Changing the faucets (inside and out) was more involved because of the age of the house and the original plumbing, but his estimate of time required (and therefore cost) was spot on. He works carefully with attention to detail and is a pleasure to work with. I have used Nick in the past and I will continue to use him in the future.

+ -1 moreL.B and Brian arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem quickly, provided me with a plan to correct problem, and quickly executed the plan. They had to access the pipe in a wall in the laundry room by cutting a hole in the drywall, cut out the bad section of pipe, and replace with new 3" pipe. They then discovered that the pipe leading to the septic tank had a reverse pitch, so they corrected that also. They cleaned up and left only an hour and a half. Both of these men were very professional and courteous. I will certainly use Lakeside again in the future, and have already recommended them to a friend.

+ 1 moreHi, just today had Nick and Tom do a couple jobs at my residence. I was very impressed with the job those two guys did. They arrived on time, prepared with a plan. They went to work right away and worked hard throughout. Nick is referring me to a specialist for the outdoor storm sewer work, and did a great diagnostic job for that problem. I really liked how the guys worked together -- clearly they know how to communicate and have great technical knowledge. They did a very good job of trouble shooting to determine it was not a plumbing problem but a problem with the shower floor and grout. The appointment was scheduled for the day after I called and they called to say they could come early wihich worked out great. They were very professional and courteous and also willing to look at a couple other plumbing issues. I thought the price was reasonable for the time they spent.

As far as I know for the one job, their price was comparable to another highly regarded plumber in the area but I would have liked to pay less. They did a great job and worked quick.

They had also called ahead to my wife, who is wheelchair-bound, to let her know they would be arriving so that she could be ready. The old sump pump was replaced and the new one installed within a few hours. It's been two months and we have not had a single problem with the sump pump. They provided a good product at a reasonable price. The customer service, timeliness and professionalism were excellent.

Our primary sump pump needed to be replaced, which they did right away, just in time for rain that night. Nick was very professional and efficient. I also used them to put in a faucet, and a new grinder in the sink. I have used them multiple times. I liked everything about them. The interaction was awesome, and they are very good.

What a thrill to find top notch people who gave an honest assessment Nick and Brian, were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They arrived within five minutes of their scheduled time, despite the fact that there were six inches of snow on the ground! We followed up with Heather at the office, who was extremely kind and professional. Highly recommended!

+ 0 moreI got a call a 43 minutes before my scheduled appointment to say they would be at my house. They arrived about 15 minutes earlier than the window of time I was told to expect them. Technician was clean, polite and friendly. He was well prepared and even brought his own paper towels/rags. After cleaning out the pipes, to make sure they were totally clear, he twice filled both sinks and released the sink stoppers to make sure the water drained properly. He also made sure the garbage disposal was clear. Finally, he went into the basement to check that no leaks formed from the rodding process. When asked, he gave me some advice regarding a toilet issue I have. From now on, I will only call Lakeside Plumbing when I have a plumbing need.

+ -1 moreSimply put, Nick is our guy for plumbing. He did some work for us when we first moved in a year ago. He totally remembered us and was as courteous and professional as last year. He explains everything that is going on, which is important in a 120-year-old house with some original plumbing and creative efforts to modernize that plumbing. The tricky aspect of this job is that the 100-year-old stack was a risk to crack up so he needed a couple of different new collar options. He had to go with the gentler option, which he thinks will buy us a few years. He was also really helpful in talking us through scenarios for renovations that we might want to do when--because it's not a matter of if--we have to more fully address the plumbing. We appreciated the consultation and the sense of relief that everything was fixed up before the holidays and worst of winter arrived. Plumbing work is never cheap, but Lakeside makes us feel comfortable with every penny we spend with them.
Description of Work: This was three visits within one week. We had a few problems: running toilet; low flow in kitchen sink; sewer gas odor in a bathroom. Nick took care of the first two problems quickly. The third was complicated. He had to remove the toilet and found that the collar was basically disintegrated, which he replaced the next day. This week, we had him come back because of odor in another bathroom and the basement. He checked that toilet and resealed it after verifying it was okay. He then determined that the traps were dry in the basement and refilled them.

I got explained their price structure ($155 per hour). They took 1.75 hour to get one line installed, ended up a bit pricy installation (in my feeling) for just one line for refrigerator. But overall, I was satisfied with their work.
