Water Heater was leaking pretty bad, and we needed prompt attention. We called them on Thursday evening and a representative was here Friday morning. Owner was called out for a tricky, complicated tear out & install due to tight space & Water/Gas lines had to be re-routed. Man was sent out Friday afternoon to cap off water supply to Heater so we would have water to rest of house until install. Saturday was full on their schedule, so Mr. Culler showed up Sunday morning to complete install. He & the other Service Tech. were very pleasant, efficient & professional. We are very pleased with the overall experience of rectifying the issue.

Description of Work: Originaly brought them in to look at a busted drain pipe from our kitchen. Was hoping just to fix it. But after Steve Culler looked at it he called me at work explained why it could not be fix and had to be replaced. He was unable to complete the job on that day so he just patched it to get me by a couple of days until he returned. He did such a good job on the drain I had him also replace all of the drain plumbing in both my bathroom. He even fixed a faulty sewer pipe leading front the house.

Shopper Beware Dennis showed up at my house 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment I made two days prior. Upon opening the door to greet him, he said, "What's up?". Very unprofessional to greet a prospective new customer with such an informal greeting. I was already on my guard and expected a high quote for the work to be done, but never imagined it would be out of the universe. My request was to remove and install a new hot water heater in the exact same spot along with another quote for moving it approximately 5 ft away. Upon showing him my unit, in no less than 2 minutes of looking at it, he told me I could get the exact same model installed for over $1100. Bear in mind, I can purchase the water heater online, with a new expansion tank, along with free delivery for under $530. That would mean over $500 in labor for nearly an hour's worth of work because it would already be drained by the time he arrived to do the work. I then asked him for an estimate to move the water heater to another location about 5 feet away. That price for parts and labor was over $900. When asked, he said it would be about $150 in parts. Again, why $750 in labor costs? He said it would take 5 or 6 hours to complete. I had a hard time believing that since the work only required about 30 feet of new copper to be installed and about 15 feet of black iron to be installed. It was during this time, he informed me his labor rate is $135.00 per hour. I jokingly made the comment that I was in the wrong line of work. He responded sarcastically that he loves it when guys like me say that. He then went on to "school" me on the costs of running a business and all the things he has to pay for. I told him I understood and wasn't knocking him, just that I wasn't expecting such a high amount for his labor rate. Next, I requested the quote for simply replacing my existing water heater in its current location. He gave me an amount of around $450. Again, I asked him why the high amount considering I would have it drained by the time he got there (saving an hour of work) and all he would have to do is unhook the copper connections, move it out of the way, and hook up connections to new water heater -- no more than an hour's worth of work for a plumber with supposedly 20+ years in the business. At this time, he started to tell me that I would be paying for his trip out to my house and before he could continue, I interrupted and said that no, I would only pay him for his time once he arrived on-site and began the work. He then asked me what was he supposed to do to cover his time and costs of driving to my house. I told him that was the cost of doing business. With that he said, "OK Buddy, we're done here" and proceeded to walk past me and toward the front door of my house. I asked, "Seriously", and he said "yes" and continued walking away from me. I proceeded to escort him out of my house and then very noticeably slammed the door behind him. I have never been so rudely treated by a service professional in my own house in my entire life! Dennis' actions, behavior, unprofessionalism, and rudeness left me in complete shock. For someone who received such high praise on Angie's List along with comments about charging "fair" prices for work, I guess I didn't meet that person today. My recommendation, stay as far away from Dennis as you can. My personal belief is you will not be valued as a paying customer and you will pay way more than you should.
Description of Work: Requested Dennis Culler come out and provide an estimate to replace a hot water heater as well as relocate a hot water heater. The visit was cut very short (by Dennis) and the work was never performed. I received a verbal estimate, but not a written one.
It went very well. Totally on time, very meticulous with his work, arrived on time and communicated quite well. Answers all questions with authority. Also has very nice equipment to use for diagnosing problems with issues. I had to call this plumber on a weekend when all of my sewer issues started... This plumber was quick and very fair with estimates.. I will totally use him in the near future.. and highly recommend his services..
Description of Work: Installed outside clean out for sewer line leading to house. Cable and camera inspect of sewer lines Inspected crawl space, found leaky pipes that had been leaking for awhile. Cut sections of cast iron stack and repair the pipes.. Repair wall and Paint

I called and left a message for a quote to unclog our kitchen sink on Saturday after 5 pm, expecting a call on Monday. Got a call Sunday afternoon and Dennis came out that afternoon and took care of the problem. While he was here, we asked him about the line from our water softener that we no longer need and he capped off that as well. No "emergency" charges for "Sunday work".. did a great job and very reasonable price! Even gave us a discount.
Description of Work: Unclogged our drainage line in the kitchen and capped off discharge for water softener.
