Their equipment got stuck in sewer and they haven't tried to do anything with it. Just left it there. No one take calls other than their secretary Margie, who tried to help with communication. Very weird company. They may be good with simple work, but if anything is not linear be ready for bad experience.

A different person came for each of the 3 visits. They were professional and friendly. On the last visit, the plumber arrived a little later than the 2 hour window they gave us. It was not a big deal, but a phone call to let us know would have been nice. Definitely would use them again.

It went wonderfully. Mike was on-time, courteous, attentive, and fixed my several problems very efficiently, not wasting any time, so the visit didn't cost a fortune. I've used this company a of couple times now and have always been happy with their service and prices. Far superior on both counts to any other plumber I used in the past. By going on their website in advance, I was able to get a coupon that covered the first hour. I don't know if that's still available.

I think prior to that they had come out not very long before that because we had a flood in the laundry room that was actually a faucet that unusually sort of burst. Water was everywhere so they came and sorted that out for us as well. We have used them in the past before that even though they are not particularly local to us, but they come out and do a great job. We continue to use them.

They are always very prompt to answer a call and come when they say. They answer my questions and do a good job fixing everything up.

We have two drains that never seem to drain properly even with the slightest amount of water. They indicated that they could come out later today, but then they called back and said they could come out right away.

Lakeside's customer service was phenomenal! I really appreciated that they provided a specific time for the appointment (instead of a 3-hour window like most others), called before they left, and were ON TIME for both the estimate and service call. The technician who provided the estimate was very knowledgable, straightforward and personable. The office staff was also very accessible and responsive to discuss details of the quote and schedule the service. Both technicians who did the install were friendly and professional too -- very careful and considerate in moving the old water heaters out and new ones in our house. I felt Lakeside's price was very reasonable as well. I got a second quote that was very comparable but awarding Lakeside the business was a no-brainer based on their impressive customer service. Heather, in their office, was extremely helpful and responsive in setting up an appointment. Mike and John showed up promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem, located and obtained the necessary parts and fixed the shower. They were exceptionally pleasant, knowledgeable and considerate. I will definitely call Lakeside when I need a plumber.

Nick arrived with two water heaters, which were the wrong units, due to a fault of mine when requesting the estimate. I needed power vented units. Nick immediately took out his book and gave me a firm price, and sent his helper to pick up the new units. The work was finished in about 6 hours. They re-routed water lines, exhaust vents and gas lines, as part of the price. They replaced valves which were old, at no charge. Nick, Tom and Chris were professional and courteous . This is my new favorite plumbing company.

In the past month I've had water back up in the drain for my furnaces humidifier. Realizing there must be a blockage in the drain I had a plumbing company come out to rod it out. They were unable to get their flexible rod more than 5 inches down the drain and told me the cast iron pipe most likely had rusted and was closing up on itself. Their only solution was to break up my cement floor and get the rusted drain pipe replaced. I called Lakeside Plumbing that evening and left a message to have someone call and come out to give me a second opinion as breaking up my floor with a jack hammer wasn't appealing. Chris Jones, one of the owners, called me around 8:30 this morning and after explaining my situation, he said he could come out between 9-11 to take a look. He arrived at 10 and after looking at the drain and hearing what had previously been tried, he brought in a small hand router and after rodding the drain and using water pressure from my water heater drain outlet to test the floor drain flow he was able to open it. Chris is a pleasant guy who gets my vote for easy going efficiency and professionalism. I highly recommend Lakeside Plumbing and am glad I've found someone I can trust.

Called Lakeside this morning to let them know that the hot water heater that they installed in April, 2012, was leaking all over our laundry room. Water coming from the heater is no longer hot. When they got to our house they put on foot booties to protect our carpets. After examining the water heater, they determined that it was a manufacturer malfunction and indicated that they would install a new one. They said that the warranty on the water heater only included the cost of the tank itself, but not the labor to take out the damaged one and replace it. I was also told that federal mandates had required manufacturers to require more insulation on new takes produced in the last couple of years and that this new tank had more insulation would cost us $50 more including the labor. They even called the manufacturer in Michigan to see if they might make an exception, but they said no. I was not happy that we had to pay anything to have this tank replaced because it hadn't even lasted four years and we paid close to $1000 back in 2012. The guys were apologetic about having to charge, but that was the companies and manufacturer's policy. Again the consumer gets screwed for something that they had no control over. Something really needs to change in this industry regarding faulty products and not burdening the consumer. It's kind of like getting a slap across the face for something where you had no control. It's conceivable i might use them again, but I think I may shop around and see if the policies of other companies contain the same customer penalty. There isn't even an extended warranty that you can buy for a situation like this. I still like the attitude of the guys that did the work and I can't fault them for the policies of their company or the manufacturer.

We recently moved to the north shore and had to leave our awesome city plumbers behind because our new house was out of range. Since moving, we have tried a couple different plumbing companies but none that we would develop a long-term relationship with. Then the handle of our beloved Toto toilet broke and a shower valve fell off at the same time. So we called Lakeside Plumbing based on Angie's List reviews. First off, I really liked working with Margie over the phone. I offered to send her photos of the toilet number and also the shower valve that was wonky and she agreed to take a look. Might as well save time on both ends if parts are needed and then we could reschedule for a different day and save time and money. Margie was able to set up a service call with John for that day even though it wasn't an emergency. John called to let me know that he was running early (when do plumbers run early?!). He worked efficiently to fix both problems and was on his way. He was very friendly and professional (I have to call this out because since moving to the north shore, we have encountered some service professionals who do not work well with women homeowners). Price: It was maybe a little more expensive than other companies but I didn't price compare because on a small job like this I wanted it done right the first time. We will definitely call them in the future for plumbing issues. The only bummer is that I missed the coupon offer on Angie's List for first-time customers so make sure you check that out before you call.

Impressed with the team sent to handle our job. Friendly, clean, thorough, professional and happy to answer questions and recommend options. After replacing the pipe and fixing the obvious problem, the gentleman noticed some water spots that would indicate another leak source than the pipe. He inspected the area above and with permission cut into the wall to inspect the faucet fitting for the tub. Sure enough, 2 additional leaks discovered which were quickly fixed by tightening the connections.

I called Lakeside on Sunday evening when I noticed that my 12 yr old water heaters were leaking in my basement. I made an appointment for them to come out on Tuesday morning. LB and Brian were punctual and explained that in addition to installing the new water heaters, additional parts and labor were needed to reconfigure the heaters (which we had expected). They were very nice and extremely professional. They took away the old heater and left the basement area where they worked spotless. Wonderful service and quality work from Lakeside. I highly recommend them and will use them for any future plumbing needs.

I found water coming in from various places in my basement. I immediately called Lakeside and emailed them photos of the water in the basement. Despite it being close to closing time, Heather, Margie, Nick and team spent a lot of time on the phone with me discussing the issue. They requested additional photos to help determine the cause of the water and ended up diagnosing it as a sump pump issue. They offered to have the on-call plumber come out immediately and help. I am always incredibly happy with the service from Lakeside Plumbing. They always go out of their way to be helpful and when they come to the house, they're always on time (and they work quickly, neatly and efficiently). I highly recommend this company.

The two-person crew sent out by Lakeside Plumbing were pros. They figured out the problem and temporariiy resolved the issue. They also gave us an all-inclusive price for a new water that seemed fair, so we hired them to return two days later to install. While we weren't expecting to pay anything -- thinking that the pipes they installed 11 months earlier shouldn't have any issues -- the price they charged for the visit and temporary resolution to our water pressure problem was also fair, since it had nothing to do with their previous work.

The same two-man crew who had been at our home two days earlier to repair our shower valves installed a new 40 gallon water heater, replacing our 19-year-old one whose rust had clogged said valves. Same brand as our old one but in March 2015, the State of Illinois mandated that all water heaters be insulated...the timing was great. The pressure is fantastic and the water is super hot. We're thrillled! This was the third time that we hired Lakeside Plumbling and each time they've been total pros, exactly what you hope for when you seek out a vendor. We discovered the company through Angie's List and we're so happy we did! Highly recommend!

Crew was great and ontime. Pros who knew what they were doing. Completed in one day so we weren't inconvenienced. An addendum. 11 months later we called them again because the great water pressure we had been enjoying in our shower had been dissipating. They came out the next day and ascertained that rust had gotten into the valves...rust from our 19-year-old water heater! They were shocked that the water heater had lasted that long, explained that we needed a new one. They were able to clean the valves so we would have temporary water pressure till they came back out to replace the water heater, which was two days later. They took the time to answer questions and troubleshoot the issue so we have a game plan to rule out the problem before we open up the ceiling of our downstairs bedroom which is below the leak. John and Mike were friendly and great to work with.

Hired them to fix two faucets and to fix drip in sink. End result? Two faucets NOT REPAIRED and the skin still has a drip. Called and asked for owner several times but he never returned the call. It was a total was of time and $447.

Everything actually went better than I was anticipating. Service was prompt and everything done in a timely and professional manner. I have had Lakeside replace a water heater and make a shower faucet repair in the past all with the same type of quality service.
