Jay Lofgren came out today and advised me that I had a "bird-bath" formation in my concrete and that leveling would not fix the problem. He explained that many times the can fix it but not in my situation. I appreciate this company's honesty because typically if you ask to buy something that a company sells, they will sell it ot you. Not this company. Jay recommend a different solution and gave me suggestions on the type of product I should use. Hats off to your firm as you guys do business the way I do. I appreciate that and wanted to let my fellow angie's list members that these guys are reputable. They were very punctual and called to confirm appointment. Thank you.

Overall, I was pleased with the result, although the crack I asked them to repair between one of the concrete slabs and the first step of the stairs leading to the front door was not as smooth as I hoped. I understand the color differences between old and new concrete, but I was expecting the patch to be a lot smoother (flatter). I also felt the price was a little higher than a few companies I had quotes for (perhaps $100-200 more). However, this company was recommended by a few of its competitors that did not perform mudjacking, so I opted to try them despite paying more.

The entire process took about 1 1/2 hrs and they did a very professional job. They were 1 1/2 hrs late because they had experienced some prblems on the previous job and apologized for that, although it was no their fault. I am very satisfied with the work and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

My experience with them was fantastic. They came and gave us an estimate. I was able to get the estimate online. They came and did the work the same week. Everything was done cleanly, efficiently, and perfectly. They were easy to work with. They did everything they were supposed to do. It was a very good experience all the way through. I had no complaints at all. They did a beautiful job. They were fantastic. I definitely would use them again and I have recommended them to others already.

I thought the experience was fine. It was a basic service. The price was fair and reasonable. They did a good job. There wasn't much to it. Our driveway kind of sagged a bit, and they lifted it. They have extra tips on their website. They also recommended a sealant. They said we could do it ourselves, and we could save money. They were on time as well.

I thought I might need some mud jacking to deal with a concrete slab problem in my house. I made an appointment for an estimate from Raise-Rite, and the gentleman showed up at the agreed time. After taking a careful look at the situation, he told me that one area did not need mud jacking, and that another area would only be improved cosmetically, but overall I would not be satisfied with the result. He told me that I needed to replace that area, and suggested two other contractors who could do the needed work. I was delighted that this gentleman took the time to explain why he couldn't help, and why his work wasn't necessary or appropriate, then referred me elsewhere.

What can I say but outstanding work!!
Description of Work: Called and the next day I had a quote, I made an appointment for them to raise my sidewalk and step. Now I'm thinking this may be to small of a job, not at all, they came out on the scheduled day and did the repairs...outstanding. They cleaned up and if it were not for the spots were the repairs were made and the sidewalk and step back to where they belonged you couldn't tell they had even been there!

After seeing positive reviews on AL, I called to schedule an estimate appointment. The estimator / company insisted that he'd rather stop by on his schedule, vs. a time when I could be home to explain the nuance of what I wanted. As a result, when I got the estimate from Greg, it did not include repairing the actual concrete square that prompted me to call in the first place (!). When I called the office to chat with him about the estimate, I began a game of phone tag. When Greg called back again, he said he was leaving for vacation at the end of the day, so to call him on his cell phone "for the next 2 hours". I called immediately and left my 3rd voicemail (2 at the office, 1 now on his cell phone). He never called back. It shouldn't be that hard to get ahold of someone. We decided to go with another company.

It was a good experience to deal with a truly honest person!
Description of Work: I had two issues that I had Darrell Clay (the owner) come out to look at as they do free estimates. He could have easily told me I needed both things corrected by his company at a cost of thousands but instead he told me the truth that the work was not necessary. He told me how to correct my problems without spending alot of money. I stronly recommend this company due to the fact that the owner is so honest I am sure he would not settle for any employees that do not reflect himself and his business. Thumbs up....way up!!

I asked for a quote. Gentlemen came out promptly. I asked for the cost to raise some front porch stairs and my garage floor. The gentlemen explained why some of the work I was requesting was not needed and how to mitigate the problem I was having, by myself. In short he saved me $1,000. The team subsequently came to the house to do the garage floor. A team of 3 worked almost silently, did a very professional job and cleaned up in a way so that you could not even tell they had been there. Perfect.

(04/07/2010) After the first visit, I was not satisfied with the result so I called Raise Rite. I was greeted by name before I could even tell my concerns, I was told that they were aware that the job was incomplete and that the crew would be back the next day with the appropriate equipment to finish the job. They arrived early the next morning to complete the work, as promised. This company is very reliable and responsive. UPDATE (04/09/2010) This is a company with a very high standard of quality and unparalleled customer service. Very highly recommended.
Description of Work: (04/07/2010) One half of my concrete driveway apron was sunken about 2 inches which resulted in a tremendous puddle whenever we had rain or snow melt. Raise Rite was able to lift the piece so there is now only a thin line of water that puddles in the same spot. It was not a 100% fix but about 85% better than it was. I do not believe it is possible to fix it further without pouring a new concrete apron. UPDATE (04/09/2010) Update to my previous posting: Multiple attempts to lift my driveway apron were not performed to the quality standards of Raise Rite so they did not charge me for the service.

They were out to give us an estimate the day after contacting them. They were very detailed in what the work would encompass and how it would proceed. Their crew arrived at the time and date specified, and completed the raising within 3 1/2 hours. They did a good job of cleaning up - except for the patching you would not know that they had been there. The driveway turned better than we expected, and we will be recommending them to anyone needing this service.

We had other concrete lifters out and they wouldn't touch the job for one reason or another. This company is the only one who really investigated the situation to find the problem. They were absolutely fantastic to work with and really knew their stuff. They lifted the concrete and also filled in gaps in our family room. The price was lower than I thought it would be, too. I got everything I expected and more.

Darrel was good to work with and very personable. After reviewing the job, he recommended an alternate solution using urethane foam instead of concrete mudjacking. The foam solution would be cleaner and not require drilling large holes through the tile floor. The downside was that it would be almost twice the cost unless we could piggyback on another job. The team had to travel from Wisconsin and my job was not big enough for a full day. After months of waiting I decided to move forward and cover the travel costs for my job alone. The first step was to scan the floor for the radiant heat pipes in the concrete. This was an extra cost as well, but included in the overall cost reported. The scan ensured that no pipes would be damaged when holes were drilled. The crew arrived on time and began to drill in the corner of the tiles and into the floor. This was the most anxious part. After drilling all holes, they began to pump the material under the floor and slowly the floor raised to original level. The process was clean, they covered the floor in plastic and fast, completed in 3 hours. I am very satisfied in the work and professionalism of the team. I wish that the cost was less, but who doesn't want to pay less. I could not find any other provider of this servers and some of the other companies want me to remove a subfloor and tile to do the job. Overall, I would rate an A.

This is a slightly different job than most of their mudjacking work, because it involved a structure as well as the concrete slab itself. Darrell was pretty up front about what the process may or may not solve for our particular problem. Mostly, we wanted to stabilize the slab and make it level. Some of the concrete didn't get raised as high as we would have liked, and some of it ended up a little higher (not level in the other direction), causing a bit of a problem with a sliding glass door on one wall (wouldn't close at all). It wasn't totally unexpected, but we actually didn't see the problem until after they had left and they didn't mention it. Overall it was a good experience, given it was a tricky job to begin with.
Description of Work: Mud jacking a concrete slab partially covered by an extension of our house (wood jousts sitting on the slab on grade). The whole thing had sunk 1-2 inches (probably over a span of 10 years) and started to pull away from the rest of the house.

Prompt estimating. Easy to contact. Showed up on day promised; a bit later than expected, but it worked out fine. One panel came up a quarter-inch higher than the garage floor; the others were dead-on. Not bad for this type of work. Given past history of this slab I know it will settle in time. The only negative: I would have appreciated if they cleaned up the adjacent sidewalk area. After the area dried I needed to sweep off accumulated concrete dust and residue.
Description of Work: Raise driveway panels to level of garage floor. (Previously mud jacked by others about ten years earlier.) The driveway had stress cracks such that they actually raised three pieces to complete the job.

Experience with the company was excellent. I got the quote the very next day I called them. Three guys performed the job and were very professional. Without wasting any time they got to their business and spent about 2-3 hours. Quality of work was good and money I spent was very reasonable. Only thing which they don't do is fill up any cracks. However they handed over me a leaflet which had very easy instructions of filling up the cracks. Overall the experience with this company was excellent.
