AA Best Appliance Service

I contacted this company, which is close to my home, about a service call and possible repair. He was prompt, curteous and honest about the machine and what I should do to save money in the long run. I will call them again when I need repair, no question.

Repairman was on time, evaluated dishwasher. Was very honest, said he would replace motor for $200, but dishwasher would need to be replaced again in t years. Then gave recommendations for reasonable, trustworthy replacement brands & locations to shop for them.

Ivan arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the part and even leveled the doors on the appliance! Most important, Ivan was pleasant and explained everything he was doing.

Our GE Triton dishwasher (installed by previous owners) had been leaking from the bottom edge of the door during the wash cycle. Ivan came in and noticed right away that it was not level and said that probably contributed to the problem. After taking it apart, leveling it and finding additional problems (plunger and pump need to be replaced), he gave me an estimate on the additional parts and labor needed. Because it came close to the same price as a new one (albeit a low end one) I said not to do it and we'll replace it. He could have been mad or rude but he was not. He put it back together, collected the $69 service fee (which we would owe either way) and was nothing but pleasant and professional the whole time. We would surely use them again for any repairs. I should also note that they actually came to my house the same day that I called. I rated the price because he did actually work on it, he just did not go forward with additional repairs.

I emailed them on Tuesday. Never heard back. Called them on Thursday and the scheduled me for next Monday morning. Then they called back and rescheduled me for Monday afternoon. Remember, they're only giving me windows, not an appointment time. I was able to get someone else, who was super kind by the way on Friday afternoon. I called AA Best on Monday morning to cancel my appointment. The lady was snippy and said they ask for 24 hours cancellation, which she didn't last Thursday (they're apparently so busy based on not getting back to me or being able to see me that week). I said well, I contacted you last Tuesday and never heard back! Seriously, does she think anyone else has a job besides her and it's not like they put me at the top of the list and giving me red carpet treatment. I'll be sure not to use them for anything. The customer service needs some help.

Very well. The only thing was that he didn't show up for the first appointment. Apparently he had had several cancellations and somehow thought I was one of them. But then he came out early the next day and reduced his service fee to make up for it.

The AA rep was very professional, prompt and courteous. He found the problem and gave us a quote along with the recommendation to possibly replace the dishwasher instead of performing a pricey repair, which we took as a mark of high character. He got us up and running in a short-term capacity and was friendly, reasonable and skilled.

Iven was very personable, helpful, professional and an advocate for the company. He made sure I had a magnet with their contact info on it so that I'd remain a loyal customer.

Replaced a torn gasket in our GE Front-loading Washer. We diagnosed the problem ourselves, told AA the issue and the part number we needed replaced. The part itself cost $153 per GEs website. Ivan called me on his way over, said that instead of coming out twice he was just going to bring the part on his first visit and replace it. I don't think most repair places would have done that, which we appreciated greatly having already known what our washer's issue was. AA charged about the same price for the part was GE, plus $60 for the first time service call, and the $80 for appx 1 hour of labor..total was $299. He was in and out in about 1 hour , was very professional and to this point seems to have done a terrific job.

I have used this company before because I like to support small outfits that provide quality service. Ivan first looked at the remaining food debris in the screen of my dishwasher and said I am not scrubbing the dishes thoroughly enough and that my dishwasher is not of quality to perform the tasks I am asking it to do. I exlpained that I have been rinsing the dishes and then cleaning the screen afterwards of debris which I have not had to do normally and the dishes were still dirty. He just basically said there was nothing he could do (he did reinstall the spray arm). He then asked why I did not look happy, and I explained that we have not changed our habits in 4 years, I do rinse my dishes prior to placing them in the rack and that something has changed. He sort of agrued his point with me again, which I did not appreciate. Don't ask me if you just want to argue you are right. I did not need someone to come out to my house to tell me to rinse the dishes. If this were the case, my dishwasher would never had worked. Only then did look at it further and found the water level was too low... only about 5 cups in the tub rather than 20 cups. The water valve needs to be replaced. We declined service on that as we may choose to replace the dishwasher entirely. He then suggested that we get a Bosch if we want a quality dishwasher. I said, "I understand but we are just a regular family". He then cleaned the laundry vent at our request. I had a huge conversation with the customer service person when I made the appt. because I guess they do not normally do it. I just had read other families on Angie's list mention that they did, so I thought I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. She went ahead and said they would do the work, but I was more than happy to have a company that I normally do it too if this is not a service they provide. When he came out there was again a whole conversation about cleaning out the vent and how he doesn't do that. I did not know why we had to rehash this. He did do a satisfactory job with the vent. He then backed off on the judgement in the end and gave me some more reasonable suggestions for the purchase of the new dishwasher. Those opinions were unsolicited but appreciated. I think he is a very capable repair man but I am having you out because I have a legitimate problem, not because I want to replace my equipment. If I could afford to replace my equipment with brand new top of the line, I would not need a repair man!

I called them up and they were able help me decide to fix it or replace it. I decided to fix it. They were able to do so quickly and showed me what was broken.

It went great. The issues were not nearly as bad as we thought, but they required a decent amount of effort to fix. The fridge basically needed a major dusting underneath. There was so much dust, that it had difficulty sucking in air. This probably had many ramifications regarding our temperature control. He fixed the water maker by installing a new pump and fixing the seal between the water supply and the inside of the freezer. It has been 2 weeks now and the fridge is in tip-top shape with loads of ice. He took a look at our washing machine and said that we should not perform maintenance on it because it's not worth it. What I thought was a problem was not one, although he did suggest we invest in a front-loading washing machine next time if we could afford it. He also suggested some brands that he thought we well made. He was a pleasure to work with, extremely hard working and able.

Our fridge had been leaking on the inside for a while. I needed someone to take a look and clean out the drain from the freezer to the evaporation pan. Ivan was in the area when I called to make an appointment so he was able to get here within 1/2 hour after contacting them. He diagnosed the problem right away and had it fixed within an hour.

Service went very well. Ivan showed up on time, worked quickly to diagnose and fix the problems, and was on his way. Service as advertised- pleasant and professional.

A A best is great from start to finish - have used them more than once. Phone reception was friendly and professional. Was able to get an appointment right away and Ivan showed up on time (they give 2 hour windows of time). Ivan is an expert at fixing appliances. At this appointment he saw the problem with the dryer right away (it was how they installed the venting). Although it isnt his job to fix, he did show us the problem, provided a temporary fix and recommended a handyman that he trusts to do the permanent fix (cut out and replace the venting). In the past he has fixed our refrigerator ice machine expertly and completely. He is always good at providing tips for appliance upkeep and maintenance to keep it running more efficiently and longer. I would highly recommend AA Best withour hesitation.

He found toothpicks and all kinds of unbelievable things in there. He cleaned it all out and then decided to see if motor is working as opposed to putting in a new one. It didn't need one. He was here on time. He cleaned it out. He gave me some advice on little home projects I was doing. He was cheap. He was terrific. He was very friendly, nice and profession. He tidied up. He didn't sell me anything that I didn't need. He was a pleasure to have.

This problem ended up being very persistent and difficult to solve, but Ivan came back and tried a number of solutions until one worked. He charged nothing to return, came immediately, and even came on a holiday! He was very experienced and a delight to have around. Very high integrity. Would use him again for sure.

My experience was great! They gave me a two hour window. He showed up after the first hour, had a diagnosis within about 15 minutes and told me the charges to fix it. After he left, I tried to use the washing machine again and it had the same problem. I called and Ivan came back about 10 minutes later and fixed it again. This time it worked perfectly. On the way out, I asked him a question about my stove burners and he explained some things, and cleaned out one of them, basically fixing all four free of charge. I would definitely use them again.

They were very good. They came at the specified time and they explained everything very nicely to me. They did a good job.

Amazing. I called for service just a few minutes after 5:00 tonight -- a freezing cold, snowy evening -- to report that my freezer was on the fritz. The sympathetic receptionist informed me that Manny (who had serviced a completely different issue on the same appliance recently) was on vacation, and Ivan was swamped for the next few days...but rather than make us wait until next week for service, Ivan decided to come to our house immediately instead of calling it a day, as he had originally planned. Our fridge/freezer was fixed before 7:00 PM!!! Ivan was professional, tidy, friendly, knowledgeable... overall an awesome service experience. Thanks Ivan!!!

Called on a Monday morning that washer wasn't working. Had an appointment for the next morning. They were actually early for the appointment. Manny spent 20 minutes or so diagnosing the problem, then said he would be back in the afternoon with a replacement part. Shortly after lunch, he was back with the part. The two visits probably only took 45 min, but the trip to get the part separated the two visits by several hours.

They were very good. They provided prompt service and it was very easy to work with them. They finished the job in the same day I called them and they were very quick.

They were in and out quick. They were pleasant and prompt. We received service within a day. It is great to have a working oven again.

AA Best arrived during their stated 2-hour window on a Saturday morning, explained to me what they were going to do, did it, then explained to me what they found in layman's terms. They proceeded to service the broken part (water pump) then cleaned up their mess and left. Very professional and very eager to explain the situation. I'll definitely use them again.

The service tech, Ivan, was excellent. He had come in when a different company had botched the repair on my machine. He was quick, thorough, professional and friendly.
