I booked the flat rate "big deal" for two painters for a day, which is an INCREDIBLE deal. Before I found this deal on Angie's List, I had another company come out to give a non-flat-rate estimate - and it was triple what I got through this deal. Although I had a good amount that I wanted painted, the guys talked through and helped me prioritize to make sure we got done the things that I most likely couldn't do on my own (e.g., the 20" walls in the stairway, painting the dark wood white). They were able to do one large family room - walls, crown molding, trim, window trim, door, etc. -- the 20" stairway and wrap around hallway, as well as touch up other rooms in the house where we had painted on our own. I was very impressed at their expedience... and they were both cool guys who were professional and genuine. We will definitely use them again for our future painting needs.

He did a great job, very conscientious about what they are doing. My wife and I are very pleased. They hand scraped the loose paint, a previous painter was going to use a pressure washer, and we are appreciative of the process he used.

They were prompt and profession, and I am happy with the outcome, and anxious to see what the wallpaper will look like when it is finished.? I would to recommend to meet with them and get an estimate

I had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out really good. He did a great job. They did a good job, they were reliable, they showed up when they said they would show up, I didn't end up with any additional charges, so all in all, it was exactly what it should have been. The price was fine, I don't have anything to compare it to.

I purchased a Three-Painters for a Day deal from Drake Painting to paint several rooms in an apartment I own. I wanted to confirm availability before I purchased the deal, and Dan was very responsive to calls and e-mails. That level of responsiveness is actually why I ended up going with this company. Dan is very on top of it and lets you know that he appreciates your business. They were able to get a crew out to the apartment the very next week. The crew was only 2 guys, so one of the guys came out for a second day to finish up the work and fulfill on the "3 painters" deal, which I think was very fair. Also, the crew was able to come early in the morning so that I could still make it to work on time. Overall the quality of the work was great and the price was a good deal for the amount of wall space that they covered. I will definitely be using this company for my next painting project.

Outstanding customer service from this company! They were very responsive to emails/calls and our request to getting a quote and getting the work done quickly. Quoted on Monday, work started on Thursday and completed within 4 days. Painter crew of 3 started promptly. They were professional and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. The foreman kept us informed of work progess along the way and provided good suggestions for some of the work we wanted done. We couldnt ask for a better job well done! They met all our expectations ... from customer service, professionalism and quality of work. We will definately use this company again and certainly refer them to our family and friends.

They were to come out and have it done in 3 days, with 4 workers. It took them a week to finish it, and they only sent 2 guys. They did a good job. The manager was efficient. He followed up by coming out here to check on the work. The owner called constantly to see how things were going.

It was alright. They do adequate and good work.

It went very smooth. 2 painters arrived, set up, and promptly started working. I had already bought the paint, and they made some suggestions to patch a couple of cracks in the ceiling that made a great difference in appearance. They made a couple more suggestions for appearance that was appreciated and looked great! They worked through lunch and did a great job.

Were very accommodating with my color choices and making decisions on the fly. Drake increased the size of the crew to accommodate my move in schedule. Very complete and professional job. I would definitely return to them when seeking this type of professional service in the future.

It was easy to schedule an appointment. We wanted the high ceilings painted but only the walls were painted. The painter was clean and professional. All of the areas were cleaned up very well. The painter was on time, called ahead to state he was on his way, and very professional. The walls look very professional.

excellent communication. provided recommendations, did the job well. although a few days over estimate, it was acceptable as they communicated to me prior with honesty and admit the job was more difficult than originally thought, which I agreed. the quality was excellent. I will use again.

The whole process went very well except for the one small window they missed. We didn't even notice it until we were packing up the deck furniture, etc. for the winter. No messes anywhere during process, couldn't even tell they were here and working at the end of the day. My only concern is it was done during the extremely rainy period last fall so have to wait and see how well it lasts.Would recommend them to anyone.

Overall, work was done satisfactory; the two doors were spray painted Red with 2 coats each. There were a few reasons why I did not give Drake A rating. First, they were a little sloppy and accidently dripped red paint on my concrete sidewalk. Also they did not tape the side door of my garage very well. Red paint was sprayed on my garage floor and foundation. They tried to clean up the paint but some was left for me to remove. Second, the workers knew beforehand that a 4x8 foot section of drywall was needed to patch my garage ceiling. But when they arrived, they did not have it and had to run to the hardware store to buy it. This wasted over an hour of time.

They were very good. They did an excellent job. They were very punctual calling back when we called them. They were very nice. They came out right away and gave us an estimate. They called us back a few days later which they said that they would and they did. We had set-up an appointment. We actually kind of played phone cat with messages about the time and then, I called back and told them the time was good. It was just an overall very good experience with them and we would definitely have them again.

I originally contacted Drake for an online estimate - given the service I was requesting was very small (two small accent walls to be wallpapered) I didn't want to take the time and effort to have someone come out for a full consultation or estimate. I found their prices to be competitive with the others I sought out (actually better). The gentleman who performed my wallpapering did a good job lining up the patterns and making sure it was centered on the wall. Overall, very pleased.

Overall a job well done... I may be a hard grader but only because I've done a lot of painting and have high expectations. The price seemed right for the amount of work, although I wouldn't normally spend this much for work I can do myself. We got one other quote that was about $500 higher, but placed reliance on all the quality reviews. Two guys completed the work in about two full days and two half days (Thursday to Monday); it was estimated to be three full days so just make sure you communicate if there needs to be more or less flexibility in scheduling (one of the guys came in Saturday morning so they could finish up early on Monday). There were touch-ups to be done which they quickly did so just make sure you inspect closely or do a walk-through with them afterwards. Clean-up was generally pretty good at the end of each day.

They painted while I was out of town. They were good about keeping in touch, and sent me photos of questions they had. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. The painting looked great. Four months later it is holding up perfectly. I would use them again.

Everything was great. I stayed home from work the first day he was there. Then I went back to work. He was very pofessional. I would recommend them to others and will use them again in the spring.

ndThe owner was very prompt to come out and give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable and lower than the second estimate so I went with him. I was told that I would have the work done by Thanksgiving and if they couldn't start until Thanksgiving week they would have big crew who could finish it by Thanksgiving. A second person called me on a Thursday and said they would be out early Monday morning of Thanksgiving week so I arranged my schedule to be home that morning and got everything ready. Sunday night a third person called me and said they would not come out until Tuesday and would not finish til after Thanksgiving. When I complained he said he would call the scheduler and see if they could get a bigger crew who could finish that week. He called me back and no that they were too busy. I felt I had been mislead and did not like the fact that the owner was not aware of what was going on so I emailed him and told him I was no longer interested. To his credit he called me back and said he could get a crew out there later that day and get the work done but by then I had hired someone else and could not wait around all day for the crew to arrive. I like to hire people where the owner or manager stays involved throughout the process and this was not the case and I was mad because I could have had the work done by someone else and finished by Thanksgiviing without all the hassle.h

There was some confusion concerning the schedule, which could have been bad, as I had a tight timeline. However, the painter went out of his way to make it work out. We are very happy with the results, and even happier that they accommodated our schedule.
