Description of Work: Replaced 4 upstairs double-hung windows with custom made vinyl windows. Very happy. We were sold by the facts about their product and the high rating on Angie's list. They pushed too h****** sales, however, so I'd say just say they should stop the hard sell.

Description of Work: They installed new patio doors and a new front storm door. Our salesman Dave was awesome and the installation was professional and seamless. We just rehired them to re-side our garage. Would recommend them in an instant!

Description of Work: Installed a replacement bow front window. |I am very pleased with the appearance and functionality of the window. |The company accommodated my rescheduling a number of times due to unpredictable March weather; the installation day was perfect weather. |The installation was fast prox 2-1/2 hours and efficient. I checked Angies list before committing and although there were negative reports there were as many or more positive reports all of which I personally reviewed with the salesman during his visit to my home. I only wish the salesman would have checked in on me to see how things went but never did and so I was disappointed in that part.

Description of Work: Replaced 29 windows, using four (4) different styles, plus a door with sidelights. Everyone I worked with was very professional and responsive. However, ran into an issue at the start where the door featured on the website did not exist. Since door design drove window design, we needed to come up with a Plan B on the door. It took more time and more money, but we were happy with the result. Salesman (Landis Beckett) was exceptional. We got 0% financing, which was GREAT, and not something everyone offers. However, we did have a disagreement over their promotional gifts, as advertised on TV. (We had to ask for them, and we believe we got shorted on the total value.) In the end, window quality is quite good. We notice a big difference in sound and warmth. Only problem is double-hung windows slip at the top, making locking them tricky. One has to push the up UP and the down DOWN to make the catch. Not always easy. But I have a feeling that it's the nature of a vinyl window.

Description of Work: This company gives new meaning to the phrase "Buyer Beware". Remarkably they installed 2 windows & a sliding patio door in 2.5 hours. Of course they didn't use a level, hammered in the frames so nothing closed properly, and they broke pieces off the window. I did not pay upon completion so they sent their service manager out to fix the problems. He saw that it was not fixable and his comment to me about the installation job was..."What can I say?" Well I have plenty to say. They scheduled a crew to put in a new door & window only that crew did not show up since the product was not in the warehouse. Only they didn't call me to tell me no one was coming that day. Window Works did finally replace everything & sent out their best installation crew which took about 6.5 hours to do the same job. Of course they used a saw, level, ruler, and put plastic in the work area, which may account for the time difference. For the money I paid they should have sent this crew in the first place. That would have resolved the installation issue but it did not account for the inferior product. It rained. And every time it did water collected in the sliding door track on the inside, which I had to mop up. They again sent out a service person who said that this channel system for drainage was normal & that it would take 3 days to drain out. You have got to be kidding me! Standing water leads to mold issues & corrosion. Everywhere I went to ask about this water collection told me that I needed a new door. So six months from the time I started this project, Window Works took back their door and I got a different company. This new door does not collect water inside when it rains and it is actually warmer than the one from Window Works. The customer service from this company is a joke. I can't tell you how many people I had to talk to and still could not get any satisfaction. I had to go all the way to the CEO of the company to get anything done. They have commercials on TV that show homes with replacement windows & they look fabulous. My question is...what company installed those windows?

Description of Work: We talked to them at a local home show, and as a follow up, one of their reps came to our home and spent about 4 hours here. He was a really nice guy but I felt that the length of time he was here was kind of strange(like maybe sort of a hard sell.) He arrived late, then seemed confused about what we were looking for. We asked for info on a new patio door, because one of ours was malfunctioning. By the time he left he had talked my husband into a bunch of new vinyl replacement windows which we really didn't need. Then we went to their showroom the next day to actually look at the patio door and windows. They had nice sturdy products, but there was just something about the whole situation that made me uncomfortable. We have Anderson wood windows now. They may be older but the name is well known and they really don't cause us problems. We ended up calling the Anderson dealer to check to see if there was any sort of warranty available and there was. We should have done this first but never thought of it since we were not the original owners of the house. Someone we talked to locally suggested we do this, after buying the other door/windows and feeling unsure about them. Anderson directed us to a local dealer who fixed the problem for a very small fee, and we canceled our order with Window Works within the 3 day "buyers remorse " time period. Window Works was nice about that.

The new door looks beautiful. | |However, the initially promised install date was missed by several weeks. The company was not very forthright about contacting me to let me know of an anticipated delay. The fact that this was a custom job was known from the instant the salesman came to take measurements.

Description of Work: They came to our house to look at our windows and to see if they need to be replaced. He gave excellent information and they will be installing windows after the first of the year. The prices were a little more than I expected, however, they are guarenteed.

Description of Work: Replaced two entry doors and two sliding windows. They had installed bedroom windows in October and that worked out well so, we called them for this project. We replaced steel doors with fiberglass ones and 2 pane sliders with 3 pane ones. Their two workers did a great job and we are pleased. They also re-hung our old storm doors which took them extra time.

Description of Work: Don't use WindowWorks. The product might be okay, but the service stinks. We paid for the project in July, but it was only started in October - after I spoke to the owner . They blamed us for the delay - even though they were the ones who didn't email back or call. They kept trying to give us one kind of pediment even though we kept telling them we didn't want that one. Told me they were coming to do my siding and didn't show up - twice! Never a phone call or an apology. I think the product is okay - only time will tell. Definitely not worth the aggravation.

Description of Work: This company's website is misleading. There are two options. One button is "Get Pricing." The other button is "Make an Appointment," Both buttons lead to the same screen: "Get Pricing Now." The word "now" means "Immediately." Not "get pricing only after I fill out all this interminable information so I can have to wait for someone to come to my home." Their website is misleading at best.

Description of Work: The salesman was prompt, enjoyable, the price was right in the middle of other estimates. But when it came time for the rep to come out, he missed 2 appointment. When I call the company after the first miss, I was told they tried to contact me on my home and cell number and got no answer. I was home, had no missed call and no message left.
