Armbrust Plumbing Heating & AC Inc

It went very smoothly as all of our transactions with Armbrust have gone for more than 15 years. We know a half dozen of their technicians who take care of our furnace and air conditioning system, RPZ valve in our lawn irrigation system, backup generator, and the occasional plugged drain or leaky faucet. They are without exception well trained, diligent, neat, and prompt. They call ahead of scheduled time to make sure someone is home and arrive in the scheduled time window. They are all capable of explaining what they are doing, offering advice for improving performance of the system they are servicing, and clearly answering any questions. We especially appreciate the expertise of Jeff who took care of the furnace today, but all of their people are top notch.

Fine. It went well. I was pleased. Will hire again.

I checked Angie's List and they had some good reviews. I had tried them for some smaller jobs first. They did a pretty good job of explaining everything like the issues and what the need to do to fix it and what the consequences would be if I didn't fix it. They explained everything really well. I only had that one big job and they knocked it out of the park.

Everything went great! Tom was on time, thorough in explaining things to me, efficient in his work, and professional. I was completely satisfied with the job he did and will be consulting with him in the future for my plumbing needs.

I called on 7/10 and the man on the phone took my name and number and said they would call me back. It is 7/13 and no phone call!

It went very well. Tom was the technician and he was on time, worked very quickly, and fixed it correctly the first time. We even asked him to fix a couple other things around the house.

I was starting to remodel our laundry room and found that one of the shut off valves to the laundry tub wouldn't close. It wouldn't budge so I couldn't shut it off. I had used Armbrust a couple of times late in 2016 and called them and so Dave came out to look. The shut off valves were over 30 years old and so I had them replaced rather than just try to get the one bad one closed. Dave replaced both but shortly after he left I noticed one of the valves developed a slow drip. I called and he came back and checked it and re-tightened it. The next morning I noticed the other valve had a very slow leak. It wasn't much at all but of course over time those drops add up. I called Armbrust again and Dave came over that day and re-attached the 2nd shut-off valve. There were no additional charges and he came back promptly both times.

Tom had to cut a rectangular hole in the wall to get to the existing piping and to replace the old shut off valves that the washing machine hoses connected to. He told me earlier that he would need to cut into the wall so that didn't surprise or bother me. He had to move around the new piping and the drain pipe since the new laundry box was configured differently from the old one. I think he did a good job and everything seems to be working fine now (5 months later). My only complaint is that the laundry box was noticeably crooked and so it didn't look that neat. He mentioned that the washing machine should hide it but it doesn't. I didn't complain at the time since it wouldn't make much sense to have to re-solder and replace all of that piping. Since the wall of the laundry box was wallpapered and I wouldn't be able to patch it, and match the wallpaper print, I decided to put wainscoting on that wall of the laundry room. I was able to get the laundry box to look fairly square by the way I cut the wainscoting around the box but it took some work and trial and error. In the end everything looks pretty good.

Our water heater was about 17 years old and was still operating fine. I knew one day soon though I would come down to the basement and find water on the floor so we decided to spring for a new one. Alan came in and without any fuss hauled out our old water heater and installed a new one. He was only at our house about an hour and a half. Hope this new one lasts a long time also, but I'm not counting on it.

We were very pleased. We called them and waited for a return call. I think everything went very well. He was informative, he showed me some things on it, he took his time. It wasn't a case of get in and get your check and leave. All in all I think he did really well. He asked about the chimney and made sure there was nothing blocking the ventilation system. He covered things that I didn't even ask about. He was very helpful.

Tom tried to fix it with a simple solution of a washer first which would have saved me money. When it didn't stop the leaking, he installed a new faucet quickly and professionally. Armbrust is a very honest company. I will hire them again. Thanks for coupons on Angie's list!

He did plumbing for me a couple of times and did good work. There were a number of things and he was here an hour and a half maybe.

I have used him for the last twenty years. I have been very happy with them. They are extremely professional. Knowledgeable. They figure out problems and take care of them for me, before they become an problem or immediately. They have been great. It was an fair price. They are very dependable. Their customer service is outstanding with sending emails, and sending pictures of the service person. When they get here, its not their first rodeo. They have been doing it for a while. They figure out what the problem is quickly, and solve the problem quickly.

Quick work and options provided. Dave listened to the history of the house and the issues we were having with a basement toilet. He was confident that we should start with rodding out the main sewer line. It worked! House is over 110 yeas old so we are very, very pleased this was a quick fix.

It was in a timely basis. They cleaned the furnace whenever we had them out. It's just one person who comes out usually.

Great - always prompt, very knowledgeable, courteous, professional, did the job right, didn't cut corners... Would definitely recommend them. We had several other plumbers and Heat/AC people come to the house before, and our experience with Armbrust was 10x better than all of the experiences we had. I think they were pretty much in line cost-wise with the others we have used, but their service and work is so far superior, that I would go with them regardless of a little difference in cost.

They came quickly and had the job done within 30 min. A little expensive but it was last minute and plumbing issues usually are.

They have always been punctual, knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. Willing to answers any questions - actually volunteering info sometimes before we ask. Good folks.

The quality of the work and their professionalism was top notch. Their price was a little high but not overly priced. They are good. The workers were very professional and they did what they said they were going to do and came through. I will continue to use them.

They were excellent. The price was reasonable. The quality was good. They called twenty minutes before they showed to let me know they were on their way. They didn't have to come back and fix the job because it wasn't done well. I will use them again.

The job was done on time and we are very happy with the results. Will definitely be using Armbrust in the future.

John came out to look at our heating system and give us an estimate. Since it was the peak of air-conditioning season, it took a little longer than expected to get our proposal. We followed up and eventually received a thorough proposal which we accepted. Patrick set-up the hydronic system and it seemed to go very well. We haven't used the system yet since the weather continues to be nice but we are confident that the system will work very well. Patrick treated our house like his own. He is very professional and friendly. We highly recommend Armbrust for any HVAC or plumbing work.

Pat A. came to initially diagnose and come a few days later to complete the work. I believe that Armbrust is committed to quality but the following things with keep me from calling Armbrust back immediately in the future: - Labor rates seem high ($129 for first half hour or $199 if considered an "emergency" visit plus $156 per hour thereafter, billed in 15 minute increments) - Pat spent quite a bit of billed time on the phone (with colleagues or Kohler) trying to figure out / learn / fix the replacement part issue. He also asked to get on our Wifi (and we paid his labor rate while this occurred) - In my opinion, Pat rounded his timecard by a quarter hour increment at each visit. It may not seem like much, but at $38 per quarter hour, that's an extra $80, on top of the semi inefficiencies noted above. - Finally, Vance, who was handling the scheduling for the follow-up appointment, didn't properly schedule our visit (i.e. he didn't put it into the system after our clear phone call confirmation) and therefore Pat A. was a no show for the first follow-up appointment. Rich Armbrust apologized for this, but that was it. Again, the job was completed satisfactorily, but top-notch rates require top-notch service & expertise (which I didn't feel that we received) and the labor billing "round-ups" just rubbed me the wrong way.

Great. After having a few other plumbers come by who were not helpful, Alan from Armbrust came by and got the job done. They were very helpful, and seemed to honestly want to make it was easy/inexpensive as possible.

They should read over what they do and what they don't do. I thought they would level it out and clean up a little bit better but they didn't. I haven't flooded since then. Quality was good.
