Excellent. 5 Star was very professional, accommodating, very fair pricing and did great work. Gibran called and came by the same day. Two days later the job was done. Highly recommended.

I called three or four concrete companies that advertised 'no job too big or small' and none called me back...except Gibran from Five Star. Our job was pretty small: remove a roughly 6x9' wooden deck and a very cracked old concrete patio about 12x15', replace both with new concrete. Gibran was prompt and responsive in coming to look at the job and providing me with a quote. I didn't have another bid to compare, but looking online, Gibran's price was very reasonable. Concrete work is weather-dependent so it took some days to find the right time when there was no rain, and I could be at the property. Once we settled on a date, his guys were there promptly and got to work. Gibran started with us, left for another site, came back to check, and grabbed a wheelbarrow himself when needed. He was available by phone for any questions I had, but his two guys (Sao and Geraldo) had it all under control. I was impressed at how quickly and smoothly it went, but of course they do this every day. The new pads match the slope of the existing sidewalks perfectly. The pads have now gone through the winter and still look great. We were very satisfied with the job. We'll certainly call Gibran for any future work.

It pains me to write a bad review - this is not a part of how I'm built. We had 5 Star Concrete pour concrete over a year ago; for our walkway, stairs and parking area. A year later everything turned to complete rubble. We have given 5 Star concrete multiple chances to rectify or address the problems that we had with their work. Their paperwork states that they have a 3 year warranty, but that was absolutely worthless. They completely blew us off after asking over 4 times to correspond back with us and we received nothing. So, to re-cap, sub-par work. Their word and contract is not their bond. I would recommend you try another provider who is trustworthy. I'll try to post pictures of their work following this review.

The end result was very good. Looks good and should be fully functional to drain accumulating water at bottom of outside stairs if necessary.

All work was done on schedule and professional.

5 Star Concrete and Construction was scheduled to come to our home Sunday, July 28, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. for a quote. My husband and I canceled our afternoon plans to make the scheduled appointment. I texted to confirm never received a reply. So I called and he states that he forgot about our appointment and he was tied up doing something at his home. Five Star asked if they could come the following morning. Needless to say, we're were pretty unhappy that not only did he not returned the text but he would not have even called. The unprofessionalism gave us an unsettled feeling about this company so my husband and I decided not to hire them.

Everything went well! Gibran was very responsive to my communications and requests and he scheduled and completed the work right away. He has a great hard working crew!

Great work good price would hire again

Work at the beginning appeared to be OK, there were a couple of misunderstandings related to the need for the concrete to be pitched but this was ultimately resulted. Worked "looked" good until after the first winter; small cracks in the concrete appeared with minor spalling (top layer of concrete began to peel off). I contacted the owner and he said "we will repair it". Almost 9 months later, after the next winter, ~50% of the concrete is spalling and looks very bag with chips of concrete washing off into the grass. I contacted the owner and told him he needs to fix this otherwise I would go to the better business bureau and social media if it were not fixed. He took this as "threats" before he realized this was the second time I contacted him. The owner also asked if I had sealed the concrete. If the concrete required sealing, he should have mentioned it or charged me for it. I have been in our house for 20 years and the existing and previous concrete never had this issue. After a little back and forth is stated he would be back on the weekend to make repairs. He said he does about 200 sidewalks a year and he has this problem with about 3 per year. The owner said it was not fair he would need to pay for the concrete. I told him it was not my problem and it was his. I took another step further and contacted the concrete supplier to let them know about the issue with the concrete and connected the owner of 5 Star Concrete and asked to have this resolved. Approximately 2 weeks and no response. If you want to roll the dice with percentages, you have a 1.5% chance you will need to replace the concrete. Not a bad guy, but he doesn't want to take responsibility for his work and I really did not want to have to provide a bad review. This is the number one reason I avoid using contractors when possible

I was very pleased with the outcome. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. I was also very happy with the price I paid. Other companies came to my property and quoted me almost double of what I paid. Gibran knows his stuff. I have future projects waiting for him.

I would recommend 5 Star Concrete & Construction for remodeling services. My project required a full basement remodel. Interior work included: demolition, excavation, waterproofing with drain tile systems, foundation repair, plumbing with sump pump systems, heating/cooling system, water heater system, electrical, full bathroom and kitchen installation, framing and insulation, drywall, and installation of windows and doors. Exterior work included: concrete sidewalks, gutters, privacy fencing, siding, windows and doors. I had three different estimates and 5 Star Concrete & Construction competed with pricing. 5 Star Concrete & Construction represented professionalism from the very start. I appreciated Gibran's explanation and knowledge in describing the multiple projects we had into a smooth experience. 5 Star Concrete & Construction provided a written statement of work including timelines and optional work. Communication is very important to me and 5 Star Concrete & Construction exceeded this from start to finish providing answers to all my inquiries and questions with the multiple project stages. 5 Star Concrete & Construction's crew displayed extreme professionalism daily: showing up on time, communicating very well, and were very diligent in cleaning up after their work. Everything looks fantastic! I am extremely satisfied with 5 Star Concrete & Construction's job well done. I will use them again for my next project and certainly recommend them.

Excellent 5 star was fast and reliable they went all out

Terrible. They were unprofessional. The owner was not even on site to supervise. The staff were not properly skilled. Threw waste on my neighbor's property in the back. Splashed my garage door with the cement which they didn't clean. When I informed them, the owner comes and pressure wash the garage door and it remove the paint. Now the door has to be completely stripped and repainted. Had two different contractors evaluate and both indicated that it looked like a beginner's job. contractors asked how I got them and I said Angie's List. The expansion joints need to be reworked as they splashed cement over the joints They are messy. He the nerve to call his company 5 Star Concrete. Please check to see if this company is even Licensed. How do I trust Angie's List again????

The scope of the project did not require this company. Instead of telling me I needed to replace the entire floor he recommended a flooring company to complete the work....

The guy in the phone was very rude and unprofessional.

They are excellent. They answered all my questions and were very respectful. They even went out of their way to help me get into my house. The concrete was not dry yet and they stepped into it so they could get the door open for me. They then had to redo that part of the concrete and they did not charge me or complain about it. I am very pleased with their professionalism and I would highly recommend them.

Poured cement , stamped design looks great

5-Star Concrete did an excellent job executing my vision of a curved shaped patio. I gave them a sketch and they made it work. They also worked with the contractor that is replacing our deck to make sure it had a proper anchor. Because their pricing was significantly less than the other quotes, we were able to replace the entire length of sidewalk from the parkway to the alley and the steps leading down to our basement door. We’re so happy with the results and would highly recommend them!

Gibran and his crew were the hardest working crew I've ever seen. They arrived 15 minutes before scheduled each day (3 in total) and worked hard with very few breaks. They were neat and tidied up the site as they went and at the end of each day. I had a few things that had to be brought from the street to the house and the garage and they voluntarily helped me carry them through the war zone that was the demo area of the driveway. They all clearly care about the work they are doing and take pride in doing it. Communication skills are very high. I did have other contractors bid on the work and although their pricing was competitive, only Gibran (5 Star's owner) suggested adding drains to our catch basin to reduce the potential of standing water near our foundation. The existing driveway was approximately 100 years old. The neighbor's lot line is the edge of our driveway, so Gilbran suggested we do his walkway as well, since it would not look good o have the new and century old concrete side by side. The crew took great care to make sure that these two old homes were not damaged during the entire process. Gilbran is a good family man. We shared photos of our daughters and talked about his ambitions. He is the kind of person you know who takes his job and community seriously. He is a good salesman and delivers what he promises.

Not well. Quoted me a price of 2900.00, mentioned to him I had other bids and he agreed to do the work for 2600.00. Received a text message from him at 10PM the night before, saying he's not showing up at 8am to do the work because he didn't think he'd make enough money on the job. Only reason he was selected was his willingness to do it so quickly. I wouldn't recommend him!

5 Star team did a quick and clean job. The guys are very professional and hard workers. Gibran and his team know how to work hard. I love how the product turned out

5-Star Concrete was exceptional in all aspects of the business. They were there on time everyday, as well as working a 1/2 day on a holiday to ensure our project was completed by the date we were provided. I highly recommend them for any concrete work as they are fair in pricing and great to work with!
