Excellent work and the repairman and his assistant were completely helpful in doing the work and providing advice on what to do to prevent another breakdown of this dryer.

The service went very well, the visit lasted just under an hour and I received the Angie's List 10% discount when I provided a printed coupon. Ivan also gave me helpful tips on how to improve the machine's performance through routine maintenance and operating procedures.

I called on Tuesday, May 26th, and I was able to get an appointment for dishwasher repair on Thursday, May 28th (probably could have come even sooner, but Thursday was good for me). The woman who took my call explained the cost very clearly: $69 for someone to come to my home and diagnose the problem, and then they would let me know what the parts and labor would cost, should I choose to proceed with any necessary repairs. My appointment time was between 9am and 11am, and Ivan and his trainee, Jesus, came just before 10:30am. They were both very professional and very friendly. Ivan knew right away that our problem was a simple one. He removed the lower spray arm and all the accompanying parts and showed me how to clean it. Food and calcium can build up and get caught in the spray arm, which means water doesn't flow through it properly. Ivan also showed me how to attach the arm and lock it into place, something that my owner's manual didn't explain and that we couldn't figure out on our own. Our problem turned out to be very simple, but Ivan was very patient in showing me how to operate the spray arm properly from here on out. He only charged me the $69 service call fee, and then he offered some free advice on taking care of our refrigerator, which was much appreciated.

We called for service on Tuesday, and was able to get service within only a couple of hours. Service was very professional and our refrigerator is now working perfectly. We will definitely use AA Best Appliance again!

He has done a great job. He is punctual and accommodating. The price is reasonable.

Our dryer started making a strange noise whenever we started it up, so I called a couple places to get a repair scheduled. Ivan diagnosed the problem very quickly and quoted me a price for installing a new blower wheel. This is the first time in 7 years that we have had a problem with this dryer, so I told him to go ahead with the repair. The dryer is working like new again and we are very happy.

Ivan found that it wasn't the dryer,but a problem with our dryer vent.

Ivan was the technician who came, and he was pleasant and courteous; he seems to be a really nice guy. I'm an engineer who normally does his own repairs, but didn't have the time or experience with this model to take this on myself. Ivan explained what he was doing as he worked, and it's obvious that he is as knowledgeable as he is honest. He did an excellent job and didn't cut any corners. My only quibble would be on price, as it was a one hour visit and the only parts he used were two pieces of plastic and some grease, yet the charge was $194 (it cost me $174 after the 10% Angie's List discount). However maybe my expectations are off in this regard: he did come to my home within 24 hours of my phone call, he did a good job, and he seems to be an honest guy. I'll definitely call AA Best Appliance Repair if I ever need any help again.

He was prompt, professional, clean and he explained what he needed to do and explained why the valve had failed. I wish he was a plumber so I could use him to replace the hot water heater that caused the valve failure.

Called in the morning, got an appointment for that afternoon. Ivan gave a 2 hour window and showed up within that time period. Diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed it and told us how to prevent it from happening in the future. Excellent service!

We had Ivan out a couple of years ago to look at our fridge. He came and looked at it, couldn't help us and didn't charge us. His Angie's List ratings have seemed to improve since then. We called last week for our stove, which had been having issues and then completely died. Our service call could have been for last week, but due to work conflicts we arranged a call on Monday. I love when services call ahead of time and see if they can start earlier. It seems pretty rare, as most places tend to run behind. Ivan arrived earlier than his time. Did a quick look see, changed out the igniter and was on his way. Price of the service call and repair was 229. Total time of service was between 30 and 45 minutes. Ivan is professional and pleasant. It feels like having an "in" by having him come and make a house call. We'd definitely use him again and would have no problem recommending him.

Called back immediately and was flexible with appointment time. He came exactly when he said he was able to. Informed us that the motor needed to be replaced, and that the motor would cost $300 - we decided against the repair since the dryer was 10+ years old. We had him look at our Jenn-Air stove where there was a malfunction with the ventilation system. He was able to identify the problem quickly and make the repair with a reasonable price. Honest and affordable would be best to describe his attitude and work ethic.

He is a really decent, honest man. He is really pleasant. He gave us a realistic estimate of what would be valuable and what wouldn't. He is very reliable. He came on time. He is good at assesing the situation. He didn't try to do work that he did think was affective, which was really important.

From the start, Jane, the receptionist, was courteous, professional, and showed attention to my call in terms of pinpointing issues and scheduling service within my time frame. When the service person, Ivan, came out to my home, he diagnosed and performed the required service promptly and efficiently, providing me with cost information prior to fixing each appliance. The service on my stove required a follow-up visit, which was done in the same professional manner. I've not been as happy in years with the service and results received and would highly recommend AA Best to anyone.

The ice maker in our GE 'frig was not working. Within a few minutes of looking at the 'frig, Ivan diagnosed the problem, pulled out the bad part and called to get a price check. We discussed replacing it verses just cleaning the part so it could be reused and I decided to have it replaced. He was going to return the following week to replace it but called a few hours later to say he had the part and could he come back and finish the job. I said an immediate YES! He finished the job. Also, my dryer was making noise and he listened to it, took it apart, found a problem and got a replacement part for that as well. When he returned to finish the 'frig repair, he finished the dryer repair. Considering that he came out and fixed everything THE SAME DAY I MADE THE SERVICE CALL impressed me greatly. Ivan clearly knows his business, is funny and knowledgeable. I would call him again in a heartbeat.

Apparently Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village are outside their "Boundary" so they would not come out to fix my washer. Anything south of North Avenue is a no go for them. Very disappointed and I felt discriminated and targeted as a bad neighborhood. I guess they haven't noticed that this area has changed significantly. Also, I had to call several times before someone answered. I thought I had dialed the wrong number.

Ivan arrived within the specified time and after grimacing at the butchering I'd done to the washer, assessed the actual problem -- a broken timer -- then fixed it and the mess I had made. He offered me a choice of replacing the timer or bypassing the dead switch, the only drawback of which was that the washer would not stop if the lid were opened. I chose the latter to save $100 and he was in and out in 30 minutes. The price was great and Ivan's professionalism even better. He was courteous, professional and extremely friendly. Also, he's hilarious. Best service call I've ever had.

I called, and received a call back right away. We set up an appointment in two days. I asked for a call on my cell as he was on his way there so I could meet him from work. On the day of the appointment, I called to reconfirm, and they gave me his arrival status. He was there on time. He was professional and got straight to business -- he was very efficient. He seemed very knowledgeable and I felt confident that he would solve the problem. He was friendly and articulate -- gave me a good explanation about the problem, and I was pleased he had the tools and parts to do the repair on the spot. It was overall an excellent experience, and I feel confident in his work.
