AWE Air Water Energy

Everyone at AWE was great. I called due to a leaky sink and two loose toilets and they were able to send someone over right away, only about an hour later. The plumber looked everything over and showed me the prices from a price catalog he had. It seems as though each job is a certain price regardless of how long it takes which is nice to know up front. We wanted to pro-actively replace our old A/C and furnace and also had someone out for a quote on that. He was very friendly and informative and we did not feel pressured in any way. He told us our options and about the 12 month interest free financing. We had a follow up with him to go over paperwork, and someone else came out to look over our attic insulation. They were super accommodating with scheduling their visits, some of which were during the day but some in the evening where I wanted my husband to hear the information as well. The installation of the A/C and furnace was scheduled about a week later and I think it probably took 5 to 6 hours. The two guys who installed showed me everything they did when they were done and made sure I didn't have any questions. Two weeks later, another person came to review the install and make sure I didn't have any issues or questions. This review was initiated by AWE and I've never seen a company do that before - I was impressed with their dedication to customer satisfaction and quality. They are punctual, responsive, no-pressure, vehicles professional and clean, and we will definitely use them again in the future.

I was very happy with the work done - the faucet installation was quick, and I have been happy with the results. The removal of the anode rod achieved the desired result, eliminating the odor from our hot water.

All went fine. Adam arrived exactly at agreed upon time of 8 a.m. He wore "slippers" in the house and was pleasant and agreeable. Answered all my questions. Made sure lights he turned on in furnace-AC area were turned off as well as hose after cleaning outside component. We have used this company for over 30 years, initially called the Air Conditioning & Heating Company. We have always been happy with their services.

The tech arrived on time and then worked with Navien Tech support to diag the problem. Some parts were needed. The tech was able to setup the Navien to provide hot water until the parts arrived, which was very much appreciated. There was some confusion regarding how Angie list promos work, which was not AWEs fault but they worked with us and I am satisfied with the result.

Found AWE via Angie's List and all the great reviews. Called them out as our furnace wasn't kicking on as it should. Our appt was for 11am. AWE called to let me know that a tech was in the area and could come early if we wanted. Of course! Darrel showed up about 20 min later. He was very professional and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem and we were fixed within 30 minutes. He also found an additional problem that could have made things worse. We signed up for the economical maintenance plan too. Overall, a super job and I would highly recommend them!

AWE performs an inspection of the furnace or air conditioner; I chose the off-season inspection which is cheaper. They come out and check the functioning of the unit - in this case it [in Sept.] it was the air conditioner. They check the functioning of critical parts, current usage [which might reveal wear], temperature difference supply/return air. They examine filters to see if they are clogged, and wash down the outside part of the a/c. If you need filters, you have the option to buy from them or get them yourself. When it's inspection time, you get an email reminder, then can call for a date. They also call the day before to remind you, then the day of the inspection the office calls that the service person is on their way. They wear "booties" over their shoes so as to not track dirt in your house. The entire inspection usually takes about an hour.

We have used A.W.E. for years and find them to be very professional and always on time. They always call when they are on their way and are often early. If there is ever an unusual problem, they assign their senior techs or a manager to resolve it as soon as possible. We have also used them to install a hot water heater and sump pump and their price was reasonable the work was well done.

As soon as I bought deal from Angie's List, A.W.E. contacted me via email right away. When I responded to their inquiry, A.W.E. emailed me right away to confirm details of our correspondence. I was very impressed by prompt response, quite frankly, caught off guard. Appointment was made as soon as possible (A.W.E. would have come sooner were it not for our crazy schedule). Plumber was very professional, courteous, did NOT attempt to "sell us" further services - honest! He was prompt and made sure to call beforehand to make sure it was okay to still come at appointed hour. He spent quite a bit of time checking toilet to make sure nothing else was amiss - fortunately, we were able to fix problem ourselves. We would gladly call A.W.E. again.

Workman was very pleasant, extremely polite. Worked very neatly and efficiently, and cleaned up everything very well. That said, I would not hire this company again. I had purchased an Angie's List deal that included a discounted $39 service call and a $50 credit toward repairs. It did not turn out to be a good deal. The company does not charge by the hour. The workman had a book that listed the set charge for all sorts of jobs. Even though I was supposedly given the discounted book rate for being an Angie's List member, the total still came to $790, which was mostly labor (parts supplied included the two new drain popups and wax rings for installing the new toilet). I thought that total was steep for what turned out to be about 2 hours' work. If I had not bought the Angie's List deal, I would have gotten an estimate before hiring this company, and I would have looked further.

Tech named Bill W performed AC check, arrived promptly and wore footies over shoes upon entering. Proceeded to clean furnance filter and check interior AC components/tempature. Exited to outside and performed compresser/unit check on AC. Tech reported to me and also to AWE concerning loudness and pressure/temp of compressor was of concern. Tech then informed that a more expierienced tech named Kamil would arrive to check for leaks in sytem and analyze results. Kamil arrived within 1 hour and was pleasant/business like and went into explicit detail on his work being performed. After performing his analysis Kamil reported his results, repoting that no leak/concerns were found and that a 1/2 pound of freeon would be needed. So from 8AM to 1PM a total of 5 hours was needed to complete work, however a storm occurred stopping all work for 1 of those hours.

GREAT company and kept in contact on day of service. Technician was more than willing to answer questions and did not mind that I observed what he was doing for my own future knowledge as I am unfamiliar with this rental house. Couldn't have had a better experience.

The Plumber, Kerry, was on time for the appointment, put on shoe coverings when he entered the house, was knowledgeable, answered all my questions and concerns, and assessed the non working disposal. He determined it was not repairable and explained to me it needed to be replaced. He had the replacement disposal and the parts needed on his truck and in a short time had the job completed. He did not make a mess and cleaned up after he was finished. Prior to the appointment, all the communication with the office staff was efficient, helpful and professional. We have been using AWE for a few years now. They installed our furnace, air conditioner and sump system. We contract for their annual check up. This service call was for our annual air conditioner inspection. The provider called 30 minutes prior to the appointment to let us know he was on the way, and then he arrived right on time. He was very courteous and professional. He asked about pets and put on shoe protectors immediately. He told me everything he was doing. He inspected the main unit filter and left it to me as to whether or not to replace the filter without being pushy. He inspected and cleaned the air conditioning unit outside. We only had 2-3 different service AWE technician over the years and each has been very professional and courteous.

The technician has been to the house before and is always very pleasant, efficient, and informative. The appointment was easily scheduled and the company called the night before with a reminder.

They always do excellent work. We have been using them for years and everyone that works for them is very professional and friendly. The work is always done on time and the craftsmanship is excellent. They also offer us a good discount since we are under a maintenance agreement.

It was problematic dealing with this company from the beginning. They asked for my telephone number but all communication was through email until the reminder phone call the night before the service call. I tried to comply with one of their time slots but they said, too late. I had to re-arange my schedule to one convenient to them to get them to come. I said on the email to them that I had a leaking faucet, had bought a new one and needed it installed. When the plumber arrived he said that the $39 I paid was basically just to get a plumber to come out. He further said (even without looking at it) that installing a faucet would cost $250 and that the $39 would get applied. I told him that was unacceptable and did not invite him beyond my front door. I then called Angie's List because I was very disappointed about how this Big Deal was advertised. They should have said that the $39 was for nothing. Most companies will come out and give you an estimate for nothing and that is basically what I got for $39!! If it were properly advertised, I never would have purchased this big deal. I have American Home Shield which allows me to pay a $65 service fee and a plumber will come out and provide and install a new faucet. I feel that because this deal was poorly advertised and I got nothing for the $39 I should receive a refund.

The company called to advise that the technician was on the way about 20 minutes prior to his scheduled arrival. The technician was at our house at 12 PM for a visit scheduled to be between 12 PM and 2 PM. He was very thorough in checking our air conditioning equipment inside and out. He did a very good job of explaining what he had done and that everything was in good condition. He was in and out in less than a half hour.

Have has A.W.E. providing the annual services on my furnace and a/c for approximately 8 or 9 years now and have been very satisfied. They are upfront and honest if there is a problem as far as if it can wait for a while or needs to be done immediately and are straight forward with their prices.

They were great and always are. I have been doing business with AWE for many, many years and have never been disappointed.
