Terrific. Dan and Drake were so easy to work with -- from setting up the estimate through completion. Work is top notch and absolutely the best quote we got -- half what some guys wanted. And we could not be more pleased with the work: the team was prompt, fast and neat. We want to have a little more work done by them, actually.

The painter did a very professional job and cleaned up every day before leaving. Arrived when he said he would and worked hard all day. I was impressed that he could do such a neat job painting freehand - no tape.

Always on time. Always cleaned up. Professional and skilled. And best quote we received of 5 bids for the job. Most importantly, I valued Dan calling to make sure we were satisfied and doing a few small tweaks to the work even several weeks after we had settled up.

In the spring, Drake did an amazing job in our family room (fixing holes from electrical work, painting, etc.). They also transformed an ugly "stone" fireplace by patching and painting it (cement gray to white). Unfortunately, we had chimney work done this fall by another company and when they removed the old chimney (which backed the fireplace wall) they obviously used a sledgehammer in their demolition, which caused cracks and chipping on the inside, both on the "stone" and the drywall. Needless to say, we were upset and disappointed. I called Drake and even though they normally take time off during the holidays, they accommodated my schedule and offered to come out the week btw Christmas and New Year. John was on-time and patched, sanded, primed and painted everything. We were extremely pleased - it looks great again! Have always found the team at Drake to be a pleasure to work with - their prices are fair, they are responsive, on-time, do great work and seem like really good guys. Will definitely use them again in the future.

It's always a pleasure to work with the team at Drake Painting. Since these were exterior shutters, no one had to be home, so they were able to stop by within a week of my call to estimate the job, and started the job very quickly. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and the price.

Their service was good. They were very courteous. They took a little bit longer than we were told, they said it would take a day and a half and it ended up taking 3 days. There was one guy so I can see why. Overall we were very happy with the finished product and everything. Their price was very good. He was there right on time.

I didn't like the quote they gave because the price they offered was too high. I will grade them high across all categories except for the price.

Absolutely wonderful. They were quick to return my call, provide a free estimate and schedule the work all within one week. They were clean, quick & meticulous about cleaning up after they finished.

Great! Having drywall patched and sanded is never a pleasant job, but Matt did a great job of keeping the dust to a minimum. He was very pleasant and easy to work with and did a great job - we highly recommend him. The room had been a very dark blue and we had started to prime it, but never finished. Electrical work (removing can lights, running new conduit and adding outlets) had left us with at least 12 holes of varying sizes that needed patching. And to top it off, we had an ugly cement gray stone fireplace wall (floor to ceiling) that was depressing to look at. Matt did an amazing job of transforming this space from a room we hated, to a room we now enjoy. He came back to do a few touch-ups, but there are no flaws at all - everything looks great!

Dan provided a prompt estimate, we adjusted it to add a second coat and apply the Angie's list discount. They are somewhat on the expensive side, and the second coat cost more than I expected, but they wait in between coats for the paint to thoroughly dry, and do a better job. The start of work was somewhat delayed by weather, but not exceedingly. The painters were neat, and the job was done in a very professional manner. Very satisfactory result.

The guys are punctual, they leave very little for me to clean up and they call with questions and even when I have left notes they followed through with my requests.

Dan was able to come over just a few days after I called him and gave us what I thought was a reasonable quote. Then within a couple of days his crew showed up and did a great job. There were no problems. I wish that all people in the home improvement and repair industries were as good as Drake Painting.

They painted the upstairs and downstairs. They painted the rooms, bathrooms and basement. They also painted the trim and ceiling and it went very well. We had different companies that came in and gave us quotes and they gave us the best price, so we went with them. Dan is the owner and he was very responsive to all our questions and phone calls. They were able to accommodate our schedule by sending out an extra crew to help as we were trying to get the work done in a very narrow schedule. There was one room that we were not sure was wood paneling or wall paper and they came out and figured out it was wood paneling and gave us an estimate. They also gave us an estimate to put in a dry wall as it was only discovered in the middle of the project. They needed an extra day or two to finish the work. They did a great job and we are pleased with them. They also gave us an estimate for the exteriors that we will do later this year.

I thought the crew from Drake Painting & Wallpaper were very good. I had no problems with them at all. They cleaned up after themselves. I would use their services again in the future if needed.

Dan gave me the estimate. He is really friendly, and easy to talk to. Matt did the actual painting and did an awesome job. I had just installed new carpeting and Matt made sure to keep it covered. The job was finished exactly when I was told it would be. I also had wall paper removed and Matt did a great job with that also. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting great work at a fair price!

They did a good job. They cleaned up nicely after themselves. They needed to do 2 coats on the ceilings. They came at the time they said they would. They knew what needed to be done.

Dan, the owner, was very professional from our first meeting: an estimate was given within a day or two as promised, he brought many samples of faux finishes for us to review and pick from, and was excellent at follow up. His crew was here for a week and a half - they were very pleasant, professional, quality workers. Dan helped pick the appropriate shade of green for the family room, which turned out great! They painted color samples for us in order to view them in the room prior to painting - no additional charge. The head painter, who was the faux finisher, worked with me to help me choose the correct shade and look for the faux finish. They spent a lot of time getting the walls prepared for painting, which indicated to us a focus on quality. The painting and trim work were done with an attention to detail. We could not have been happier with our choice of company and crew and will certainly be calling them again!!

The guys did a great job! They arrived each of the two days right on time. They prepared the rooms for painting putting tarps and protective film everywhere and used painters tape throughout the process. They asked me questions several times during the two days and completed requests for some additional things that were not on the estimate. For the small requests that took little time, they didn't charge me anything. They were very professional and I would not only use them again, but also recommend their services to friends.

The painter showed up on time every day and was professional. Except for a few runs the quality of the work was excellent. On his own he re-did one previously wallpapered wall to make sure it was smooth and went back over an old water stain to thoroughly cover it. The trim work was done very well. The job was done neatly with no paint on furniture or carpet. I would have like to have seen a more thorough clean up (such as going over the carpet/flooring with a vacuum to pick up dust and paint flecks) but this was not listed on the estimate and may not be something that is routinely done.

The price was just under $1,000. I cannot compliment them enough. They did such a great job that I am going to have come back and do my front room. I thought they were a little expensive, but after they did the work, it was well worth it. Everything was done beautifully and on time. They were even early for the job. I have hired them again and even took their business cards and am recommending them to others.
