Doug is the best at what he does! He was great to work with and gave me exactly what I asked for. We now have a beautiful custom Roman blackout shade that work wonderfully and two fantastic wood blinds. I was hesitant about the blinds, but they came out perfect! Doug really made sure to look at the details and make sure everything was perfect. We will definitely be doing all of our windows with Doug!

Doug is very professional and personable. He responds promptly to phone calls and emails and shows up for appointments on time. I wanted draw draperies and hardware for 3 windows and faux wood blinds for another 3 windows. Doug took careful measurements of all the windows and was very patient while I went through numerous fabric samples to make my selection. Everything arrived by the estimated date and was just as I envisioned. He also does his own installation and is very meticulous so it all looks perfect. I highly recommend Suburban Window Fashions.

Doug was very professional and efficient, whether it was measuring for the blinds or putting the blinds up. He caught an error by the manufacturer and promptly rectified the situation. He was extremely pleasant to deal with. The blinds look just perfect!

Mr. Johnson did a great job for me. I needed new drapes for a large bay window area in my living room. They look wonderful, and they let a lot of natural light through since they are sheers. I recommend him if you need any window treatments!

We received quotes from three different firms. We weren't looking for the cheapest, but the nicest for the best value. The other two firms suggested different, more elaborate (and expensive) options that we weren't comfortable in. Doug suggested a combination of Hunter-Douglas shades and colors which turned out perfect, and at half the cost of the most expensive offer. Already referred him to a friend, and will look to use him also for a daughter's home.

Doug was everything you could hope for when working with someone on a big ticket project like 2 dozen window treatments for a new house. He handles everything from walking you through selecting the treatments to doing the installation himself. (Retail stores often rely on outside contractors to perform the installation.) Pricing was very competitive and transparent, and it didn't require any negotiation since he was the most competitive right from the start. He delivered and installed the treatments on time and as quoted. Everything has worked perfectly since then. Thanks Doug.

Doug responded immediately to my request for a proposal. He was on time for all appointments. He deals in a quality product, competitively priced, and was up front about the pros and cons of certain treatments for my home. I was looking for something basic and simple that could serve as a background for future draperies or other window coverings. Doug was friendly and professional. At no time did he try to push any more expensive products. Installation was included in the price, and the installation was done beautifully. He is a one-man operation, and takes great pride in his work. We would definitely hire him again.

I made an appointment for Doug from Suburban Window Fashions to come to the house so I could choose new window treatments for my three front windows. He was on time and put coverings on his shoes before coming in. I previously had blinds, but I have two dogs who bark at anyone walking by, so I had been keeping the blinds closed, but the living room was really dark. Doug suggested shades that open from the top and bottom, so that I could open them from the top to get light into the room, but the pups couldn't see out the bottom. Great suggestion! The blinds took about 3 weeks to arrive. Doug had done all the measuring. The installation took about 45 minutes. The new shades really have updated the look of my living room, and more importantly, I can have light in the room now, but no one can see out so everyone is nice and calm. I love these new shades. I would definitely call Suburban Window Fashions again for any other window treatments and I would recommend them to anyone. Doug is very easy to work with.

Doug was amazingly professional. He showed up same day and once he diagnosed the problem it took about five minutes for him to fix the blinds. He even gave us a discount. We will be hiring him to provide the window treatments in our new home that is being built. We have used him before and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. Just great!

Doug installed honeycomb for my living room, bed room, and kitchen/dining room. I'm very satisfied and plan to work with Doug for other guest bed rooms. He worked with my budget and walked me through different options. I'm very satisfied with the look & feel of the honeycombs and also the delivery of the service. Very responsive and professional. It went extremely well! We were having a lot of people to our house in exactly two weeks. I didn't expect the blinds to come in much less think that Doug would have the availability to install, but it all happened the day before our event! He's a very nice man who did a great job in a timely way. Highly recommend.

Doug is great - extremely professional yet, down to earth. I had asked or a quote a couple of years ago which Doug provided but we did not act on at that time. Fast forward to 2016 and Doug visited, re-measured the windows on the original proposal plus a few extra rooms which we needed new or replacement blinds installed. All-in-all, his pricing is very fair (not the least or most expensive), the product (we chose Hunter Douglas), is superior to what we replaced and Doug's installation is quick and meticulous. I highly recommend to anyone interested in window treatments and would definitely use again.

Doug responded right away to my message of interest through Angie's list. He was out to provide an estimate within a few days of first contact. Between faux wood blinds, top/bottom honeycomb shades and roman shades on my front bay window, Doug installed 10 individual window coverings. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the available options but he was also willing to work with fabric on the roman shades that I had purchased @ Jo Ann fabrics; something other companies were not willing to do. Throughout the whole process Doug excellent with his follow up, keeping me abreast of timelines and accommodating my busy schedule. I would use him again or recommend his services to anyone else in a heart beat.

Doug was awesome!! I contacted him to do an estimate. He returned my call promptly and showed up promptly for the estimate appointment. When he arrived I new what color and for faux wood blinds I wanted, so he explained the product to me and proceed to do window measurements and give me the estimate and answered all my questions. After he left, I had several more questions and he was very responsive and answered all my questions thoroughly. After I finally decided to go with Doug, he ordered my blinds promptly and received them within the timeframe stated. When he received the blinds, he called to schedule the removal of the old and installation of the new. Unfortunately, due to work requirements I was unable to get them installed right away, but Doug was great working with me to find a date and install them. On the date of install, he showed up on time. It took him about 4 hours to remove and install. He did a great job and cleaned up behind himself. Doug is very professional and I will definitely hire him to any other window treatments I need done. You will not go wrong by hiring Doug.

Doug came to the house and repaired my shade for the patio door. He re-hung it and it looks great. I also asked him for an estimate on my living room window. He measured it and gave me some ideas. He is going to email me the estimate. He was a very pleasant person and does nice work for a reasonable cost.
