I had 36 linear feet of copper drain pipe which was leaking at various points (which I had covered with rubber seals and Flex Seal). Tom came in, assessed the situation, gave me his observations and his plan, and got right down to work. I knew this was going to be a difficult project. Tom covered floors and laundry machines with protective sheets. He carefully cut out the copper and replaced with PVC. He even replaced the sump pump copper drain pipe. As a bonus, he sloped the drain pipes which ran long distances (which were level before). Tom's an experienced professional and I hope to have him back when I need the other half of the system replaced.

The technician, Steve, was excellent. He was efficient and very responsive to the work needed in my 90+ year old parents’ home. He made sure I received a full report on the work that was done and work that might be needed in the future. I really appreciated this and would highly recommend this company.

Lou was on time, very knowledgeable, and professional. He followed CDC guidelines for social distancing while showing me what the problems were with my A/C unit. He also took the time to give me a few pointers about general A/C upkeep to prolong the life of the A/C unit.

He was on time, diagnosed the issue and replaced the leaking garbage disposal in under one hour. Price for service and new disposal was reasonable. I called Armbrust the day I discovered the leak and I had an appointment the next day. It was not an emergency.

This is about Armbrust Plumbing. I had a leaky tub faucet. They came out, here only to check brand of faucet, so they could order the part. For less than 1/2 hr , they charged what they called a trip charge, $223. Then they came back to put the part in, maybe here for 3/4 hr & wanted to charge another $185. Their credit card machine wouldn't work, so I didn't pay it. Then a few days later, the ball & handle of the faucet fell off. My friend was able to put it on. So I contacted Rich Armbrust the owner, through written & voice mail to tell him, that under the circumstances , I think we should call it even. He didn't even reply, but sent be a bill for the $185 + $5 late fee. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, but I don't know if they can help. Does anyone have any ideas?

Lou arrived and explained how he was going to identify the leak(s) and tackle the problem. He quickly located 3 different burst pipes after cutting into the ceiling drywall. He repaired them quickly and efficiently. He explained the various steps of the process as he was going along. Since the outside temps were frigid, everything in the garage was covered with a coating of ice. Lou has only been with the company a very short time but you would never know it! He was extremely professional and went above and beyond. He even showed me how to use our interior gas heater in our garage that we had never used since we didn’t know how it worked! It definitely helped with melting the ice so we could begin clean up. I would highly recommend Armbrust Plumbing, and ask for Lou!

Jay did a fantastic job and was mindful of keeping his workspace clean, which I sincerely appreciate. He also has a warm personality and was pleasant to speak to. This is the third time someone from Armbrust has come to my home (each visited unrelated), and I've always been more than satisfied with their work. Wheaton, IL Although I have had Armbrust Plumbing previously, with very good results, this recent experience was a 1 or 2 star. Over the past several years they did a professional job, thorough work, took measures to keep everything tidy, and clean (although maybe a bit pricey). On Nov 21, 2018, we had them out to fix a leak in our bathtub faucet. There was a dried out, leaking gasket behind the overflow in the tub. The workman, Bruce, said THEY don't have any type of gasket to replace it, and would need to replace all the piping between the tub drain and the overflow, which would mean breaking holes in our kitchen ceiling to access. (can't fix it, would need very costly repair). Also, the tub faucet needed a new washer, so it wouldn't drip, and he told he he didn't think he could fix it, as it was 60 years old. I pointed out it was all copper piping, and that the fixture was not that old. He seemed like he didn't want to even try. Lo and behold, the faucet 'broke', and he said he couldn't do anything more. Put it back together. His attitude seemed like he didn't want to be there, didn't want to attempt to fix things, and didn't even offer /suggest new faucets/shower hardware, or even offer to come back at a later date to fix/repair/replace. I told him to leave. As you can see from the date, this was the day before Thanksgiving, and we were hosting dinner. ....maybe he had other jobs to complete before Thanksgiving, or wanted to get home early? He left the hallway, bathroom floor, and tub full of dirt from his clothes/shoes ( don't know if this was dirt/feeces from previous job??) And charged us $223. to give us a bad attitude, dirt, and tried to replace a faucet washer-couldn't. I called Armbrust Plumbing owner, Rich, on 11-29. Explained the situation, he said he would check into things and call me back in 1-2 days. It has been a week, and no return call or correspondence. I guess I, a customer, don't matter to him. I had another plumber (different company) come out...he replaced the rubber gasket, installed new faucet/shower parts. This other plumber had: Positive attitude, professional work, cleaned up after himself, fair pricing.

Good, professional work Was performed by a nice plumber each time. However, we were charged the same labor price for both projects even though the installation of the garbage disposal took far less time than the toilet repair, which didn't seem right.

Called at 7:30am after waking up and discovering our water heater had gone out. Everyone I spoke with on the phone was great and answered all my questions while explaining the process. They were able to send someone out that afternoon to get a new unit installed. Process was very easy. We will defiantly hire again.

Armburst Plumbing service tech, Bruce H. called to let me know he was on time and would arrive as scheduled. Upon arrival, we had a discussion on the options available to repalce the sump pump, and what to do about the back up sump pump as well. Bruce did the work promptly. He cleaned up the entire area after finishing inside before heading outside to replace a leaky faucet. Upon completion, Bruce explained the bill to me line by line so that I was comfortable with the work performed and the price paid. Bruce was courteous, knowledgable and professional.

We have used Adam before. He arrived ahead of schedule, laid tarps down and performed the service well. He left the area as clean as it was when he arrived. He always does very professional and clean work.

Bruce was on time, polite, professional and made an effort to keep me informed as to what he needed to do and why. He spent approximately two hours on the job.

It went very well! Called to let me know he was coming, arrived on time, was polite and professional. He identified the source of the leak, replaced the wax ring and bolts, cleaned up, and was done in about 30 minutes. Have used them in the past and will use Armbrust Plumbing again!

I contacted Armbrust for an estimate to replace my old sump pump and install a maintenance free back up sump pump system. I had been concerned about the noises coming from the crawl space area where my sump is located. Rich from Armbrust came out and met with me and walked through my options. He explained why I was hearing the noises that were occurring with my sump and shared that if / when I decide to replace my current sump and add the back up system that they can rework the PVC pipes coming out of the sump and affix them to the foundation rather than routing them through the wooden joists that run under my floors in the living room, consequently, contributing to the loud noise. He also spent time educating me on how the systems work individually and together. After our meeting, he followed up with a written proposal outlining three options I could choose from to help improve my current sump pump arrangement in the crawl space. Never did I feel like I was being "sold" on a system that I didn't need. He broke out my options in the most cost effective manner and I appreciated the detail contained within the written proposal. A few months later I decided to schedule the work to be done. I received an email notification the day before the work letting me know who was assigned to the installation, a photo of my technician and the identification he would be possessing. I had the pleasure of meeting Adam C. My appointment was schedule between 7-7:30 a.m. He phoned me when he left Armbrust. He arrived around 7:20 (right on schedule) and when I met him at the front door he was personable and professional, shook my hand and introduced himself. I was completely at ease with Adam. My Boxer followed him around a good bit, and she is a good judge of character! Adam assured me that I would be in good hands. I was nervous with all of the recent rain fall, yet so relieved at the same time I was getting this project crossed off the list. Adam inspected the crawl space area and then went right to work. He used tarps to cover the carpeting from where he had to enter and exit the home. He understood that I had to take my kids to school and then catch the train to go to work. He took time to answer the questions that I had, asked me what I needed done to secure the house when the job was completed and set my mind at ease about leaving for the day. When I came home the house was secured and there was no evidence that any work had been done. It was neat and tidy. I was amazed to look into the crawl space and see my new sump pump and back up system. I then went outside and took a look at the work he did to secure the new PVC pipes and extra ejector pipe for the back up system. The drilling of the hole and the sealing of the pipes were very neat. I was amazed at the precision and timeliness of this installation. While these systems are not inexpensive, I do feel that the estimate I was provided and the price point I paid was fair and reasonable. The peace of mind knowing my home is safer with a new sump pump, improved plumbing and a back up maintenance-free sump pump system is invaluable. Lastly, the professional and courteous nature of Adam C., along with Rich at Armbrust, really made my experience beyond positive. I felt I was in excellent hands and I never felt that any of my questions or concerns were invalid or insignificant. The knowledge and expertise received from Adam and Rich really made me feel good about my investment. I absolutely would not hesitate to work with Armbrust in the future.
