Description of Work: We have a custom build large cedar gazebo that needed the final steps: stained and sealed and steep roof washed and sealed (only after a year before, the gazebo was hand scraped and washed). Also included were the staining and sealing of multiple custom screen frames. |Individual specialists came and worked on the multiple steps. All craftsmen were professional and had a well versed knowledge of their respective tasks. |End result: we are very, very pleased with our beautiful gazebo - and enjoying in these summer nights.

Description of Work: Painted some exterior doors and stained and sealed the cedar shakes on house and garage. Great work! Dan was very responsive and the painting team was great!

Description of Work: I purchased the special 2-painter flat rate package and was quite pleased. The owner was very responsive to questions and calls prior to scheduling, and the painters arrived on time. During the time allotted, they were able to paint 2 coats of paint (2 different colors) in a very large bedroom with cathedral ceilings and wood trim, as well as prime spots and paint my kitchen ceiling. I had hoped to have more done during that time, but some time-consuming repair work was needed on the bedroom walls, which I had not been aware of before booking the deal. The painter offered to do the work without the repairs if I preferred, but highly recommended them and showed me exactly where the repairs needed to be done and why. I believe his assessment was entirely honest, so I chose to have the repairs completed, even though that meant they would not be able to do as many areas as I was originally hoping for during the allotted time. The end result was professional work at a very good value. I am very satisfied and would use Drake Painting again.

Description of Work: The wallpaper removal that I contracted for was not completed due to a scheduling conflict. This provider requires at least 7 days lead time. It is imperative that sufficient lead time be granted and both parties effectively communicate either verbally or in writing the goals and expectations needed to achieve mutual satisfaction

Removing wallpaper from living room especially difficult as painted on wallpaper over plaster had to be chipped off. All surfaces had to be skim coated and sanded before painting. Two or three coats of paint. They were here for about 2 and one half weeks. Once started they continued straight through; none of this starting and going to other jobs. Inevitable drips here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary based on scope of job. Sam and Sergio promptly fixed anything pointed out to them. One week after completion of job some paint started peeling from living room ceiling. Sam returned to repair, no questions asked. Still holding! Estimate was comparable to others received.

Description of Work: I used the big deal of Drake Painting & Wallpaper Co. He took the wallpaper off from the wall for three hours.

Description of Work: We got a quote to remove wallpaper and paint. We have only had them remove the wallpaper thus far but we will have them paint when we are done remodeling. They did everything we asked them to do and were very flexible with my schedule. Would recommend them again.

Description of Work: I had reviewed Angie's List to identify a qualified company to paint the interior of my 2500 sq. ft. townhouse. Drake provided the most reasonable quote with exceptional service. Their flexibility was outstanding as I asked them to split the job in thirds: first floor, second floor, walk out basement over the period of a month. This allowed me to move all my books, knick knacks, paintings to the other floor and set up "house" for the 2-3 days required for them to move all the furniture; cover everything; patch; paint walls and trim; move everything back in place to my satisfaction. Big job!!! Each evening, the work area was tidied up and their materials left in closed bins on my porch - all very professional. Work was completed on time and on budget/ quote. I have already recommended Drake and my particular painters to my neighbors. Very pleased with 1) Angie's List, 2) Drake Painting and Wallpapering. Kudos!

Description of Work: Removed wallpaper from master bedroom, painted bedroom, closets, hall and bathroom. Removed old bi-fold doors and picked-up and installed new doors.
