Description of Work: I called Green Air Care to clean my furnace. They missed my first appointment that was scheduled, and apologized and offered to clean my air ducts for a discount. | |When they came to my property, they cleaned the air ducts for the price discussed. However, when they looked at the furnace, they basically examined it for one minute, and concluded that it needed to be replaced. I had purchased the home two months before, and my inspector found the furnace to be in fine working condition. Instead of cleaning it, the professionals wrote me an estimate for a new furnace, and assured me that "I wouldn't find a better deal elsewhere." | |Seeing this for what it was, I called Lakes HVAC (now known as One Hour Air Care) to inspect my furnace. They cleaned it, and found it to be in fine working order, just as my housing inspector concluded. They felt that I have at least five more working years with my furnace.

Description of Work: I took advantage of a promotional winter tune up. The technician did a thorough job. I was dreading it a little when I learned two workers would be in my home for the service as I knew then, the second would be here to provide a sales pitch. I wasn't crazy about that but he wasn't too offensive, was informative and the tune up did resolve some of the problems I had been having.

Description of Work: My air conditioner stopped working. A technician came out and said I needed a new blower motor on my furnace. He came out a second time and installed it, and I paid over $500 for the new blower motor. The air conditioner still didn't work. The owner of the company came out and said that the blower motor had blown the circuit board, but that replacing the circuit board would not help - I needed a whole new furnace. The had ordered a new circuit board, but never installed it, and they took out the old circuit board, so now there is no circuit board at all and no one can tell what they really did. They quoted me over $3000 for a new furnace, which is clearly a rip-off. These guys either don't know how to fix anything or have no intention of fixing anything. Do not let them into your home.

Description of Work: Not only did they clean out the vents but we had them install a couple of things. Very professional. Offered their opinions based on what they were seeing and recommended other options. We chose to go one route. Very pleased with them.

Description of Work: They cleaned our dryer vents. They had a little trouble finding our place, which everyone does and instead of getting angry or frustrated with us, they were very nice and understanding. They made sure the dryer functioned properly and not only cleaned out the dryer vents, but also explained to us what was causing them to become clogged. They were very professional, they wore heavy-duty shoe covers and washed their hands after the work was done. They were very kind and thorough. They may not have a lot of reviews just yet, but I would recommend them to anyone and you should have no qualms with choosing this company.

Description of Work: Green Air would not respond to repeated phone messages and emails to set up a time for service. Finally, after the 30 day window of opportunity for getting a refund from Angies List, I did request a refund. Angies informed me that I would only receive a credit to be used with another "recommended" contractor. After 1/31/2016, the $69.00 defaults to a credit with this so-called "recommended" contractor. Steer clear of this outfit and don't ever pay Angies List in advance for any service unless you already know the provider is reliable. |

Description of Work: They were the worst. Got them through Amazon local deal. Two kids came with a gas powered Machine. Cut hole in duct, but forgot the cover and tape they needed to fix it when done. Broke q window and dryer vent, and when I called company they sent me a form I had to fill out and have NOTARIZED! Total crap. When my furnace broke this summer, guys couldn't believe how dirty it was and didn't believe I had green air clean it just months before. Wretched.
