Upon calling to set up appointment company was very thorough describing exactly the service performed and price quote. A reminder call the day prior giving a short time slot. Another call when workers were on their way. Quality service throughout!

I received a phone call about 2 days before the appointment to confirm. They were on time and started work right away after discussing my problem. Within 30 minutes, all vents were cleaned and secured. Very nice workers.

It was a good experience. The style I ordered took awhile to come in, but I was warned that might be the case. Debbie at the office kept me informed of the delay by periodically calling me. They were willing to work around my work schedule in terms of the installation.

I contacted the company by e-mail and Debbie responded right away both by phone and e-mail with information on pricing, what would be done during the cleaning, and availability. After getting some more information about my fireplace she set up an appointment for 2 weeks later. She gave me a 4-hour time frame and offered to have the technician call me an hour before the workers were to come. I got a reminder phone call at home the day before the appointment and the phone call an hour before. Every conversation was pleasant and professional. Two very professional and pleasant workers, Shawn and Chuck, arrived right on time, explained what was going to happen, and gave me some tips on fireplace safety. Cloths were laid down to protect my floor and rug and everything was very clean when they were done about an hour later. I had my dryer vent cleaned the same day. I was very pleased and will call them again. This is a family owned company in business for a number of years; they also give a discount for Angie's List and are big fans of it.

I had this done at the same time as chimney cleaning. I contacted the company by phone and e-mail using the address I found at www.kbchimney.com. I received an immediate response from Debbie in the office. I set up an appointment to clean the dryer vent at the same time as the chimney cleaning. It saved me some money to combine the appointments. There is a discount for combining air duct cleaning with other appointments, also. We initially called Kingsborough to clean our two fireplaces. We had just moved into a house and the fireplaces were filthy. While cleaning, the technician noticed a large gap in the living room fireplace that spanned the lintel. This was a potential fire hazard and we would not be able to use the fireplace until it was repaired. They came back within the week to repair the gap. The fireplace has worked well ever since.

Shawn & Michael called to let me know they were running a bit late & were great at answering my questions. Even showed me the dirt they pulled from the ducts. Very careful, cheerful & thorough.

Shawn arrived on time for an estimate. He was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and didn't try to sell me more than I needed. Shawn installed the stainless steel liner in about two hours and didn't leave a mess. A very professional job. The mason came to install the precast crown less than a week after the liner. His work was superior.

We hired Kingsborough to do a chimney inspection and cleaning (if necessary). We hired them based on the positive reviews here, and particularly the number of people who commented that they were honest about letting you know when a cleaning wasn't necessary. That turned out to be the case for us, too. I really appreciate honest service providers like Kingsborough and will certainly use them again for periodic chimney inspections and cleanings.

This went well, however, the price seemed a little high for work that was completed in 25 minutes. They added a mesh screen only. Inspection took 5 minutes. Mesh addition took approx. 20 min.

Arrived at time scheduled. Completed work in a timely & professional manner. Honest about what work needed to be done ex-inspected dryer vent found it to be ok, so no work needed.

The service man (Shawn) was appropriately dressed & was courteous at all times, Shawn work of efficiently & cleaned up after himself. I feel the company did a very good job and I was pleasantly surprised at how little this process disturbed our day. Yes, we will use them again.

We have 2 fireplaces and wanted to get both cleaned and ready for this winter. Shawn looked at both fireplaces and advised the second fireplace didn't need cleaning. I appreciate his honesty! He found some cracks on the chimney when he got up to the roof and I authorized him to fix them at an additional cost. Overall, Shawn was very professional and did an excellent job!

The crew was great. They came early, were very clean about the house & did a great job. There was no mess left and they gave suggestions as needed, i.e. turn the filters, etc. I was very pleased with the work done.

Overall they did a nice job. They were very friendly and professional and I was very pleased. There were little children in the house, so if they were a little more attentive to safety in that situation they would have been superb, but overall they were great!

Communication with the company was clear. I had requested a "warning" call when the technician was on his way & got it. He showed up on time, was friendly, efficient & offered some suggestions based on some observations.

Only a part of the price was for the chimney sweep. We had some additional services as well. They are professional and have good quality control. It is my understanding that sometimes these jobs can cause a mess in the house. They went out of their way to make sure they were clean. I would recommend them to others.

Went well. The tuckpointer came out within a week of the estimate and completed the job. Price seemed high, but may have been because this was a small job. Have used Kingsborough before and they do good work.
