Description of Work: Drake Painting removed wallpaper from three rooms and then painted the same three rooms. I'm pleased with the overall result. That said, there are a couple of areas that I think would need to be improved before I would use them again or recommend them. |Their estimate was the lowest of the three providers from whom I received estimates. I received a quote on June 1. I was contacted the week of June 25th and told that I would receive a call from the foreman who would be doing my job the following week. When I had not heard from anyone I called on July 2nd to inquire what was going on. I received a call on July 3rd telling me that my job would be next week, but they couldn't commit to a specific date. When I told the woman that I would cancel the job before I would go thru another week of not knowing, she committed to calling me back. A few hours later, she called me to let me know that the painters would be at my house on Wednesday. I did receive a call on Tuesday night from Todd, do arrange an arrival time. Todd and Jake arrived on time. |I was pleased with the work that was performed and the place looks great. Todd did a good job skim coating two walls that previously had been covered with 12" x 12" mirrors. The wallpaper removal ended up being more difficult adding a day. When the job was completed, I was left with the task of washing the floors in all three rooms, wiping down the baseboards to remove dust from sanding, and cleaning out my cabinets to get rid of wallpaper pieces that had fallen between the cabinet doors and the frames into the cabinets. |So while I would give Drake an "A" for their workmanship, I was not pleased with the poor communication and failure to live up to their promise of timely contacts, and the fact that Todd and Jake really didn't do a very good job of cleaning up after themselves.

Description of Work: Tony came out and estimated the work to be done... I have a problem in my entrance stairway and he explained exactly what would have to be done... Being a painter's daughter I not only knew what he was talking about but knew he knew what he was talking about... | |I am now awaiting his estimate ...

Description of Work: Extremely disappointed. I thought they would do a good job painting exterior after seeing the positive ratings on Angie's List. Scheduling was difficult. Painter left paint chips all over roof and in gutters and did not paint all areas requested. They wanted more money to paint the high spots! Sale of home was impacted as home inspection noted house needed painting and gutters needed to be cleaned out. I should call the BBB.

Description of Work: I was originally contacted by email to provide three dates that I would like the painting done. They were not able to come on those dates. Later I was told that I'd gotten pushed back due to a big job that came in for them. I was told that they'd perform the work before the end of the month but I have not heard from them and I was told that they usually call people the Thursday prior to set up dates. I heard nothing last Thursday. I don't want to wait any longer since I have family coming into town from far away for my son's graduation.

Description of Work: I had a miscommunication with this contractor regarding the date of service and wound up missing a day of work on a Friday . Instead of fighting with me, the owner came to my condo the next day (a Saturday) and painted the rooms himself. He was extremely professional and polite. Excellent service.

Description of Work: Drake was absolutely AMAZING. They painted my entire home before we moved in. Very complex job, that I used my floor plan and labeled every wall with style number for the colors. They got it 100% correct, and the work is beyond my expectations. The did all trim. Doors, crown molding as well. Could NOT be happier and would recommend to anyone looking for quality work and a professional, courteous company.

Description of Work: Drake was very engaged in the history of the home, identifying material specific issues and the reason for what they were identifying needed maintenance or not. Bottom line - I liked their professional approach and the clarity in their estimate. Compared to others received - I am extremely pleased with their price and am looking to confirm details presented in their estimate were or were not included in the other estimates received (apples to apples comparisons). Very thorough.
