Hired for fireplace sweeping ($179) and dryer vent cleaning ($179). They noted that the chimney chase cover was sagging and holding water. Gave us a quote ($1,179) to replace the chase cover, which was completed a couple of weeks later. We are completely satisfied with the experience and would recommend this company.

cleaning was fine and price reasonable, told me I needed $2400 in work done to reline chimney and put in rain caps, i am still thinking on that

They are great. I called them in for a dryer vent that leads to my dryer. They have been out here twice. They are so professional, so nice. There is a vent that goes from your dryer to the outside. He said, this vent you are using plastic and you shouldn't really do that. It is very flammable, blah, blah, blah. He went in and replaced that for me. He did everything. He didn't ask me questions, just did everything. He did something else, I can't remember, it wasn't even his expertise but helped me anyway. He is just a nice guy. They are going to come out every 6 months to clean my vents out.

I spent the night in our home we had just purchased and I am very allergic to cats and dogs. After having a bad asthma attack I had to leave the home with out my family. The next day kingsbourgh sent one of their employees out and cleaned the entire vent system with a gas powered vacuum and chemicals. I was able to sleep the next night with no problems. P.S. The home was completely painted and carpeted before we moved in. Just the vents. I own All Wildlife Animal Eviction and have always referred kingsbourgh with ease knowing its done right. Thanks

Overall good work at a fair price. They gave advice about what we can do to repair our aging chimney (old greystone building).

Very good. Shawn shared the information of the work he would do and also noted there was duct tape on the vent which should never be used because of the fibers. He replace the duct tape with the correct tape. He was very thorough and checked the entire unit before beginning to remove the lint. He communicated with me throughout the process.

We are remodeling our basement and wanted the fireplace taken out. We never used it and wanted the extra space more. I contacted kingsborough since we had used them to clean and inspect both of our fireplaces when we bought the house almost 2 years ago. I emailed them on a Wednesday, they came out to inspect on Friday and the work was done by 10am Monday. They are quick and efficient and love the quick response via email. I will continue to use them for my upstairs fireplace and would recommend their services in a heartbeat!

Experience was really good. The gentleman were super friendly and very informative regarding what they are doing. They also advised of potential issues to watch out for down the road. The price was a bit higher than similar providers but their service was far better.

I really like Kingsborough. Shaun did a great job of communicating about the work and they did everything that they said they would do in the time that was promised. The work seems of excellent quality. I know that I could have gotten the brickwork done for as much as 15% cheaper, but I had worked with Kingsborough before and trusted that Shaun would see the project through and that anyone that worked for Kingsborough could be trusted to do a quality job.

Service was quick & efficient. Found and removed dead squirrel that was casuing fly infestation in my home. Fantastic service!!

These guys are fantastic. I wish every home services company operated the way they do. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, clean, and communicates well with their customers. We have used them for a few years now to do annual cleaning and servicing of our pre-fab fireplace and chimney. Pretty straightforward stuff but work that I would never do on my own. They always call to confirm the day before and then call in advance of arriving. I appreciate this part as much as them doing a good job on the cleaning. They are also good at discussing potential issues and explaining how certain parts might wear out and what the cost/effort might be to address them when the time comes. There's never any pressure to do work that isn't yet needed.

The service is great and prices are reasonable. The technician is very clean and punctual. They have always given me great service for over 20 years. My neighbors use them as well and are just as satisfied.

We hired Kingsborough to sweep our chimney and provide an estimate for fixing the flues on our two fireplaces. After the putative "cleaning", we got the sales pitch: their "recommendation" was to tear down our chimneys and rebuild them. They said they would provide us a detailed estimate, but said it would be in the $7,000 range. I thought that was pretty high, but was stunned to get a written quote for almost $11,000. Needless to say, we called other contractors for add'l estimates. Both places said, our problem could be fixed without tearing down and rebuilding the chimneys. The final insult came when the contractor we hired said our chimney still needed to be cleaned. We told him it had been cleaned just a few weeks ago. Imagine our surprise when they brought in their sweeping equipment and removed a huge amount of soot and debris from our chimneys. I don't know how this outfit has managed to get so many good reviews, but our experience was totally unsatisfactory.

Kingsborough and Sean were great. Efficient, professional and good value. Would use them again in a heart-beat.

Service call went well. Shawn did initial consultation. He came out about a month later to do all the work. about 3 hours total. He was very helpful in identifying the problem and offering possible solutions. We needed repair and service on our prefab fireplace in our condo, after damages from a fire in the tenant's unit below ours. There were a couple of holes chunked out from the fire dept kicking it in. This is from where he did the initial consult- taking pictures and notes. He noted there were still some variables we wouldnt know until the drywall was fully opened up. The repairs were completed a month later, with very little exterior demolition. (thus saving us some drywall work) He installed fire stops to code around the ventilation pipes. He gave us reccomendations about further work to be done. And we had a carpenter come in afterwards to finish the insulation installation and drywall repair. The 2 contractors discussed the issues briefly, helping in the hand-off of work. Overall: very happy with the service performed.
