The large soffit on our 100+ year-old prairie-style house needed painting, as well as some minor carpentry repairs. The two painters from Drake did an excellent job on the repairs and painting, and finished the job in one day, as the estimator had predicted, for a very reasonable cost. They were conscientious, thorough, and a pleasure to have work on our house.

Outstanding, from time of quote to completion of work. Extremely professional and detailed, very clean, just great work, we will use Drake again for future projects. We had attempted to paint a bedroom on our own. The walls were fine, but the ceiling was an issue. We had some bubbling due to a humidifier - we sanded and painted, looked good initially, but then it bubbled up again, so we called in the professionals. Quote provided, with quick turnaround - for both the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom ceiling also needed some work as well, due to some water damage from an earlier leak from the vent fan (already repaired). Work took place over 3 days - and it simply outstanding. Bathroom looks great, bedroom looks great - ceiling in both in great shape. Highly recommended - start to finish, Drake did great work.

After some initial difficulties - work was not scheduled during time frame promised; the first painter Drake sent came to the house without paint samples, left to go to the Sherwin Williams store to pick them up and called an hour later to say he was sick and was not coming back - the job was done professionally, neatly and without issues. After each of the initial problems, I spoke with Courtney at Drake. She was extremely apologetic and worked hard to ensure the job would be done correctly. On October 9th, Sam and the painter (I don't have his name but he was terrific) arrived at the appointed time. Sam showed me paint samples, I selected one and he returned shortly with materials. While he was gone, the painter began sanding the metal surfaces. Sam left and the painter worked neatly and tirelessly from 9:00 until at least 4:00. He covered the porch surfaces with drop cloths and even made sure the nearby tree branches were covered with plastic. The metal railings look like new!

They've done absolutely wonderful work for us in the past, but they promoted their best painter to a supervisory role, and the work we received this time was very sloppy. They missed places, and even got paint in my sink. That was the last straw.

They have done a nice job and the people were pleasant to work with.

Drake does quality work at a fair price. Robert and his team were very professional and helpful they did a very good job. I used them twice (approximate cost is for both jobs) first time for painting 2 cars garage and some exterior area, second time they paint 3 doors and a kitchen wall. They did exactly what I requested them to do including patched and blemishes repaired. I am very impressed with the high quality of work that was done. I can?t really find no flaws in their work. They were always on time, careful not to harm any other things, and clean up before they leave. I would hire them again.

Drake prepped and painted most interior rooms and ceilings of our new home. They arrived about a week after the estimate in full force, may have been 5 men working at one time. Very professional. All the nails were removed from previous owner, patched and blemishes repaired. The entire job was done in 2 days. I am very impressed with the high quality of work that was done. I can really find no flaws in their work after being in the house 3 weeks now. Very clean lines, attention to detail, and well applied. I wish I could have afforded a second coat on additional walls, (this was an adder), so we picked the ones that were most visible or needed the extra paint and negotiated an adder. That was not the fun part. Overall very pleased. So glad we did it before the furniture was moved in. Easier on all of us, and I'm sure facilitated good job.

Vincent and John spent a total of 24 hours over the course of two days painting walls and window sills and window frames of my vintage one bedroom condo. Vincent and John spent the first day working on the project together and Vincent worked a full second day to complete the work. The condo hadn't been fully painted throughout in 8 - 10 years. The window sills and window frames needed to be smoothed out and painted. There was also water damage in the kitchen that they repaired very well. They were very professional and took on the project and listened to what I wanted to accomplish to get the condo in condition to be ready to put on the market to be rented out. I'm very happy with the condition it looks now. My vintage condo looks very refreshed with bright white window sills, window frames, and molding and a neutral tan color walls throughout the entire condo. I'm very happy with the results and appreciate the quality of the work that Vincent and John provided. I'd gladly ask them to do take on other paint projects in the future. Thanks!

The quote I received was not clear as it turned out something else needed to be done in the first place. Didn't arrange well, went thru multiple reschedules. The quality of work done was very good. Will use their services again in future.

Issues: 1. Ambiguous quote. I understood Drake's written quote, stating "1 coat primer and 1 coat finish" to mean 2 separate coats. Not so according to Drake; they say this means one coat that contains both paint and primer. 2. Messy. I told Drake I did NOT want the surface preparation add-on (sanding) but they did it anyway. And, they left a mess which I cleaned up on my time. My next project is having the house interior painted; no way they're getting that job. I told Drake not to call me again.

Both Jim and Jeff showed up on time everyday. They were super professional. The job site was cleaned up constantly throughout the day. If a section was sanded it was immediately vacuumed. If I noticed something and mentioned it they immediately addressed it. I will definitively use Drake Painting again for future project. The front office is very responsive for my emails on estimates. Great company to work with!

Excellent - complete some patching, did 2 coats on the wall, and painted the ceiling.

Drake does quality work at a fair price. We had some ceiling damage due to roof leaks and several walls need to be repainted, including an extra high ceiling in the foyer. We also needed a shelf restained. We were totally satisfied with the work that Drake did last year on the exterior of our home and brought them to do the repairs and touch up work in the interior. They are always on time, careful not to harm any furniture or photos, and clean up before they leave. I would hire them again.

Overall I was extremely pleased with the paint job Drake did. I had recently purchased the home and had them repaint the entire enterior, including 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, family room, and laundry room as well as some new external doors we had installed. We had 7 different colors and various finishes in the rooms. When they got started they were right on time, and were able to get the whole job down in about 4 days. Since the house was empty, I felt comfortable leaving them a key so they could arrive whenever they needed to without me having to drive out there every morning. That worked out great. If I had any negatives, it was that after getting an estimate and then calling to be added to their schedule, it was 4 1/2 - 5 weeks before they could show up. Understandable considering the time of year, but I thought it would have been nicer to have the timing nailed down a little firmer. I did get a call the Wed/Thur the week before they started, but it turned out that it was almost 2 weeks later before they could come. Nevertheless, I was happy with the result and the crew was very professional. I would definitly use them again.

The did an excellent job. Very timely. the arrived at 7:30 every morning to review things with me before I went to work for the day. They made sure that everything was protected and covered up as the removed the paper and painted. My ceilings are very high and they did excellent work. the previous home owner ran wallpaper boarder all the way up the wall to the ceilings. They did a great job painting. Before they were finished that had me inspect everything before the left the job. I would recommend them to anyone!

They were on time and did an excellent job. I had moved some stuff around and they moved it back. They did some patchwork and where very helpful. They didn't even take a break! Robert followed up with me to see if they liked the work they did, and the follow up was good too!

I purchased this as a housewarming gift for my son on 5/23/15. After eventually contacting my son, Drake didn't want to set a firm date of service. They told him they'd call the week prior to an available date and come sometime the following week, which isn't workable with my son's job. So my son agreed to wait FIVE weeks in order to get a specific date which was Friday, 6/26/15. Drake did call the previous night and confirm the appointment, address and the scope of the work. After all that, on Friday no one showed, no one called. After dozens of calls that went to voice mail, Drake eventually called back and said one of their contractors didn't show but they'd send someone on Saturday at 8:00 am. About 8:45 a guy rings my bell and announces he's here to paint...at the wrong address! Despite Drake confirming the appointment and address two days earlier, they sent him to the wrong house. I sent him to the correct address. After the Drake painter arrived, he surveyed the room and said he had to get "supplies". As my son already had all the paint, what else was needed? What PROFESSIONAL painter shows up without rollers, drop cloths and brushes? Drake painters, that's who. It was a horrible experience with the end result being that the walls were, for the most part, adequate although some touch up was needed. But paint also got onto the trim in some places and there was paint on the carpet! Total nightmare,

Did an absolutely superb job of prep, painting, and cleanup. Beautiful outside paint job and deck renewal and not a drip anywhere. They rehung some gutters that weren't sloping right and made some other minor repairs--no charge. Great, friendly, crew. I've used these guys before and I kinda worry each time because they're one of the only contractors I implicitly know will do a great job and I don't want to be disappointed if they've dropped their standards. Thank goodness they haven't! Top notch, 100% recommended.

There was trouble coordinating with them otherwise I was happy with them.

When I called for an estimate mid to late May, they were able to send John out right away. He was punctual and the estimate covered all the details I was interested in. There was a bit of a wait, about a month, but I took that as a sign that they must be good at what they do! They told me upfront the job couldn't be done until mid to late June and they did indeed start late June and took 2 days. The day of the job Matt and Jerry (i believe their names were) were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They showed up right on time, did a walk-through with me so they know what I wanted. I gave them my colors and they went to go pick up they paint. Since I'm really close to a SW store they said they'd grab a gallon of all my colors and just go back if they needed more instead of overbuying which I thought was a good idea. They worked very hard and were very respectful of my property. The worked really hard over both days. Part of the reason I wanted the job done by a professional was these two huge chipped patches of paint and a few other cracks. They did a great job on that - you can barely tell it was there, so I'm really happy. There were a few really minor things I didn't even notice until a few days after they left. One very small and somewhat hidden area where there was a little of the green wall color on the white trim, one was an area around the trim where the paint was fully coating. My walls are old so I know that was definitely part of it. So, I emailed them, just with the feedback, not asking for anything but they insisted they send someone out. They were able to do so right away which was impressive. It was a little awkward because it was the original painters so I felt like I had tattled on them or something but they were nice about it and fixed the small issues right away and didn't leave any mess.

The deal was for 1 painter for a day. I needed two bedrooms painted and RUBEN did a fantastic job. He was efficient, professional and finished in good time.

I thought they would help with drywall and then they called and said they would have someone come out between 8-11 today to look at the project. They came out and they asked where we wanted the painting to done and they asked for the paint. I expected them to initially tell me what type of painted that I needed I needed to first. There were some communication issues and I felt like the employee was very rude. Things started out well and we had several phone calls and this was not a pleasant experience.

It went good. They were reasonably priced. They did a good job painting. They were pretty fast.
