Doug responded right away to my message of interest through Angie's list. He was out to provide an estimate within a few days of first contact. Between faux wood blinds, top/bottom honeycomb shades and roman shades on my front bay window, Doug installed 10 individual window coverings. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the available options but he was also willing to work with fabric on the roman shades that I had purchased @ Jo Ann fabrics; something other companies were not willing to do. Throughout the whole process Doug excellent with his follow up, keeping me abreast of timelines and accommodating my busy schedule. I would use him again or recommend his services to anyone else in a heart beat.

Doug was awesome!! I contacted him to do an estimate. He returned my call promptly and showed up promptly for the estimate appointment. When he arrived I new what color and for faux wood blinds I wanted, so he explained the product to me and proceed to do window measurements and give me the estimate and answered all my questions. After he left, I had several more questions and he was very responsive and answered all my questions thoroughly. After I finally decided to go with Doug, he ordered my blinds promptly and received them within the timeframe stated. When he received the blinds, he called to schedule the removal of the old and installation of the new. Unfortunately, due to work requirements I was unable to get them installed right away, but Doug was great working with me to find a date and install them. On the date of install, he showed up on time. It took him about 4 hours to remove and install. He did a great job and cleaned up behind himself. Doug is very professional and I will definitely hire him to any other window treatments I need done. You will not go wrong by hiring Doug.

Doug came to the house and repaired my shade for the patio door. He re-hung it and it looks great. I also asked him for an estimate on my living room window. He measured it and gave me some ideas. He is going to email me the estimate. He was a very pleasant person and does nice work for a reasonable cost.

We have used this company previously. We made an appointment for an estimate. Doug came and measured the windows and showed us our options in Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades. We knew exactly what we wanted as Doug had installed honeycomb shades in other rooms for us. We agreed upon a price and Doug emailed us the contract. He ordered the shades and we waited about three weeks. When the shades came in, he called and set up an appointment to install them. He was very accommodating regarding our schedule. The day he came, he was able to take down the old shades and install the 3 new ones in less than an hour! He even took the old shades with him after asking us if we wanted them. Doug is very conscientious about cleaning up after himself. His prices are very reasonable and include an Angie's List discount. We would definitely recommend his company.

The service, workmanship, and professionalism of Mr. Johnson was exemplary. He came to my home for a free consultation on May 27. He recommended Hunter Douglas Applause Honeycomb Shades. He took the measurements and ordered the product, which was to take 2 to 3 weeks to obtain. One June 18, he came to my home and installed the products. In every step of the process, he was courteous, accommodating, through, and professional. I highly recommend this company.

When I contacted Doug Johnson, owner, he was very responsive and professional regarding my needs. He arrived at our appointment on time with samples and discussed various options. Doug was very easy to work with and did not rush me to make a decision. I ordered my kitchen blinds along with 2 sets of sliding door blinds. The blinds were installed when promised and I am very happy with his work and product. I would recommend Doug to any home owner or business that need window treatments.

Doug was very professional and always punctual. He was extremely prompt in arranging the first visit for me to view samples and to take measurements of the windows for the blinds. He gave advice but wasn't pushy. Doug does all the work himself. One of the set of blinds was on back order and Doug emailed me immediately to check whether I wanted to wait for the whole order to be ready or to make a change in the order. As soon as the order came in Doug contacted me to schedule a date for installing the blinds. The installation went very well and I am loving all our blinds. It's as if I just remodeled my house! It went beautifully, from start to finish. One of the things we like most about Suburban Window Fashions is that Doug Johnson does all of his own work, from the estimates to the installation. There were no sub-contractors involved in the actual work. Doug also was very meticulous about cleaning up after the installations by disposing of the boxes, bindings, sawdust, etc. Doug was very patient with us; he explained everything and answered our questions. He was always accessible, either through e-mail or telephone, he gave us progress reports on the status of our orders, and he returned our calls and messages right away. We love our new shades and drapes; the quality is top-of-the-line. Our two front rooms look like new rooms!

Doug was very easygoing, polite, and responsive. He was helpful in making decisions, though not at all pushy. He was extremely reliable and everything went as smoothly as it possible could. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

The service was awesome. He returned emails and phone calls very promptly. He was very flexible. He brought sample book for us to look at. He even came on a holiday weekend to put them in. The blinds are custom made so when they come in he lets you know right away and comes right when you want him to put the blinds in. He was extremely prompt.

I have four windows in my breezeway and Doug made suggestions in terms of pattern and having 2 shades rather than 4 individual. After installation he was on the money. Love them and it really made a difference in the room. Reasons for the delay in submitting this review is I hired him again to do my 2 bedrooms. That review was just submitted along with this one.

The luminette's were installed at the end of 2014.. Because I have a L shaped window configuration, i.e., 3 windows meet in the corner of one window, there were problems in the corner and one panel for the one window was reordered and installed this past Saturday. There was no problem with the other bedroom. As my house is on a slap and is a corner house close to a sidewalk and street I was very concerned with the corner of the window. Now that the job is done I am totally happy with the product and especially with Doug who was patient and understanding with my concerns. Respected my property and was very pleasant to deal with. I never felt rushed when picking out the color or pattern. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for window treatments. I respected his advise and would definitely hire him again should the need arise.

Doug was a pleasure to work with and everything from the first meeting to install went well. There was a minor issue with the functionality of the blinds, but Doug went out of his way to craft up something to fix the issue. I was very impressed and happy with the service that Doug perfomed. He came out and worked on fixing a large curtain rod that was not working. Additionally, he measured, ordered, and installed a large Hunter Douglas shade in my kitchen. Doug is professional and knowledgeable. Scheduling was relatively easy via email. He is busy so scheduling was a bit tough but he will get to it. It was very straight forward. He has performed multiple visits and the $500 amount reflects the combined visit totals.
