Brent immediately got back to me after I made the initial call for more info. We made arrangements for him to come the next day to take a look at the job. Because there were a lot of logistics involved due to building the cabinet and relocating the stereo before hooking up the tv and other devices in our great room, we set the date for installation several weeks in advance and spanning two different days. Adam and Jimmy were the technicians involved in the wiring and installation of the work. They did an outstanding job. Even when there were a few snafus due to unforeseen circumstances, they worked until any issues were resolved perfectly. They arrived on time both days and stayed with the projects until they were completed flawlessly and I understood exactly how everything worked. They worked diligently and tirelessly, were always cheerful and completely professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Hooked Up Installs. Brent, Adam and Jimmy are all a dream to work with and they are very reasonably priced, as well. They are simply THE BEST!!!

These guys get it !From the first call, Brent and Hooked Up Installs were responsive, helpful, creative and friendly. The first call was literally the hardest part, as Brent came to the house the next day, gave me several great ideas, and had a quote to me the very next day. (I had checked out 2 other local providers, and both were much slower to quote and far more expensive) We scheduled the work, they arrived as expected with all the agreed upon materials, & the work was completed flawlessly (even though our home presented many structural challenges for Brent's crew). The best part was that the guys we had at the house (Ray, Mike, and Jimmy) went out of their way to treat the home, my family, and install as if it were their own. They made suggestions, solved minor problems with ease, and even came up with some great work arounds when our home's structure presented some real problems to our original plan. The follow up has been amazing post install, and the immediate response we have gotten from both family and friends that have enjoyed the results of the work have been.... Wow & What is their # ! Again....these guys absolutely get how to treat their customers, and will no doubt continue to do the great work that they so clearly enjoy bringing to their clients.

They were on-time and worked very quickly and did the work just as I expected. They even re-worked a speaker wire for no charge. I would highly recommend them.

I called Hooked Up about mounting two TVs on my walls. They were able to provide an estimate over the phone and came out to perform the work within one week. The price was very reasonable ($550 for both). They showed up on time and were very professional. The work took about 4.5 hours from start to finish. The TVs are perfectly mounted. Even though there were some challenges (such as where to mount the brackets), they came up with the right solutions. I am definitely planning to use Hooked Up Installs again.

Bret and his team were fantastic. I oringally wanted them to install 2 home theater systems in my new home. In the end they did this to an amazing result plus helped me understand what other things I could do in my home. For the surround sound, I have large built-ins that were not set up with power and cables when they were originally constructed. The guys hid wires, mounted speakers and even repaired a TV mounting that a previous installer had apparently done incorrectly without my knowledge and would have damaged my walls over time. They set up and configured my DirecTV, DVD plays, and all other components so that its easy to use and optimized. I also had them advise me on options for a throughout the home in-ceiling speaker system and ended up going with a Sonos system that has been amazing. It is super flexible and easy to use and although it was expensive my wife and I say all the time that it was totally worth it. Overall I would highly recommend these guys as they were professional, extremely knowledgeable and skilled. Doesn't hurt that they cleaned up at the end of each day and left the job looking neater than it was when they arrived.

I can only reinforce the other reviews -- my experience with Hooked Up was awesome. Brent called me right away to set up a meeting. He was willing to work around my work schedule and meet me later in the evening, and he presented me with an estimate very promptly. He worked with me to refine the estimate to meet my needs and budget. I approved it right away, and installation happened one week later. It was fast, professional and communication from start to finish was impeccable. Installation was done on a Saturday, and I suspect there were a few challenges that required the guys to take more time -- but they did so without complaint and were communicative the whole way through so I knew what was happening. I will definitely recommend Hooked Up to others, and am very impressed by Brent and the company he has built.

I emailed Hooked Up through Angie's list and Brent called me back. We immediately made an appointment for him to come to the house and see what we were looking for. Brent showed up on time on the date we set and was easy to talk to and we had a nice conversation about what we were looking for. We already had an existing universal remote and sub-woofer and we wanted someone to put surround sound in our ceiling and run all the cable so that we could install the TV over the fireplace, as well as actually put the brackets up and install it. We already had the TV. After our discussion, I received an estimate from him very quickly and we decided to go with Hooked Up. We were actually out of town for the first part of his job so he worked with the general contractor to set up the time to come and install the speakers and cable. After everything else was done with the remodel, they came back and put the TV up and got everything working. I have to say that this experience was FLAWLESS!! I would absolutely recommend Hooked Up for any installation/AV needs you have. I only wish we had known about them when we first moved up here!!

he BWe wanted to get a new TV as our existing one was an old, rear projection 52 inch. My wife wanted it mounted on the wall so I started doing research on installers using the web. I came up with Hooked Up Installs and went to their website, which was very nice and informative as to what they did. I then went to Angie's List to see if they were listed and saw that they were and had excellent ratings. I sent an email via Angie's List, indicating that I wanted to get a quote on installation. Brett responded promptly and that following Saturday came over and looked at what we thinking about. He was very knowledgeable about mounting alternatives, TV size (which he tied to how far from the TV we sit) and TV type, remotes, etc. I was always concerned about the mounting since I had heard about people who either did it themselves or had someone inexperienced do it with bad results. Brett told us about his business and how he started it and the fact that he had done many of these types of installations, which made me feel comfortable. He also informed us that his firm was a dealer for a number of consumer electronics lines so that, if we wanted, we could do everything through them, including purchasing the TV. We told him to provide a quote with the TV, radio remote and installation. That arrived in a few days by email and was very specific and easy to follow, breaking out the cost of the hardware from the cost of installation. For another week or two I continued to do research and also my wife and I went to ABT to look at the TV he recommended as well as others so we could satisfy ourselves that we agreed with his recommendation. We did but ended upon buying the TV at ABT since we had done a lot of purchasing of appliances with them in the past. At that point, I told Brett to redo his quote to exclude the TV, which he promptly did. After that I agreed to the quote and it was a matter of coordinating TV delivery and getting the Comcast HD/DVR and arranging a time with Brett. His team arrived when they said they would and spent most of the afternoon doing the install. My wife was there at the time (I was at work) and she indicated it went smoothly. There was only one unexpected issue--the rear in wall speaker, because of the way it had been mounted, could not be moved up over the TV so it had to be left where it was. Brett's team listened to the output with my wife and all decided that it was fine where it was. My wife said that Brett came towards the end of the install and reviewed the work. That night when I came home I looked at what was done and was very pleased--plus my wife showed me how to work the remote, which was not usually the way it worked in the past. We've been watching and using the equipment for several weeks now and remain very pleased with what Brett and his team did and would highly recommend Hooked Up Installs.

Brent was very responsive to my initial inquiry and put together a proposal that was customized to my home and our needs. On installation day, Ray and Mike were terrific -- they were very professional and took time to do the job right. They made sure we were comfortable with all of the equipment and Brent followed up the next day also.

I contacted Brent and within a few hours I had an appointment setup for him to meet me at our house within a few days. He was very easy to work with and had great ideas. After receiving the quote we decided to go with Hooked Up Installs. We scheduled the work to be done on November 8th at 9:00am. On that day, Adam and Ray showed up at 8:45am and were very pleasant to work with. They verified with me what work was to be done and where we wanted the speakers installed. These two men worked from the time they got to my house until they left at 4:00pm without taking a break. Throughout the install, they would check with me to make sure what they were doing is what I wanted. After everything was installed they even programmed my tv, playstaion 3 and Bose system (this is about a 15 minute process). My wife and I are very happy with the work performed. Brent and his staff are a great company to work with and would highly recommend them for any services they offer. Thanks Brent, Adam and Ray.

The service provided by Hooked Up Installs was excellent. They have excellent customer service and it is obvious that this is a high priority for the company. Brent was very responsive to my initial inquiries. I was given a range of equipment options and never felt as though any particular equipment was being pushed on me. They were more than willing to also integrate previously owned equipment into the system. They did a great job with the installation. We had one issue after the installation with the remote. Brent immediately got back to me about the issue, and it was quickly fixed at my first availability. They did an awesome job, and they deserve the overall A rating they have on Angie's List.

Brent was great and so were the two install guys. Brent responded to my initial inquiry almost immediately and even though they had never done a cell phone booster installation before, by the time the guys arrived they had read all about the equipment we had ordered and were well ready to do the installation. They were extremely professional in their manner (which I appreciated as they were working around me in my home office!) and took care of all the details, including bringing a vacuum to clean up from drilling through the dry wall to bring the cable through. They took extra time to consider various options on location of the equipment, and spent time on the phone with the equipment supplier to make sure we had exactly the right items. They even ran extra cable, including adding the necessary connector, across to another office so that when we purchase another panel antenna we can just connect it up without having to have them come out again. All in all a very good service experience.

Brent came to the house on a Saturday for the original estimate which was very helpful for my schedule. We discussed what was wanted and he made recommendations for speakers that fit the pre-wired home and also suggested the addition of a Blu Ray player. I had existing equipment and he was fine incorporating that into the project. I was pleased they didn't try to sell me something I did not need but responded with recommendations on what would work best. He provided an estimate by the next day and I agreed to proceed. I asked what deposit was needed and he said final payment was all that was needed at final install which was impressive to me since I was having the speakers painted at the factory to match the wall paint. It took only about 2 weeks for the order to be completed and we arranged a date for installation. Brent and his team arrived as scheduled. They had some issues with software for my older universal remotes but stayed until completion working out the issues. They were very cautious on the install to keep everything clean and put all furniture in place when done. Extremely satisfied with the product, their service, and just the way they did business. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Excellent. While my my was originally skeptical, she made the decision after meeting with Brent and his team. Their design and installation exceeded our expectations and desires. I guess we should apologize now to the neoghbors for the entertainment they will now be able to enjoy!

I went through a major house remodel and Hooked Up Installs was the best company I used through the whole project. I originally wanted a fairly high end home theater setup with a multi-room audio setup. Compared to other quotes, they blew away the other proposals and spent the money where it mattered most. I was so excited about some of the technology (and had a little room left in the budget), I expanded it to a whole house audio system. They were extremely easy to work with and both systems exceeded my expectations, so I decided to use them again on 2 smaller projects that I originally planned on doing myself.

Brent and his team from Hooked Up Install did a fabulous job to get our home automation system up and running very quickly. They worked with our timetable and provided quality equipment that we needed to complete the job. It was a pleasure to work with them and they took care to make sure we were satisfied.

Brent came over the day after we first spoke to look at my home and make recommendations. I had one HD TV and some other surround sound equipment that I wanted to use, and I asked for his input on the proper size TV that I should purchase for the second room. Brent made great suggestions on the models I should look at given what I told him I wanted to spend. When I found the TV I wanted and called Brent to make schedule a date for the install, he mentioned that through his dealers, he could get me the same TV at the price I had seen advertised at Best Buy, which I agreed to do. He emailed me a detailed plan including costs for the entire install, which was reasonable. Brent and his team showed up on time and worked an entire 12 hour day to get things installed. They had some unexpected challenges along the way: -one of the HD TVs was being installed over a brickfire place. Only after they drilled into the brick did they discover some issues behind the concrete that required a bit finesse to get the mount to hang correctly. -I initially decided to use speaker stands for the rear speakers. However, mid-way through the day, I decided I did not like the look and decided I wanted the rear speakers in the ceiling. Brent and his team did not flinch; they suggested a brand of ceiling speakers they liked and went out to purchase them along with the required wires, etc. and had them installed (without needing to cut holes in the ceiling, they ran the wires through the recessed lighting) by the end of the day. -they spent more than an hour trying to get one of the Comcast cable boxes connected and operating but were not successful. We did not learn until later that the cable box was faulty. A few days, after I picked up a new box from Comcast, Brent's team returned and hooked up the new box. Everything came in on-budget and as promised. I would HIGHLY recommend using Brent and his team. They were considerate in keeping our house clean - took off their shoes without being told given the snow and mud outside - and even joked around with my two-year old daughter who wanted to watch for parts of the day.

We were looking into installing a whole home audio-visual/home automation system, and had priced out several with some of the companies that were recommended on Angie's list. Hooked Up Installs impressed us from the beginning with their knowledge and enthusiasm. I will say that Brent seemed a little young to be running a company, but you have to remember that the world of high tech is a young person's world. He clearly knew his stuff inside and out, and his proposal seemed more comprehensive and thought out than the others, so we went with them. The installation took a less than a week, with only a few small holes cut into the drywall to fish the wires, put in the speakers, etc. We had an LED TV and in-wall surround sound speakers put in the family room, a second LED TV and in-wall speakers installed in the master bedroom, speakers installed in the dining room, kitchen, bonus room, master bathroom, and outside on the patio, and Elan G! touch control panels installed in the kitchen, master bedroom, bonus room, and master bathroom. All of this was connected to the tower in the basement through wires run through the walls. Brent and the team were prompt, courteous, professional, and clean. They even noticed we had a lot of wires running all over our kitchen office desk (computer, phone, cable modem, etc), and they ran the wires to a little shelf under the desk for no charge! We did run into a little snag, in that a ventilation duct was in the way of where some of the in-wall speakers were to be installed. However, Brent suggested and installed an audio bar that went in under the TV, and the sound is phenomenal. From this point, it took a little over a week to complete all the programming, and to make sure the system was running smoothly. Home automation systems require frequent tweaking to get it just the way you want it, so even more important than the initial installation are the programming, and the follow-up. As I said, Hooked Up did a great job with the install, but it is the post-installation follow-up and support that they have really impressed me. We have called/emailed Brent many times with questions or concerns in the months since installation, and he has always answered promptly. He has also returned for further tweaking of the system on several occasions, often the day after we contacted him! He has always worked on any issues we had until it we were satisfied, even if it required several visits. In conclusion, we could not be happier with the work that Hooked Up Installs did for us. Home automation/A/V systems are not cheap, and we did have some trepidation about the cost. However, we are very happy with the system, and extremely happy with Hooked Up Installs. Their knowledge, expertise, courteousness, and follow-up support have been superb, and we whole-heartedly recommend them for any A/V or home automation projects, big or small.

This is a very professional, knowledgeable and customer-service oriented team. They did a great job planning the space, and an excellent job implementing the plan. They are not the least expensive team around, but I think this is an instance of "you get what you pay for". They handle all of the details, source all of the supplies, install the system in a very professional and timely manner, and provide training on your new system. They were also very flexible in working with our remodeling contractor. I highly recommend them, and would use them again for any similar projects.

From start to finish the project could not have gone better. We were remodeling our home and thought we were going to go with a different company (a large independent retailer in the northern suburbs), but at the last minute received a quote for the project that was just not feasible and out of the scope for what we were looking for. I called Hooked Up in a panic at the last minute (at about 9 p.m.) and Brent actually answered the phone and listened to me describe the scope of the work we were looking to have done. Brent arrived the next day to scope out the project and later that evening he sent a detailed quote for two different options that we could choose from. We elected to go with Brent due to his outstanding responsiveness and ability to grasp exactly what we were looking to do with the project. He showed up with his team to do the prewire the following week and they were punctual and tidy. Throughout the project Brent was always responsive, taking my calls directly or returning them promptly, and proactively checking up as to when we would be ready for the final installation. When it was time for the installation they were again punctual, professional and tidy (cleaning up so that no mess was left behind). Brent came back an additional time after the installation to review how to operate the system with my wife and I. Brent is motivated and extremely professional - it is refreshing to spend money on a contractor that cares about running a quality business.

I sent Brent an email requesting a recommondation and estimate for a home theater installation. From the first meeting through the install the relationship was professional & courteous. Brent made it easy for me from recommending options for the size and shape of the space, to the purchase of the components after my selection, delivery and installation; a one stop shopping approach. The team did an excellant job and exceeded my expectations. Even though they have been in business a relatively short time, they could teach some of the more established businesses a thing or two. I highly recommend Brent and his crew.

The Hooked Up team did a great job. Brent is serious about excellent service and has been a great communicator and followed up well at all points. He was willing to do the consulting necessary to understand our initial needs as well as understand how we can transform the space over time as our needs and budget increase. Even when I needed to meet in the evenings to talk about the plan, this was no problem for him. The install team was professional, courteous, and very conscientious about making sure they cleaned up during and after. They handled the minor unexpected events that happen during projects like this by being well equipped and experienced. I have no concerns about recommending to others.
