I didn’t need them to do the repair. They were friendly and came out the next day.

Very well, I liked that the tech was able to identify the problem and recomend what need to be done.

We called AA Best to come out and fix our broken dryer. They came out and assessed the problem (broken motor) and ordered us a new motor. They ordered the part and came out a few weeks later to replace the motor. At that time realized there was also a short. The serviceman spent a significant amount of time trying to address the problem and find us a solution. Unfortunately, he determined the dryer couldn't be fixed and at that time he refunded us ALL our money - including the original service call!! While it is unfortunate that we had to buy a new dryer and it took us a few weeks to realize that -- the serviceman did everything possible to try and fix it for us -- and in the end it didn't cost us anything. Given their efforts, we will definitley be using this company again in the future.

I called AA on Monday and whomever I spoke to on the phone was very polite and accommodating. I explained my problem and she was able to schedule Ivan to come out the next day. Ivan showed up on time and was very helpful and professional. He was able to get the broken water filter out of the refrigerator and even showed me how to do it in case it happens again. I suspected that water was not working because the line was frozen but Ivan quickly figured out that it was a blocked line and fixed it. All in all I was very happy with AA. I will definitely call them again if we have other appliance problems.

I called on Sunday and left a message to schedule a repair and on Monday at 8:11 - they open at 8:00 - I got a call and scheduled the service call for the same day. Ivan showed up 30 minutes EARLY, diagnosed the problem in seconds, fixed it in minutes all for the price of the service call. What more can you ask for !

My stove top had been sparking, popping and ultimately on fire - and my oven (from earlier in the month) had stopped working. He started with the fire issue and immediately explained what the problem was and showed me some rusted parts that would prevent easy repair of the shorted spark switch. Then he troubleshot the oven with his electrical meters and determined that one igniter was out and the other was not receiving a signal from the oven's computer. So in total it would have been $700-$800 to get the stove back to fully functioning as it needed two new igniters, a new computer, and a new switch assembly in the stove top (access to which may have broken some other rusted parts.) He sensed that I was not interested in paying that much money and started to think of creative ways to get me up and running. He ultimately disconnected the electric igniter so I could just light the stove with a wand. He thought of a couple of things that I could try to do to only replace one igniter and not the computer but in the end they didn't work out - but I greatly appreciated his willingness to work with me. What I like was that he 1) explained the problems and even showed me the meter readings and faulty parts and 2) started to think of ways that we might be able to get the stove working as much as possible without all of the parts and labor cost. In the end, I paid only the $69 visit fee and he troubleshot the oven and disconnected the one wire. I was extremely happy to have a (mostly) working stove again and be out only the visit fee. Now I will keep an eye out for some killer appliance sales and hopefully replace the stove in the next year (since he got it mostly running again for not much money I don't feel that I sunk a bunch of cash into it and need to hang onto it forever). Received prompt and detailed service on all, as well as advice on regular maintenance, which I really appreicated (and needed!). Definitely recommend them, and would use again.

My 10 year-old dryer was making a metal-on-metal noise while in operation and I suspected I might require a new machine. Called AA Best Appliance and Ivan came out for the service call. He explained that I might be able to get a few more years out of the machine, took the dryer apart, cleaned it and it is working fine since that service call. I would recommend and use them again (be sure to print out the Angie's List coupon and have it with you to save 10%)

Ivan and his assistant arrived on time and went right to work. He determined that the problem was either in the thermostats or the program board in the refrigerator. He replaced the thermostats when he couldn't duplicate the problem, He stated that is might work, but it could be a problem with the program board. It worked for a few days, but then failed to maintain the freezer temperature. Ivan returned and replace the board and the refrigerator has performed well since.

I was extremely pleased by his attitude and response. Ivan is an honest, good man.

They did a great job. I was very happy with their service and I would use them again.

Just want to make sure the rest of the Angie's community know that they do not service Samsung dryers. It's not listed on angie's list company description. Hopefully it'll save you a call. Nothing against the company as it's their rights, and they called me back within 30min after leaving a voicemail.

Ivan is prompt and professional in manner but did not resolve the problem, he advised me what I could do and charged me for the service call; not helpful.

Shortly after my refrigerator door started banging into the adjacent wall, I found a half inch piece of black metal on the kitchen floor. I checked Angie's List for a repair person and found AA Best Appliance Repair. When I called, I described the problem and the piece of metal that I found underneath the door. Ivan was able to diagnose the problem over the telephone and I was able to give him the refrigerator model number. Because he did not stock this part, he called and obtained the price for me. He called me back within 30 minutes of my original call, quoted me the part price and the service charge price. I asked him to order the part. When he received the part, I was called. Because of my schedule, I did not return their message quickly but they called me again. I made an appointment for the day I would be home. Ivan called because he could arrive at my home earlier than originally planned. When Ivan and his helper arrived, they emptied the door shelves and removed the door from the refrigerator. I supplied a blanket for them to lay it on. They removed the remainder of the broken part, replaced it and then reinstalled the door. They offered to replace the food items that they emptied but I wanted to wash the shelves and did not take their offer. They worked quickly and efficiently. I used an Angie's List coupon from AA Best and the price came in below the original quote.

Ivan spent a good amount of time in my home, diagnosing what was wrong with my washer. Ivan inspected the machine, made several adjustments, and tested his results. Not satisfied, he went further, and begain a series of tests while removing components, to determine what was causing the issue. Eventually, he had almost the entire machine dismantled, and unfortunately came to the conclusion that it was not worth the cost of the repair, as the machine was older and could have subsequent breakages. He put it back together, and made minor adjustments to help me get by before i have to buy a new machine. This is the type of honesty and attention to detail (finding the root cause of the issue) that made his visit and the service fee worth it. I would call AA Best Appliance Service again (though I hope to not have to).

Showed up on time, fixed the problem for a reasonable price, and left. Everything went smoothly. Ivan was the technician.

Ivan came out to repair an oven that was not igniting properly. He arrived when expected, performed the work well, and even gave some advice on contacting our utility company about too much voltage coming into the house. Will use again.

***UPDATE II*** Ok, nice to see that you now admit your work. Obviously customer relations are not your strong suit, that's fine. You said to me DEFINITIVELY that those two parts were the problem, one of them didn't even make any logical sense. That was your problem, then you got attitude when I corrected you, and that's where it all started, and guess what..... in the end I was right. Do yourself a favor and don't assume all of your customers are idiots, I'm not, and I didn't appreciate being treated like one. I have fixed many appliances myself, and when I call in an expert for help, I expect them to act like one. Luckily I found one on my next try that actually worked WITH me to solve the problem. I give you this advice with hope that you change, for the benefit of your future customers. Everything stated below is exactly as it occurred, and Angie's List members deserve to hear the truth, good or bad, that's why this site exists, not as a marketing tool for you. Best of luck to you in the future, I hope you will learn to treat people with more respect and care. ***UPDATE*** This company obviously has no problem whatsoever telling a blatant lie. I reside in Oak Forest, however I had them out to work on my dryer at my building in Chicago!! My original experience was bad enough, but now to see this is simply amazing! There is no question that they know what I stated is EXACTLY what happened that day, but instead of apologizing, they chose to LIE to you. This is unacceptable, period. I am still stunned that they did this, let alone thought they could get away with it. **Original Response Below** I needed to have the dryer for my apartment building fixed once and for all. One week earlier I had received a call about the dryer not drying completely and I performed a repair. It helped, but oddly it was still not drying properly. At this point I didn't want to waste anymore time troubleshooting, and decided to check Angie's List and I chose AA Best Appliance Service due to their numerous good reviews. Unfortunately for me I did not encounter the service I desired. The tech that arrived to look at the dryer had been watching the dryer work (Properly by all visual accounts) for approximate five minutes. At that time I asked if he saw anything unusual. He immediately quipped that it was the high limit thermostat sensor, and that the coils (Which I had just replaced the week before) were bad. I proceeded to tell him that the problem I was encountering was that the clothes were not getting dry enough, not that they were getting too dry (If the high limit thermostat sensor is bad, the dryer won't turn off once it reaches the "high" temperature "limit" that the dryer should operate within). He continued to argue with me that those two issues were the problem, and asked if I wanted the work done or not.............!?! Mind you he performed no tests with any equipment at this point what-so-ever.... Obviously I declined the service... Luckily I found another company willing to come out the next day. After multiple tests and meticulous troubleshooting they found that the problem was a clogged gas valve nozzle which was restricting the gas enough to not allow for proper drying.... THAT'S IT!! That's all it was...... Not only was it NOT the high limit thermostat sensor causing my problem (Or the coils), the sensor that the AA Best Appliance Service tech pointed out to me as bad was NOT the high limit thermostat! I don't know if people just don't like to write bad reviews, or if people are just getting conned into more repairs than they need to solve their problem, but whatever the case is, I will never be using this company again.

We had a noisy washing machine during the spin cycle.The service man found a metal piece that had come loose from a clothing item that was making the noise, and he removed it.

My dryer in an apartment sized unit was not heating up all the way. The vent was blocked as no air was moving the louvers outdoors. It turned out there was a piece of insulation in the way of the vent. He removed the insulation.

I called AA Best Appliance and was able to get an appointment in under a week to address the dishwasher in my rental unit which had stopped draining. What I appreciate the most about the service is that they don't settle for "probably". As in, 'your problem is probably the pump.' Instead, they try different things and run different tests until they know the source of the problem. They spent the time to rule out any other issues, determined it was definitely the pump, and replaced it. As an added bonus, Ivan strikes a good balance between professionalism and also being a fun person to chat with.
