We had a good experience a few years back using West Suburban Appliance to repair our dishwasher. Recently, my 5 year old Maytag refrigerator was freezing all of our produce, so I contacted Eddie again. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and Eddie is very punctual and professional. Eddie replaced the thermistor on the refrigerator for a fair rate. The refrigerator seemed fine for a few days, but started freezing our produce again. I spoke with Eddie and he indicated the main control board must be the problem. He provided me the cost for a replacement control board and waived the service fee for his return visit. It?s so nice to have someone stand behind their work. I greatly appreciate the honest and dependable service West Suburban Appliance consistently provides.

Eddie is a professional. He called on the early part of the appointment window and announced when he was going to arrive (30 Min out). Arrived on time and proceeded to go through a very comforting and professional process. Evaluate the problem, quote a solution, perform the repair, go over what he did at the end, payment. He was in and out in 40 Minutes, Super happy with the overall experience and would gladly recommend.

Setting up the appointment was super easy. They offered next-day service and a very reasonable fee. The technician (Eddie) arrived during the time frame agreed upon. He was completely professional and very friendly. The job was fairly simple, but he told me that, had I not repaired it, it would have turned into a big mess. He took off $50 because I'm an Angie's List member! Overall, terrific service. Highly recommended!

It could not have worked out better. I'm sure Eddie would have preferred we called first thing in the morning but unfortunately my husband and I worked all day Sat and came home at 7:00 to find the freezer up to 40 degrees. We vacuumed the coils (thinking that would fix things) , then made the mistake and called Sears Home Repair, Well they could come out Thur. (5 days later) and for the small amount of $39.99 a month for 12 months -plus a $99.00 deductible they would fix the refrigerator and any other appliance problem we had. I told them I only had the problem with the refrigerator and in 5 days all my food would be ruined. They said they would make a note of that and if an earlier appt. came up they would call. So I looked on Angie's List (why I didn't start here I don't know--exhausted from a long day is going to be my excuse), I found West Suburban Appliance Repair within 5 miles of our house. The hours said they closed at 1 pm that day but did have 24 hour service, so at 8 pm I sent a message to them thru Angie's List and less than 10 min later Eddie called. "I can come tonight or tomorrow morning--same price-but I don't think you should wait" Less than a half hour later (just enough time to clear stuff off the top of the refrigerator) Eddie was at our door. After putting his booties on over his shoes and bringing a sheet of plastic to roll the fridge out and not damage the floor, he fixed it in about 5 minutes. Had to replace a relay and capacitor. He even used our little vacuum to clean up under the fridge . He explained everything, was courteous and polite and in less than a hour and a half from turning on my computer to find "someone" he had it running perfectly. I can now say "We have a guy", if ever anyone needs help and I will never call Sears again. I did enjoy calling to cancel the appt. and telling them the reason was I found someone willing to do it NOW and at a much better price.

Very responsive and professional - came over on schedule, explained everything in detail and was very thorough and professional. Price was very reasonable as well.

He was very honest and understood that we were on a limited budget. He explained that it would be better to just replace the dishwasher since it was over 10 years old rather then having it repaired for a while and it breaking down on us again. I was very grateful for his honesty and will soon be calling him to get it replaced.

Everything went great, Eddie was here when he said he would be. He called 30 minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He knew exactly how to diagnose and fix the problem. He had the right tools and the parts necessary to fix the dryer. He was upfront about the cost, which was more than fair. After the repair, he vacuumed the entire inside of the dryer. West Suburban Appliance Repair now has a customer for life.

Eddy did an excellent job explaining to me why my freezer was misbehaving, and why the ice maker wasn't responsible. He quickly diagnosed the problem and chipped away at ice for a half hour to fix it, while I worked out in the garage. So now I know that a refrigerator has a defrost cycle, and that I need to clean the coils underneath. Both good things to know. Eddy was also very quick and explained what I needed to do to so this wouldn't happen again (namely, don't put bread ties or peas in the freezer. I'd definitely recommend Eddy to anyone looking to see why their appliance isn't working quite right.

Called West Suburban Appliance for a repair. We set an appt date for the following Monday as it was not urgent, and we were not going to be home on the weekend. As the time came, a repair man called in advance to let us know he was coming. He was on time and did a good job - HOWEVER, it was not West Suburban Appliance that came. They must have outsourced our call to YABA Services out of Downers Grove. Our check was made payable to them and the receipt came from them. Their card indicated that they are Residentialappliancesrepair.com. In the end it was ok, however, we contacted West Suburban and at no time were we ever told that someone other then them would be handling our repair. It is therefore not very possible for us to truly rate West Suburban Appliance since our service was outsourced or sold to someone else.

We thought we were going to need to replace a dryer. But when Eddie came, he found a sock stuck in the machine. He did not charge us for the call as he was late, which I greatly appreciated but did not expect. awesome customer service !

Eddie, came on short notice, arrived on time, and took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. He was friendly and did a terrific job. I would definitely hire him again, and I will recommend him highly to others. I am going to hang on to his business card for the future.

My four year old Maytag dishwasher wasn't finishing the dishwash cycle. I contacted West Suburban Appliance via e-mail and he responded promptly. We set up an appointment for a few days later. Eddie called 15 minutes before he arrived and arrived on time. He was courteous and efficient. He did not have the part we needed on hand, so he scheduled a return visit a few days later. Once again, he called ahead and arrived on time. He installed a new heater assembly in about an hour. I appreciated the prompt and efficient service Eddie provided and wouldn't hesitate to recommend West Suburban Appliance Repair to family or friends.

The tech came out last min when i called this morning and was right on time! Service was great, knew what to do and was quick effiecient to get it working! I highly recommend this company

Went very well. A little confusion about what time he would arrive, but he was polite and efficient when he got there. Explained everything he did. He offered the $50 coupon so I would not have to print it.

These guys are first rate!!! We have used them in the past for our frig and washer. They have always been honest and reasonably priced. In fact the switch they replaced tonight was 1/10 the price another appliance company previously charged us. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will continue to use them for our appliances into the future.

Eddie was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He told me what he thought was wrong with my washer, told me how much it would cost to fix, and gave me lots of good information to help me make a decision as to whether it was better to repair or replace. He did not pressure me to repair it. He also gave me good advice about options to avoid if I were to buy a new machine. I will definitely call West Suburban again.

Eddie was friendly, polite, and came out on time to complete the work. He efficiently fixed my dishwasher and was even friendly about my 3 year old inspecting his work. He restored my non-operational dishwasher (only 3 years old) back to functioning well. I highly recommend.

Technician was pleasant and customer focused. The repair work was completed to my satisfaction. Although I was very satisfied with the service, I would have classified the service as outstanding if parts were available on the weekend and the job could have been completed on the same day.

It was fantastic service from Eddie. Although he took a little longer to arrive than that half-hour that the advisory call mentioned, it was no big deal. Once here, Eddie got right to work and was an absolute professional. He didn't even blink when he removed the back panel and found some after-market alterations that the previous home-owner had done, and we weren't even aware of (wish that was the first time we had heard that). When it was all said an done, Eddie had replaced the part, cleaned our coils despite our years of neglect, and then turned around and refunded us the labor cost, so we only had to pay for the replacement part. He was in and out in the better part of an hour. We took some of his suggestions to get some cheap thermometers to monitor the fridge and freezer temps and will clean the coils more regularly. We were more than happy with Eddie's work and price, and would completely use his services again.
