This was an excellent experience. The contractor re-attached the gutter and made sure that it was secure. He cleaned up after finishing everything.

Very difficult to arrange a time to do the job, weather was one factor but unresponsiveness was the major problem. Once they got here they did a fabulous job. Since the quality of their work was superior, we would use them again. Poor customer service is our only complaint.

So far the providor has done nothing. I've called and left messages on a voice mail to set up a time to have the service performed, and left my availability. Received a return voicemail some days later stating someone was in the area within 45 minutes if I could make it. I could not. Called back. Got voicemail again. Have not received any contact since. It's been over a month since I purchased the service through Angies list and I feel I've been riped off.

My first reaction was not favorable since they put me on the schedule without informing me. When I bought the deal I said there were 3 days that I was available. That being said you should probably contact me before you schedule me to confirm. Also I was the one to contact them and find out when they were going to be able to come out. Later on there was also a couple of phone call issues. The work they provided was great in the sense that we had hail damage and was completely unaware of it. They told us where and how much damage and that we needed to contact our insurance company. I very much appreciated having that knowledge. They cleaned the gutters well (I'm assuming.) I didn't go up on my roof to inspect! But we have found at least one clogged drain after they left that we cleaned out ourselves. My husband thought they were courteous and knowledgeable and we would hire them again.

Very nice service provider! Punctual, professional and performed as expected with no issues. As an added bonus, while he cleaned the gutters he performed a roof inspection. These guys also cleaned up better than any gutter cleaners I have used in the past.

D.S Scurry Construction arrived on time and did a great job for us. They are professional and courteous and take pride in doing a good job. We recommend them to anyone for general contracting services.

Initially, we had some difficulty in finding a time that would work for both parties; however, once a date was agreed upon, it was worth the wait. Dan and his crew were extremely professional in their work. Previously, I've hired multiple parties to come and do work on the house, but D&S Scurry Construction was the most professional of them all. They possessed close attention to detail, were precise in their work, and extremely thorough with their clean up. Heck, in my opinion they went above and beyond my expectations (hosing off my a/c unit, assessing the siding and shutters, etc.). Will definitely use their devices in the future! A pleasure doing business with! Thank you, again, Chyrl and Dan!

Showed up, cleaned the gutters, cleaned up all debris.

At first it did not go well. Then owner came back himself and redid the work. The work now is perfect.

Were able to complete repairs immediately after quote. Answered multiple questions honestly saving us money on possible future purchases by steering us away from unnecessary items. We would use these guys again!

The office at D&S didn't seem like they wanted to schedule appointments, saying things like: "he'll be out Tuesday or Wednesday..." I had vacation time during the week of the estimate so this wasn't such a bother, and had to request they not do the job on certain days when they wouldn't fix a firm install date. However, this might not be normal behavior, as the weather was erratic and it was at the beginning of the season. Otherwise, the job went great. Dan gave great advise, and his guttering guy was incredibly professional.

The company patched my roof a couple of times and eventually replaced the entire roof in 2006. To secure the roofing contract they agreed to fix a section of siding damaged by wind so that it would stay up. Periodic high winds required them to come back a few times over the years. Always I would have to call multiple times, but since it was what I considered warranty work with no profit for them I didn't complain. In their defense they didn't put the siding up initially, however, they did promise to secure it. This last time they stated it was too cold to put up siding. When the weather changed they were too busy to stop by. I had to repeatedly call. Eventually, they sent someone who was upset that the siding was no longer useable. He stated that this would be the last time they would fix it. I stated I would pay for the new siding, however, they had made a promise. I was told the siding would cost around $400. He said that payment wasn't required, but it would be the last time. I stated I wanted to be fair and it was up to them to bill me. Eventually I had to call again to get action. This time they left a written quote of $775. After a prolonged delay I linked to Home Advisors to see if there was another company who was more responsive. I found one. The company not only replaced the siding within 24 hours, their leg work found matching siding.

I hired a roofing contractor from Missouri to install a new roof on my home after the April 2012 hailstorm. Several months after the roof was installed I noticed that the shingles were sagging into the gutters, which looked really bad. I contacted the contractor from Missouri that installed my roof and he gave me the runaround and said it was supposed to be like that. I decided to get a second opinion and that is when I called D & S Scurry Construction. The employee from D & S that inspected my roof was very professional and honest with me. The shingles were extended way to far at the roof edge. A few days later two employees from D & S Scurry Construction stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and were able to install the drip edge without having to remove any shingles. My roofline looks 100% better now and I no longer have shingles sagging into the gutters. I highly recommend D & S Scurry Construction.

Overall I am very pleased with the work. Only improvement I would recommend is if they cannot make it, to please call so the customer so they are not waiting on their arrival. They do awesome work and were also helpful in recommending an electrician who, in turn, did and outstanding job as well. Will be contacting again for future work.

They were very punctual and friendly. It took 1 1/2 days for the roofing and another 1/2 day for the guttering. We were very pleased.

Very flexible, extensive drip line damage due to incorrectly installed roofing from the previous roofer necessitated the replacement of many deck panels. Materials were ordered and installed in minimal time. The one day job extended a half day to compensate for the unforeseen repairs. Cleanup was done well. Office personnel were polite and responsive. I would definitely recommend / call this company again if needed. The only down side was trying to determine who was in charge of the crew during work.

They were busy with great hail damage in the area & our roofs were not leaking. Would have liked the repair sooner, but understood that there were people with greater need. Once they got there, they worked hard until the jobs were complete. The supervisor walked us through the completed work & asked numerous times if everything was to our satisfaction. It all looked better than original. AND they completed all the work with the cost being much under the insurance estimate - my insurance company was in disbelief & I saved my deductable.

Their quoted price was about $8,400 and I might consider using them again in the future.

D & S Scurry Construction was excellent to deal with. They were extremely helpful and accommodating especially when the insurance company required additional information. I really cannot say enough good things about the company and the staff. I typically won't write reviews but, I feel that it's important to share the praise of a good company when they earn it.

Took them quite a while to get out because of the April 28, 2012 hail storm that pounded our area with baseball-sized hail. They were able to come late in the afternoon which was convenient since both my wife and I work. Their estimate was thorough and they worked with us on different siding and roofing types, however, they were slightly higher than a competitor we went with and we really wanted Certainteed shingles and siding, but did not see them as a certified installer on the manufacturer's website. The employees were very courteous, but they tended to deride their competitor's as a "all Mexicans" which didn't seem very professional. All-in-all, this company was our 2nd choice and we wouldn't hesitate to contact them again for work.

They experience was good, but we did not use them. We chose another provider with a more competitive cost.

We were very pleased with the work performed. It was completed same day and the site was clean/picked up. Our only complaint is that the trim around the garage door later warped in the heat, but only needed extra nails in order to secure and resolve issue. We would use this contractor again for exterior work, and recommend to others.
