he was doing. He has a good sense of humor, and is very knowledgeable at his trade. I am very happy to have found him!!
