AAA Arborist Tree Experts

Mike had done work at out neighbor's last year. We had 3 other quotes from other arborists. I contacted Mike about one week ago to come out for a 4th and final estimate. He was out the next day. His cost (before Angie's List 10% discount) was lower than all the others. I was familiar with Mike's work at one of our neighbors and called him the day after his quoting to schedule a date. He told me he could stop by the following week, today. His crew came by as we had agreed, early afternoon. He had a crew of 4 or 5 workers in addition to himself. They took down the old spruce in about an hour, chipped the tree with his chipper and ground down the stump and several large, visible roots. Raked, swept up and power blew the residue and all looks neat. When our neighbor on the other side of us heard a few days ago that we were doing our tree, he asked if Mike could stop and talk to him about an unsightly, overgrown bush and also a stump that had not been removed after a previous tree removal. Mike gave him a quote and he did that job also while he was here. So 3 happy neighbors in a row!!

They quoted a good price and it did not change. They did good work and cleaned up after.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service AAA provided. I had called the day after my tree came down, and they were out that same afternoon to remove the tree from my front yard. When I requested additional work be done, Mike and his crew came back the next morning at 8:30 am, and all of the work was accomplished by 10 o'clock. I was asked if I had any input, and my wishes were respected every step of the way. Mike provided expert advice. Service was prompt, friendly, efficient. I was especially pleased with the quality of the work. (As information, AAA also took two trees down for us two years ago. They did excellent work at that time, which is why we contacted them again. My neighbor was so impressed with their work, she hired them the next week.)

As included in above note. Also, Mike did notice curling of leaves on my white oak and he immediately had a solution for that issue. Explaining exactly what he was doing with the tree and how I should care for it over the next three days.

Michael and his workers were on-time, polite, accurate, and careful. They performed the work to specification. Each of the workers exhibited care for my property and were pleasant. I received other estimates for this work, and I believe that their price was fair and comparable to others. I would use them again.

I would recommend them to anyone. Professional work at an amazing value. You will not find a better deal at this level of quality. I hope not to have more issues with trees, but if I do, I'm calling Mike at AAA!

Mike and his crew arrived on time and began work being as careful as possible not to damage our plantings near the tree. Several large hanging branches were removed high on the tree and cracked and split branches were cleaned up with fresh cuts. We were concerned that we might lose the tree (and we still might) but Mike tested the cabling in place and injected growth encouraging fertilizer around the base of the tree. Everyone on Mike's team was courteous and friendly. They raked and cleaned up the wood chips. Great job!

Called a few companies and decided with AAA Arborist Tree Experts based on their quotation and availability. Had several phone calls to discuss about price and time, Michael Blou was always responsive to my call/voice messages. On the actual working day, Michael came with 4 other guys, he was on site all the time, and showed me the infest in one of the branches they took down. The work of trimming extra branches of 5 maple trees + 1 apple tree + one dead branch of another tree took about two hours. All branches were shredded and took away. Honestly I don't know if their work was of highest quality, because I have no idea what is the standard, I just feel they were good and the price was reasonable for their time and effort.

His crew knows what to do and works as a team. Great!

Michael and the team at AAA Arborist did a great job on our Chinese Elm. The tree hadn't been trimmed in awhile, and there was a lot of work to do. They also performed a treatment for ants (which Mike explained to me love to live inside our tree). The AAA Arborist team was very conscious of our neighbors and addressing their concerns as well as meeting our expectations. Thank you!

Mike and his crew started on Friday 4/7 after many rain days. He was very thoughtful of not damaging our property and would not work during or after heavy rain. I found him to be knowledgable on the subject of trees and was able to explain a situation with one tree that saved me some money, permit wise, with The city of Park Ridge. His crew and equipment were professional and safe. The trees were close to our house and everything was taken down safely and efficiently. They cleaned up the debris and sawdust afterwards and left the yard in good condition. During and after the project Mike kept in constant communication with either myself or my wife. I am very happy with the service provided.

AAA Arborist Tree Experts came out very quickly and quoted the job. Michael was nice, friendly and knew his stuff. He was able to perform the job just a few days later. Everything turned out great! I would use them again.

AAA Arborist Tree Experts came out about a month ago and was prompt and was the least expensive from the 3 companies I contacted. They took out a huge pine tree that was dying, ground the stomp, removed 2 huge evergreen trees, ground both of those stumps, removed a spruce tree, ground that stomp, then they grind 3 additional stumps that were left behind from a previous owner. Then they fully removed 2 shrubs that were on either side of our garage and trimmed back branches overhanging our roof. They left the place looking fantastic. There was mulch, but if you had never seen our house before you never would have known about all these trees. Michael was so prompt with getting us a quote, he communicated with my husband the progress. I am so happy with their work, they will be coming back yearly to do the tree trimming we will need on our remaining trees. We no longer worry about sap on our cars, pests getting into our attic, or skunks making homes in our trees.

Mike came out and gave me a written estimate which was exactly the amount I paid. His amount was about $1000 cheaper than one of the companies my suburb recommended. It took them 3 days to do all the work and one additional day to come back and take away any remaining branches. We were delayed by one day due to a big storm that occurred over the weekend. Other people had tree branches that broke their roof or were on power lines. Other than that everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends

I was advised by house guests that a limb broke off of my Maple, hanging by a thread and resting heavily on my blue spruce. Upon inspection, there were also other limbs on that tree that were on the brink of snapping off. Of 3 providers, only AAA returned my call. He came out the next day to address the issue. Had no idea what to expect for cost.. He quoted 400.00, so I had them also trim the blue spruce for an extra 100.00. I felt the estimate was reasonable, because of the heigth and size of the limbs. Hazards Detected: detached branches, ded/decaying limbs, dense growth, tree encroaching on house, driveway & walkway. Prune Method: corwn cleaning & thinning. My house guests advise he did a great job and I went later to inspect. Great work, great cleanup and the hazard is gone. I'm truly relieved and feel safe again. Impressive response & scheduling time.

The owner Michael came out to look at my dead tree and to give me an estimate on removal. He checked it out and gave me a rough price, and I called him and told him I wanted to go ahead and do it. He came back with a written estimate (same price he mentioned earlier) which I accepted. I went with him because he gave the best price quote and because he was very nice and professional. This is the first time I've ever had anything like this done, and I couldn't have asked for it to go any more smoothly. Michael gave me the quote, I accepted, and within a week or so my tree problem was solved. His team was fast, efficient, and they cleaned up after themselves. They made everything easy and painless and I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again. Highly recommended!

Due to high winds a large limb on one tree cracked and landed onto another tree, splitting one of its large limbs down to its trunk. Both limbs were hanging over a newly installed wooden fence and a yard sculpture in a neighboring yard. Mike's crew worked quickly (it took over two and a half hours) and were able to remove these huge limbs without damaging anything. They also removed a large limb that was growing over my house and other limbs over a different neighbor's house. They removed all the debris and cleaned up everything when they were done. The crew was courteous and friendly. Mike had come out a few days before the work was done and given me a quote - so I knew exactly what it would cost. I had used AAA Arborist Tree Experts in the past and will continue to use them in the future. They really know what they're doing and are reasonably priced.

A recent storm knocked down a large (50-60 feet or so) blue spruce in our small backyard. AAA chopped it up and removed it. We called AAA Arborist on a Monday evening, and Michael called back immediately. He had another job in our neighborhood the next day, so he agreed to stop by in the morning to give us a quote. He arrived Tuesday morning as promised, gave us a reasonable quote, and came back the same afternoon to remove the tree after he had finished his other job. This was a great experience compared to the two other tree companies we contacted before AAA. One of them did not return calls, and the other quoted us 4 times the price they had charged us 2 years ago to cut down and remove a similarly sized tree and grind the stump. This tree was already down, including the stump, and only needed to be removed. AAA on the other hand, was prompt, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. We would hire them again.

We made several attempts to schedule an appointment with AAA Arborist. After an initial phone conversation, we settled on an appointment for someone to come to our house to provide a quote. Unfortunately, AAA Arborist never showed for the appointment. We called back several times and finally reached Michael, who indicated it was some sort of 'mechanical problem'. We agreed on another appointment date. AAA Arrborist never showed for the second appointment. We tried reaching the company and left several messages, but they never returned our calls.

The guy who owns the company is a very nice guy, he was easy to work with, and very accommodating. I wouldn't hire them again. The price was fine. I had to follow up with a number of calls just to find out when they were going to schedule the service so I never really quite knew where we were at. You call, you leave a message with the owner's wife, and you'll have to wait for him to call back. He was pretty good about calling back, but I could not lock him into a definitive date. Once he did it, it was fine, but it kind of made it a little bit challenging to plan ahead. They were also contingent on the weather too, so I understand that for tree trimming and the like. In the morning he used to come out very early with his crew, they were all here, and we got going. We weren't happy with the quality because we kept going out and giving them direction on what they needed to do as far as trimming of the trees and how they were doing it, and how we wanted it done. A lot of the crew did not take good care of our house. A lot of pretty heavy branches fell on our house and on our patio area and we were very concerned about damage. Some of the bigger stuff, they should hand it off first before they went and trimmed it. I'm hoping there's no long term damage up there, I haven't been up on my roof. I think they could have handled it better so we will never hire them again. The owner was good, but his guys weren't very professional. They cleaned up and did a pretty good job after that, but when you have a lot of big branches falling down and hitting your roof, and one came down and actually punched a hole on one of my screens. I had to replace the screen door and I didn't notice that until about a week and a half later. When you're such in a hurry, you try to get as many jobs done. They came out when we had a good weather day, but I don't think they took the necessary precautions on our place. I wouldn't hire them again.

They were the least expensive. They were prompt. They answered all our calls. They were there right on time for the estimate. They were accommodating with our dates. The crew was very polite and friendly.

He came out promptly the first time. One of the trees he treated died and he never returned. I have left numerous calls for him. He called back and said he would stop by but he never followed through.

Mike came out and gave a us a quote. Within the next week he and his crew came out and cut the trees down. They came first thing in the morning and went right to work. They cleaned up the property very well considering that there were a lot of fruit on the trees. When we arrived home the property was spotless. Mike is very professional and really knows a lot about trees. We have used Mike in the past and highly recommend him. We will continue to use him in the future and will recommend him to all of our friends.

Mike came out right away and quoted the work. After that, I called about twice a week for a month to schedule the work. I kept being told Mike would call me back. Eventually gave up and hired someone else. I don't appreciate having my time wasted like that.
