I have a Thermodor line of appliances and Appliance Marshall was able to schedule a service for me at a reasonable time frame. Marshall was very professional and was able to fix my thermodor range blower without no problem. Before I had called him I had contacted Thermodor customer service and their service rate was very high. Marshall was able to fix my problem and also provided suggestion/tips on some of the functionality of my Thermodor products that I did not know about . I would highly suggest to use them if you have a high end appliances
Description of Work: My Thermodor range fan stopped working and need someone to check on the blower. The service technician was able to open the parts and fixed the issue with no problem

The process went smoothly from the first call to the completed service.
Description of Work: We moved into a new house and wouldn't you know it, all the appliances started breaking. I called Appliance Marshall and am glad I did. He fixed what he could at a good price and gave me good advice about appliances that weren't worth saving. For example, he said that the stove was like the "Sherman Tank of stoves." It could be repaired and maintained indefinitely because of its type of design and parts. On the flip side, he said that my fridge was a losing battle. He offered to do a temporary fix, but was clear that a new fridge would be needed in the near future. I passed on the quick fix. I really appreciated his honesty. I know it cost him money to be that honest, but that's also why he'll be my first call when something else goes wrong.

Appliance Master was recommended to us by Lakeland Appliance (who had done a great job of diagnosing and fixing our washer and dryer last year.) We were having ongoing problems with a) our stove hood lights not working, and b) our dishwasher, which has been falling out of its built-in space despite being "fixed" five times prior. Chris at Appliance Marshall answered the phone on my first call, and scheduled an appointment promptly, getting in contact the morning of the appointment day to discuss specific times of arrival. Marshall arrived when promised and was smart, friendly and professional. He rapidly diagnosed both of the problems we had originally called about, and fixed what he could, and made plans to obtain parts for the remaining problems. We also appreciated that he also took the initiative to notice, diagnose and propose solutions for several other lingering appliance problems, including a recall on our stove that we had not heard about. He was able to completely secure the dishwasher into place, and gave us a quick lesson on checking and cleaning the filter, and the appliances proper settings for usage under different conditions and with different detergents. He replaced the filter (which was shot), and ran it on a cycle with a special cleaning solution which improved its performance incredibly. He also pointed out that a cleaning product I'd purchased directly from a prior repair person could actually hurt my specific dishwasher and explained exactly why. The repairs were quick, thorough and clearly explained. We are looking forward to getting everything completely fixed when the appropriate parts arrive, and based on our experience so far can highly recommend this company to others. It is a pleasure to deal with a smart and friendly individual who really knows their stuff.
Description of Work: Dishwasher secured into its proper place. Filter checked and changed. Dishwasher completely cleaned. Helpful instruction given on proper care and usage. Stove hood examined, and issue with transformer for low-voltage lights quickly discovered. Great explanations of problem. Part ordered. Problem with noisy fan noticed and diagnosed. Also, ongoing issues with stove hinges and low-performance diagnosed and explained.

Our 6 year old Bosch dishwasher suddenly stopped working as if the power were shut off. If you Google search Bosch dishwasher, you will see that there are a number of product recalls for electrical problems. However, our model was not one of the recall models. Marshall found the problem (electrical short) and had it corrected in 15 minutes. He was also very polite, prompt (showed up on time) and professional. By talking to him, you could tell that he knew his business of large appliance repair. He also fixed our ice maker (U-Line under cabinet refrigerator) on the same visit. Again, his knowledge of knowing where to look first had the problem fixed and tested within 30 minutes (total time of fixing, testing and clean up).

I have a KitchenAid microwave that had a bad touch screen display. I researched it, and found a replacement online that I attempted to fix on my own. Actually I got really close ! The display was replaced fine, but when I hooked it up again, there were some strange beeps, and errors that popped up. First I called, and they gave me some great pointers on the phone, and said to call back if I had issues. The advice was great, but still had issues. I called back, and they were able to send Marshall out in the next 2 days. I explained the situation, and quickly he was able to tell me what was wrong (wire in the wrong spot). Seriously, I almost did it on my own .... but had no problem for paying the service call (with Angie's List 10% discount) to fix the small issue and make sure it was done right. Will be calling these guys for all appliance repair issues in the future. They are awesome.

The serviceman ("Marshall" himself) was well-informed, very familiar with the product, and demonstrated skill and expertise. The parts were not cheap (not his fault), but his service fee was fair.

Called and left message Tuesday after business hours. Call was returned Wednesday morning (not too early, thank you), and he was able to schedule us for a service call on Thursday, and also advised that we would probably need to offload bottom half of freezer based on best guess diagnosis of problem (which turned out to be correct and we were able to be prepared with coolers for the food). He called Thursday morning as promised to indicate the two-hour window when he expected to arrive that day. He arrived during the promised period, and completed the repair in a couple of hours. Very professional and personable; explained the problem with the failed part (defrost thermostat) and how/why it caused the inability to maintain temperature. Freezer is now performing normally.
Description of Work: Our freezer (2 year old upright Frigidaire, out of warranty) was not maintaining sufficiently cold temperature. Diagnosis and repair of problem was needed.

I don’t remember the amount I spent but I know it was not expensive. They came out promptly to help to fix the problem with our oven. He fixed it right there and then. They were very efficient. They replaced something and it’s been working ever since. I’m completely satisfied with their work. They were very nice and very kind. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

It was a good experience. He helped us over the phone to avoid a service call. We wanted him to come out today, but the problem was that he would not. We probably won?t call him in. He recommended that with the problem we had, it sounded like a clogged drain line, and it turned out to be true. The company that we bought it from wouldn?t tell us anything; they just wanted to charge us for a service call. My wife spoke with him but I didn?t. We would use him again in the future if necessary.

Called in the morning and were able to be at my house around 5 p.m. Very professional. Was able to find the problem within 5 minutes. Unfortunately for me the problem was an expensive fix, and would cost about as much to fix as it would to buy a new washing machine. Marshall Repair was quick, honest, and informative about finding a new washer.

He was incredibly nice and didn't even charge me. He told me that was normal and if I used it more often the brakes wouldn't catch so badly. I thought it was going to be the bearings and he didn't try to sell me new bearings and I was very happy. He was extremely professional and very responsive. He was out the very next day. I trusted him. I would use him again.

My husband scheduled an appointment for this morning over 1 1/2 weeks ago. We specifically asked for today as I was having 2 other repaimen come by for other fixes and I took the day off from work to be home. My husband gave his cell number as a contact number. When making the appointment they did not tell him that they would call the day of to make sure someone was home. If that was the case he would have given my cell number or the house number for them to contact us because he knew he would be on a fishing boat in the Flordia Keys on the day of the visit. (All other repairmen called the night before to confirm). At 2:00 I finally called them and talked to Chris. He told me that they called the morning of, even though we were the first stop and left messages for my husband. Since no one call them back they did not show up. That is understandable because I can see them going to houses and noone is home. So I didn't have an issue with possibly resheduling. What I am giving this company and "F" for is that when I talked to them at 2:00 Chris told me he would contact his repair guy to see if her could come back later and that he would call me back with that information. After I waited about 1 1/ hours I called again at 3:30 and was told that he would call and text the repairman again and let me know. Ok, if you run a business that is customer focus (we know because we own one) wouldn't it be important the make sure that your repairmen answer their phones? It is 5:45 and I have still not gotten a call back from Chris.They are leaving me hanging here without a response. If you say that you will return a call then you better do it!. I will not bother contacting to reschedule. I picked them because they were rated high and were local and I wanted to keep the business local. Hopefully they have enough business elsewhere because With customer service like this I can find someone who wants my business,

This is Chris from Appliance Marshall Repair replying here: We are sorry for this unfortunate circumstance which we consider to be a complete misunderstanding. There are two sides to every story, and this situation is no different. The reason that the Member has rated us poorly is based on her understanding of our communications, which we pride ourselves in being very repsonsive and forward in communicating. We are ranked top 10 percent of all service companies here on Angie's List as well as we are ranked number 1 in the midwest for several brands we do warranty and factory work for, achievements which we would not have been recieved with poor communications. The customer has stated that the only phone number was given to Appliance Marshall was for a cell phone that was essentially out of the country, and she did not contact us until approximately 5 hours after the scheduled appointment time. The first time I spoke with her at 2pm I mentioned rescheduling to a different day, but said I would see what could be done about still visiting her the same day. When we spoke again at 330pm, I told her that it wasn't going to happen that day, and when I mentioned rescheduling she stated that she could only do so after talking to her husband and that she would call some time in the following week to reschedule. I mentioned that I would try one more time with our technician, to see if anything changed, but would only call if we were still able to make it to her that day. Our technician can not always be reached when he is out in the field as it is not appropriate for him to be on it while in front of customers in their homes. We had left the situation in the customers hands, as she had said she would call us back to reschedule. This report has been based on service that was never provided because the customer gave us invalid information, and only contacted us several hours after the appointment was scheduled. We see this as her projecting her poor communication upon us, and therefore completely disagree with it entirely. She has made comparisons on us with other service companies in other industries and it is not apples to apples. It is not fair or accurate. We feel that this report is not valid, as it is not our fault that an invalid phone number was given, we should not be penalized for a customer's mistake. We would still like to help her with her appliance service needs, and would be happy to give a free quote over the phone and/or any other assistance that we can provide, but must insist that this report be removed. Any one is always free to contact me at any time in regards to this or any other question or concern. Chris, who arranges appointments for Marshall, was excellent to deal with and coordinated to service calls within two very specific days. I was able to negotiate a barter - Marshall kept my old oven in trade as partial compensation for his services. Overall, Marshall was friendly and professional - I have not a bad word to say! I had used him before, and would again.
Description of Work: I had a double wall oven that was being replaced under warranty from the manufacturer (BOSCH). BOSCH delivered the new oven to my house, but I was responsible for installation. I needed Marshall to remove my old oven and install the new one. The problem was that once the old oven was removed I needed the kitchen cabinet rebuilt (the new oven was bigger). I needed to coordinate two visits from Marshall around my cabinet guy, and minimize the time I would be without an oven, as well as the cost of two service calls, and the removal of my old oven.

My oven hadn't been working properly for a couple of days (as in preheating for 30 min and not getting warm). I called Appliance Marshall early Tuesday afternoon and he offered a same-day appointment. He kept me informed of his schedule and then arrived when he said he would. He quickly diagnosed the problem, educated me about the situation and the required part, and had the whole thing fixed in about 30 minutes. That's what I call service!

He came by the day he said he would come. He told my husband that a specific part was bad, which was on back order. He said there was another part as well that was bad. Since it took so long for the parts, he reduced the price of labor from over $300 to the $260. While he was here, he also took a look at my washer. He changed the hoses, which were connected wrong. He put a new lid on, too, and did not charge me for those services.

I set up the appointment on Monday the 7th for him to come out on Tuesday the 8th. He called me first thing on the 8th to give me a 2 hour window when he'd arrive. He was polite, clean, efficient and knowledgeable. The job was 141.50 parts and labor and was 1/2 the cost Sears wanted to charge. 90 days parts and labor warranty. Total job time took 20 minutes.
Description of Work: I have an older Roper (Whirlpool) front load gas dryer that tumbles but didn't heat up. Marshall (Owner) came out and quickly identified the problem as faulty coils that control the gas flow. 2 new parts and 20 minutes later the dryer worked good as new.
