AA Best Appliance Service

I called AA Best Appliance on Monday afternoon and they were able to come by on Wednesday. They offered me a window that they could come over and they were really accomodating to my schedule, agreeing to meet me later in the day. I thought I had accidentally jammed a cat food lid in the garbage disposal but it turns out it was a metal shot glass that slipped down there. Ooops. At first it was not budging but the repair person stuck with it and finally dislodged it. He also worked on the blades and removed some additional metal debris that was prohibiting movement. He explained everything he was doing as he performed the work. He also showed me where the reset button was under the disposal so I would know for next time. The whole process took about 1/2 an hour and I could not have been happier. He even wiped up the floor after he walked on it because it was snowing! I would definitely use them again, although I'm hoping not to stick objects down my disposal again in the near future.

They did a good job. They were dependable and they got the job.

Like most of Ivan's Angie's List fans, we've had him come to repair most of our large appliances (stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer), and he's always been quick, efficient, reliable, knowledgeable, and affordable. We called him immediately when our oven failed to ignite. He gave us a choice of appointment times for the next day and arrived during the time window we had chosen. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a short in the oven ignition switch. He called the manufacturer about getting a new part, but unfortunately they no longer made the parts for our 20 year old gas range. He then tried to devise a fix, making no promises and cautioning us not to expect much. He was right--it didn't work. Then after spending nearly two hours dismantling the stove and putting it back together, he charged us only for the service call, not an hourly rate for the time he had spent. I found it really amazing that he was willing to do that, and I said so. He said his father had taught him to treat people fairly, and that's what he always did. We hate have problems with our appliances, but we really feel fortunate to have found Ivan.

My washing machine was making loud thumping noises during the spin cycle. AA Best came out, diagnosed the problem quickly, and was able to repair it on the spot. The service cost about what I'd expected, and he was in and out quickly. A good experience overall.

No complaints. I liked that they told me that my clothes washer belt did NOT have to be replaced yet (dryer did), instead of trying to sell me on that as well.

Ivan diagnosed the water surging from inside my fridge, stopped the water and vacuumed out behind the fridge.

This company is amazing. Professional, polite, affordable and d*** good. This is the second time I've used them, the first being for a refrigerator. As long as AA is this top notch, they've got my business for a lifetime.

My Frigidaire oven was not working. It needed an ignitor. The technician diagnosed and fixed it within about 10-15 minutes.

Ivan came out a bit late, but when he arrived, he was professional and thorough as always. We've used this service about 4 times over the last 6-7 years, and each time it has been a pleasure. Prices seem fair, and Ivan is patient and friendly. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Every time they have come out, they have quickly assessed and quickly fixed our issues, and they stay fixed. Over the years, they have fixed our refrigerators, stoves, ovens and dishwashers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Washing machine wasn't working and was making a horrible noise. They came out the same day we called. Two guys came and had to take the whole thing apart in order to replace a belt. It was a stacked washer with the dryer on top, and they didn't have to take the dryer off. They did the job in a couple of hours. They had the part in the truck and there was no hassle at all. Much better than a prior experience I had with Northtown. I would definitely use them again

van strikes again! He has kept my washing machine going well past the warranty. He arrived on time had the replacement valve with him and the machine was fixed in less than an hour. Hats off to AA Best Appliance!!!

Scheduled an appointment on Saturday for them to come out on Monday. They showed up on time and gave me an estimate on the spot and was able to fix it right away after I agreed to price. I think the price was good, but I probably would have got a better price if I shopped it around more. The only complaint is that their website stated that they work on Saturday and Sunday, but they only do service during the week.

This company was very professional, they spent time on this and were able to figure out what was wrong with my dishwasher. He was a really nice.

I called AA Best as I had in the past and was told they would no loner service me. I said they had provided service to me in the past, but they said they no longer did. I felt they were somewhat rude, but that may have just been a result of being denied service.

The necessary part came in quickly and the dishwasher was fixed within a week. They were great in following up to coordinate the return visit and did not charge me for an additional service call. Just for the initial service call + the cost of the repair. The only inconvenience was that they could not process a credit card for payment. They can only take cash or check. I had to have my handyman pay them and reimburse him. They often take payment from tenants with the idea that they then take the cost of the repair out of the next months rent. Overall, the service was top notch and I would definitely recommend them to anyone local.

Our technician was Ivan, and he was able to come within a day of calling to schedule the service. When fixing our dryer, he guessed the reason for the short in the wiring was due to a power surge in our neighborhood. Three months later, we had the exact same problem- a short in our wiring. Ivan came out to fix the dryer again, and this time, took a little time to inspect how the dryer vent was installed. He discovered an error in how the vent was installed which was causing the dryer to work harder than necessary, and if not remedied, would cause the same problem to keep happening. He fixed the wiring short again, free of charge, and we are really grateful he took the extra time to look into why the dryer kept shorting out without charging us again! All in all, he has been a great help to us, and we would definitely use him and AA Best in the future!

Ivan was very professional and very friendly. He made sure I saw the work being done to try to repair the motor, that I understood why he reached the conclusions that he reached, and that I was comfortable with the replacement options. He also gave me advice on using our machine to minimize wear and tear (it's a low-end washer that we currently share with tenants in our two-flat). I will absolutely use AA Best Appliance Service in the future.

The job was great. Ivan was the representative and he was terrific. He not only fixed the problem at the price that was agreed upon but he cleaned out the vents and repaired something else that was blocking the air flow. He gave me good advice on maintaining the dryer. He really went above and beyond.

They schedule the appointment within a few days, come on time and fix the problem.

This was a bit embarrassing for my wife and me. We didn't remember, but we had Ivan out for the same problem a few years ago. He did remember. There was no problem with our refrigerator. The problem was that the temperature controls for the refrigerator and freezer are completely counterintuitive. So, for the second time, Ivan taught us how to use our appliance. His time was definitely worth the $89. He was very sympathetic.

Overall, there were no issues and I would call on them again.

Receptionist returned my call within a few hours. She was helpful and clear and up front about service call fee. Serviceman arrived within the predetermined time window..diagnosed the problem..replaced the part and was finished within 30 minutes. He also offered advice on using the refrigerator settings. Very professional.

The problem was solved and fridge is working fine.
