Hang & Shine Inc. is the premier choice for all your custom blinds, shades, and shutters manufactured by Hunter Douglas Window Fashions in Chicago, IL and its surrounding suburbs. We offer an assortment of blind-related services including blinds sales of many different kinds of blinds, blind cleaning using our ultrasonic cleaning method, drapery cleaning, and blind repairs and installation. We offer cleaning for any size job whether it be residential or commercial. We can clean your blinds on-site using our mobile blind cleaning truck, pick up and deliver your blinds, or you can simply drop them off at our Carol Stream, IL, location. Description of Work: We purchased deal for $500 worth of merchandise for $199. Told this company when we called we had 2 windows we needed drapes or blinds for. Nothing was said during that time but as soon as he stepped into the room we were told they do not just do 2 windows and that was was to be $500 towards a larger job. We pointed out that it does not say that on the deal just get $500 worth for $199. We were then told that it was the way Angie's List said they had to write the deal and he knew this was going to happen. He wanted us to let him go ahead and give us a quote and he would apply a $500 credit. At this time we told him we felt bait and switched and declined. We then asked Angie's List for a refund as per your guarantee. To date we have not been refunded for this deal.

[member name removed], We sincerely apologize for unhappiness with our Big Deal. It was an oversight in the original planning of the deal. The deal now states there is a 5 blind minimum. I will see to it that Angie's List refunds your $199. We are two brothers that own and operate this company since 1998. We actually started from scratch out of our parent's garage with very little training and now have become quite successful. We are honest hard working family orientated guys who care about our customers. I tried my best when I was in your home to be as upfront and honest as possible. You were asking me to supply you with two window blinds where my cost was over $199. I'm sure you or anyone else would understand we can't supply a product and a service at a loss for the company.This is the first F rating we have ever received since being with Angie's List since 2002. Unfortunately you did not get to experience the excellent service we have provided for over 17 years. I take it quite personal to see an F rating and I apologize as I did when we were face to face for any unintentional wrong doing. Best, Mike

Description of Work: I had Hang and Shine clean my silhouette blinds. They took them down in the morning and returned them in the afternoon. Everything was done perfectly and the blinds look awesome! Before cleaning the blinds had dust built up on the inside areas. I will definitely use the company again. Because the blinds are costly to begin with, this cleaning service was well worth the investment!
