I have used them for many things and they are excellent. I would rate them high overall. Their prices were reasonable. They also helped us to match the paints and flooring. They are pretty good and I am very happy with them. I would use them again in the future.

The experience was very positive from start to finish. When Dan came to quote the job, he took his time walking through the house with me and took very detailed notes. When the quote came back (the next day), all the details were provided in the quote, in writing. Having had bad experiences in the past, I cannot tell you how valuable it is to have a detailed quote to prevent arguments about what exactly should have been done. Anyway, the quote was slightly higher than what I could afford so I worked with Dan to get the price down (I removed wall paper and old shelving units instead of having his crew do it). When the work started, I swung by the house to meet the foreman, Eric, who was friendly and professional. I did a walkthrough with him to show him potential problem areas he assured me he would take care of them. He and his crew did a stellar job. They did all the little things that often get overlooked like replacing old outlet covers. They even through in a few extras at no charge - he rerouted a coaxial cable for me and installed some heatings grates. The price was not the cheapest quote I received, nor was it the most expensive. I feel like the work they did far exceeded the price they charged and the extra few hundred dollars was money well spent.

This is the second time I've had Drake Painting decorate this year. The first time I had wallpaper removed from my master bedroom and painted the bedroom, hall and bathroom. I was very pleased with my experience. I had Dan come back to estimate work for the rest of the condo. They were able to get the work done in 2 days, this made the project much easier for me. I plan to have them back to do the second bedroom and possibly the kitchen cabinets. Dan is very responsive and his estimate right on. Daruk and the crew are master painters and movers. They had to move several very large pieces of furniture and everything was put back in place beautifully. They are respectful of neighbors and work very quietly. I will recommend their services to my friends and family.

I really enjoyed my experience with this company. They were responsive and professional. They moved all the furniture and put it back in the exact location after finished. The paint job is very good quality and we are very happy with the result.

Dan promptly returned my voicemail almost immediately! He also promptly arrived at the house to evaluate the job, and was very polite and professional. As promised, Dan sent over an estimate for the job early the very next morning. Rafael and his assistant showed-up each day on-time and ready to work. Rafael was very helpful in helping us pick out the perfect colors. Overall, we had a great experience from start to finish, and are very pleased with the end product. I would absolutely use this company again for additional projects, and would highly recommend this company to others!

Dan came over to give me an estimate the day after I called him. When I emailed him to tell him I'd like him to do the job, he called me back the following morning with one foot out the door as he was taking his family on vacation. We arranged for a week later as my stairs were not quite ready. On the arranged date three people showed up to get started as staining and varnishing is a long tedious job. While they sanded the stairs and railings, one person took one of our pieces of furniture to a paint store to custom match the stain. The crew worked around us and were very accomodating. The whole job took 3 days. While the varnish was drying they put up a drywall board behind the stairs and painted it. They put up plastic aroound the stair area so the house wouldn't get too dusty and made sure that everything was neat when they left. The stairs are beautiful and we are very happy with the finished product. We would definitely use Drake Painting again.

Interior: Our home has been in our family for 50+ years, and the entire upstairs has not been worked on since the 70's. There was severe plaster damage due to exterior stucco resurfacing and a new roof, as well as lack of attention for over 30 years. The plaster walls were cracked, there were even holes in places, the ceiling was coming down, and the staircase to the upstairs showed wear of furniture banging into it. The worst was a closet that had a hole in the ceiling, gaps around structural elements (i.e, the fireplace bricks), and all surfaces were scratched, dirty, and uneven. Upon completion of the job, one could say that the entire 2nd floor was brand new. All wall surfaces were smoothed out, repaired, refastened, and painted beautifully. The closet was a dream, and they even went so far as to match the baseboards to the room (it's a walk-in closet). The crew even worked through the entire Labor Day holiday to wrap up the project because I was going out of town the Tuesday after labor day. Exterior: The exterior of the house and garage had just finished getting a facelift, and the details of them needed painting. They did an outstanding job of sanding down 100 years of paint/repainting to ensure smooth surfaces on the garage, woodwork and window/door details. They also matched the stucco and window trim perfectly. This was a huge project and every one of Drake's personnel were courteous, nice, on time, and respectful of my time and property. Every day, they set my expectations and not only met them, they exceeded them.

Really had a good experience. Dan was VERY responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. The crew was efficient and effective. They did a nice job of protecting my personal belonging and were neat and clean. Price was reasonable (compared to other quotes I received). Will use Drake Painting again!

We had used Drake before on another house and when we bought this house and it needed the entire inside painted, we called Dan. We had a short time window between close and the move in date. Drake was able to put on a double crew and finished the job with a couple of days to spare. The crews were on time every day and were very professional. They did a great job for a very fair price. I highly recommend them for any type of paint job. We will definitely use them again.

Dan and Bob were great and easy to work with. Dan returned our call within a few hours and arrived as scheduled to give us an estimate. His estimate was far less expensive than the other A rated Angie's List painters so we were slightly hesitant at first. However, since he's an A rated provider with great reviews we decided to go with his services and are happy that we did. Dan and I worked through several painting options and he returned every single phone call or e-mail the same day. Bob was our painter and he was terrific. Bob was at our house the same time everyday, easy going, personable, and cleaned up after himself before he left at the end of each day. We asked for additional trim to be painted and he did it without issue. There were a few minor blank spots that were not covered when we replaced the outlet covers, and Bob not only touched them up but double checked the rest of the walls to make sure he was happy and satisfied with his own work (he repainted some areas). We would absolutely recommend and use Drake Painting again. Quality work at a great price.

Dan called right away and drove over to look at the house while I was at work. I had a proposal emailed to me the next day and was able to schedule work within two weeks. Dan worked with me to schedule for my day off so I would be home from work to make sure that they could work on the front door. He was very responsive about calling me back within 24 hours of any call. I just went to the store and chose my colors and they started work. The foreman even called me to double check the color as it was a different color than what was currently on the house. They were quick, clean, professional, and efficient. And now the house looks great! I would completely recommend Drake to anyone looking to have painting done!

Everything was great. The estimator was thorough. He helped me understand the costs of each portion of the job, so I could make an informed decision that yes we'd like to repaint the upstairs ceiling, and it would be worth it to repaint the trim, but we could get by with just touching up the downstairs ceiling. I found his willingness to talk through the options very helpful, and he was not pushing for all the work he could get. When the painter showed up to do the job, he was extremely polite, professional, and efficient. It was a perfect paint job, everything looked just right. He was very thorough when cleaning up.

Dan kept us informed of possible start dates (weather dependent). Once started the crew, headed by Eric Lasota was on time and focused. Very easy to work wtih. When they completed the windows, they cleaned them before reinstalling the storms. They always left the premises clean at day's end. The prep work was good overall, and great in some places. The final job was very good. On a scale of 10, I give it an 8 or 9. And the house never looked so nice!!! I can absolutely recommend Drake's for exterior work. Very professional, from the estimate from Joe to the actual job done by John and Steve. They worked hard in extreme heat, did a great job, very clean and very nice guys. They repaired some doors that had some rotting and did an excellent job. They were very careful with my house, inside and out. I will definitely call them again.

They crew was extremely professional and very detailed oriented. They looked at each others work to tell where to go over. They caulked every spot that needed on the garage door. Their prep work was outstanding. Dan helped me pick the color. The color we pick was absolutely perfect for our color change. I am completely thrilled with their work.

From choosing colors to scheduling and the actual painting, Drake was great. Excellent estimating by Dan the owner and fantastic workmanship by Bob the painter. Very responsive and professional! Highly recommended!

Everything from the estimate to completed work was perfect. Joe was punctual, mindful of the fact that my husband and I both work and needed to leave the house early and finished the job within the two days estimated. I can't believe he got it all done in 2 days because it was a lot of work. Their price was very reasonable as well.

The overall experience was very good. There were a couple of scheduling hiccups at the very beginning, one day didn't show when they were suppose to but that was because the had an outside job that had been delayed by weather. Once the crew got settle the were very responsive, on time and cleaned up each evening. We were really pleased by the quality of their work. We added some items after they started and they handle those, no problem. We had a couple of issues with some areas, which they quickly fixed. They were very pleasant to work with and have told us, if we find any other problem they would be happy to come back. Its been about two weeks and no problems. We are selling our house and more than one realtor has commented on the nice work. We picked Drake because they were recommended on Angie's list and the had the lowest quote. I sometimes worry when taking the lowest quote, but not in this case. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job.

A very good experience with Drake right from the start. The estimator Joe was professional and responsive. Price quoted was the best of the three we obtained. Three man crew finidshed the job in three days. The crew arrived on time and did good work. Painted samples of a few colors on our walls to help us make the final color decisions. Only concern on the first day was that a hardwood floor near the entrance was not being properly protected. I brought up this concern to Joe and the area was better protected on days 2 and 3. After finishing the work on the third day the crew did their best to vacuum the work area. I plan to have my exterior cedar siding restained in 2012 and I intend to have Drake back as one of the contractors to bid that work.

Outstanding. Quality people, quality workmanship, on time and on budget. Owner Dan Malenfant was courteous, knowledgeable, reliable and contributed ideas that saves us money. Chris Young headed a crew of 4 painters who always arrived on time, worked quickly and amiably, and cleaned up well. They were able to move some heavy furniture and nothing was damaged. Where some wood exterior trim had rotted, Chris discussed our options and made sound recommendations. He was flexible about the changes in scope of work: skip the garage doors, paint the back door, paint the bedroom a different color, etc. All the painters did fine work cutting in on windows and walls. Chris did a masterful job of finding mahogany trim and trying various stains to get the best match with our fifty year old mahogany wall. There were no surprises in the final bill and our home looks fresh and new. A fine company which I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Outstanding workmanship and professionalism. Prompt response to the initial inquiry and frequent follow-up leading to scheduling, as well as during the job. Crew included a lead that managed the job to perfection. The quality of the preparation and job were outstanding. The house looked outstanding - I am delighted with the work. Extra attention was given to repair of the front door prior to painting which was in poor shape, as well as attention to not disrupt the bird's nests nearby with baby birds. I would highly recommend Drake and will definitely look forward to working with them again.

They hire sub-contractors. A couple of months after they performed the work, their were drywall cracks that appeared because they didn't use a mesh. They came back out and fixed the problem. Then, a few months later, more crack appeared! They told me to wait for a few more months to see if any more would appear. We never did reconnect to have the worked fixed.

They performed the work in a professional manner as per their quote. I was VERY pleased.
