Description of Work: They re-roofed my house in one day and did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. They even went on my neighbor's roof to blow out any debris which may have fallen into their gutters and roof.

They did a great job! The entire job was done in approximately 4 hours; my house is a small ranch, but still did a quick, efficient job. They picked up all debris, including nails, roof fragments...nothing left to see that they had been there and had done the job! Very impressive! I would highly recommend Casey Roofing to anyone, and have already done so...job well done!!!
Description of Work: Casey roofers tore off the old roof, replaced sheetwood on the bach porch roof, painted my chimney (didn't ask for this to be done, just did it to make the appearance of the roof look better...and it does!) and put on a new roof.

Casey Roofing did a remarkable job. Their prices were very competitive, they were fast, professional, and delivered on exactly what they promised and more! They answered numerous questions prior to the installation in a timely manner, explained the day before exactly what space they would need clear and did everything to make this a smooth process. They tarped our deck and even swept minor debris when they were finished. They even carefully moved my potted plants to protect the flowers. Their great equipment made the tear off a tidy process. A friend came by the same evening and commented that although she could see that the roof looked wonderful, there was no way a crew had been there that day to put on a roof - let alone the mess of the tear off. Cory and his crew were just that good. They even screwed in some decorative architectural elements and a piece of the gutter that were loose. My house looks beautiful.
Description of Work: Tear off entire roof, clean ground and haul away all debris. . Install ice and water shield around chimney and on eaves. Install premium felt, perimeter flashings, pipe flashings, vents and lifetime architectural shingle. Remove siding from chimney, install ice and water shield up walls, install new roof flashings and flash-rite corner flashings, then re-install siding.

We got a written estimate from Casey's Roofing within 48 hours of initial contact. Rather than use a salesman, the owner Cory Casey personally came to our home the day after we called and emailed a written estimate to us within 24 hours of his visit. During his visit, Cory left the shingle selection book with us so we would have plenty of time to select the shingle color. The written estimate included a contingency to repair the chimney flashing if required and an option for switching to a vent-a-ridge and plugging the old vent holes. My only comment about the estimate part of the process is that the wording on the Angie's List coupon should make it clear that it is for a discount on materials only. It was clear before we signed to accept the estimate so it was no big deal. Once we chose Casey's Roofing to do the work, we also chose the vent-a-ridge option. The chimney flashing contingency was not required after inspection during the removal of the old roofing material showed the existing flashing was in good shape. There was no down payment required to get on their schedule and after some inclement weather and jobs ahead of ours we were about two weeks from the time the estimate was accepted and the day the work started. The shingle color we selected was a shade of blue that Cory had experience with. He sent us to an address to look at the color installed and as soon as we saw it we changed our minds...we were so glad he advised us to look! He called when the weather broke on Friday April 20th and said they would start after lunch. I was working 3-11 shift and when I got home from work had to ask my wife where the roofers were...that's how clean the yard was when they broke for the day. They came back Saturday morning early and were done by 10 AM. They showed up with a crew of 8-10 and Cory was there for the whole job. Since I was off on Saturday I watched them on and off that whole morning and this is the most efficient professional crew I have seen in this business. I received an invoice by email on Monday and was able to pay on line with no fee. The invoice was dead on the estimate and the Angie's List coupon was honored. I waited for a few good wind and rain storms before I did this review and I can accurately say the job was waterproof and windproof. I highly recommend Casey's Roofing.

Cory and the team were very good, explained everything, went over options - both recommended and not recommended. They were delayed by weather but at the first opportunity were there on time in the morning and completed the roof at the time they had estimated. They did a great job, the entire crew was friendly and helpful. I would use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

No problems. I was out of town when the repair took place and when I came backe everything was done.
Description of Work: Cory was extremely helpful. I needed a repair, not a replacement roof. He contacted the material supplier, managed to get a manufactures rep to come look at the roof. The manufacturer outlined the needed repair and did contribute some materials to the repair and the roofer completed the work in one day.

The estimate was a bit strange (it was a range of money) but he was able to explain the estimate very well so that I was very comfortable with it. The quality of work was really good. They worked very quickly. They only use top-quality products. We had a date selected in September but I had an emergency situation and I had to go to Florida during this time. When they discovered some issues with the roof, they emailed me the pictures so that I wouldn't feel that I was being take advantage of. Casey has put together a very efficient team. I am very pleased with my roof.

We recently had roof damage due to a tree falling on our house. Corry came out and gave us an estimate as soon as the tree was removed. His explanation of exactly what needed to be done, the cost involved and the time it would take to do it was very clear. When we decided which contractor to hire for the job, we called Corry, he again explained the procedure and fit the job in the next day. Much to our surprise he had the job...complete tear down, resheeting, and re-roofing, completed in four hours...roof looking great and job site was left absolutely spotless!! Having dealt with other roofers in the area, we found Casey Roofing far above the rest...no pun intended :-)! He's prompt, professional, his prices are fair and his work is excellent! We highly recommend him!

Casey Roofing arrived right on time and immediately climbed onto my roof and found both of the problems. One of the problems was with an incorrectly installed chimney cap and flashing. The other leak was caused by the failure of my original roofing contractor to caulk an area correctly. Casey Roofing repaired both issues and I have not had any leaking since the time of the repairs. It is now 4 months later and all is well.
Description of Work: I called Casey Roofing to have them diagnose and repair two leaks on my roof. They called me back within the hour of leaving my message and set an appointment for the next day.

I hired Casey Roofing to remove and replace the shingles on my ranch style house. The owner performed the estimate the same day that I contacted the company and provided me with a written copy within hours of meeting with him. He showed up exactly when he said he would be there and kept me up to date on availibility to complete the work depending on the weather forecast for the upcoming week. The estimate provided was competitive or better than the other quotes that I received, and the time frame that he was able to complete the work was significantly shorter that any other contractor that I contacted. Total time to completely reshingle the roof was 6.5 hours from when they showed up to when they had everything cleaned up and hauled away. He showed up promptly at 8am with a team of 8 other individuals and had the old shingles completely removed and cleaned up before lunch. Within the next few hours they had the new layer of shingle down and were packed up for the day. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the work, price, and speed with which it was completed. I would use this contractor again if I had another roof to reshingle.

They were very helpful and quick to respond! A storm had knocked down a dead tree branch onto my roof which caused a big leak into my house. They came out and gave an estimate that day for the roof, and put a new roof on the house the next. My current roof was not very old, but in poor shape due to the tree hanging over it, so I went with just re-roofing it. The company put it on in a few hours and they also trimmed any remaining branches from the tree that were hanging over it. I was verry happy with the service and price.

The roof was good, until it rained 3 days later. Along the side of the house where the roof meets teh chimney water was leaking into the house and cause damage to every floor and had water running into the basement. I called him to come fix it and he didn't get to my house to fix it for another 3 days. He claimed it was a nearby skylight that was leaking, but would not listen that there was not water damage from or around the skylight and the damage was coming from the exterior wall along the chimney. He then claimed it was the siding which didn't have tyvek behind the siding. He came out a replaced a piece of siding and the water damage continued, I told him that if he thinks it's siding to get a siding person to come out, since his response everytime was, "I'm not a siding expert, I do roofs". He never got a siding person to come out and decided to come fix it himself. His fix was to smear tar all over everything including the skylight which was not leaking. In doing so, he damaged the skylight cause more problems, and the skylight had to be replaced. After 3 attempts to get him to remedy the problem I called someone else and had them come out on an emergency call before the next storm rolled in and I had even more damage. He was up there about an hour, and told me the roofer didn't put the flashings on the chimney correctly so the water was getting trapped behind the flashing and the shingles. He also noticed the damage to the skylight and told me that it'll have to be replaced or removed, and that they overlayed the top shingles instead of completly removing. I would not recommend this company to anyone. For the quality I received I got ripped off big time. I ended up paying $5600 for a roof that was suppose to be high quality, and ended up with a mediocre roof, that caused me an additional $5000 in water damage.
Description of Work: The roofer responded to the estimate very quickly, and was very quick to get the job set up and done. When we asked for a written estimate, he asked for an email to email the estimate. It took 2 weeks after the job was done to receive anything written. The roof looked professional when I came home to it, a lot better than the cracked and curled shingles I had before. They were suppose to do a complete tear off of the old shingles and replace with all new shingles. I asked them to check to make sure there weren't any gutter boards going bad, or any bad wood under the shingles.

Response from Casey Roofing Inc
During the tear off, we discovered that the skylight that was originally installed was a very cheap model and only had a rubber flashing and not metal ones. As anyone knows, rubber deteroriates over time. He did not want to replace the skylight, so we installed the preexisting rubber flashing as well as plastic cement(tar) around the perimeter of the skylight to help prolong the life of the skylight. We also noticed some siding on the chimney was severely melted. After some investigation, we determined that the melted siding was from the reflection of the sun off the nearby skylight due to the glass in the skylight containing low E gas. This is a common problem that both RP lumber and ABC supply company have experienced. I informed him that this was where his leak was coming from. The chimney was leaking before the new roof was installed he stated. He also said that water was getting behind the siding and coming out the holes in siding on the first story where an old satellite dish was screwed to the wall. He asked for me to recommend a siding contractor, the company that I usually work with was busy at the time. I advised him to have it done soon because we were expecting a large amount of rain later that week. He said he would wait for the company I called to do it. I informed him that the company I called did not have time to get to it right away and he needed to call a siding guy himself or it may leak again. We received 6 inches of rain in a three day period that week and the chimney leaked in the house. I went to his house a couple days later when the rain was over and replaced the four pieces of melted siding. While doing this, I noticed that there was no tyvek (moisture barrier) behind the siding. Now he needed to pull about 20 pieces of siding off the chimney and install the tyvek over the sheathing and over top of the step flashing on side of the chimney. I took several pictures of his chimney with the few pieces of siding off and showed him that his sheathing was wet, and had turned black from leaking for so long and every nail in the siding was severely rusted. He again said he would wait for the guy I called to do the job. The inside ceiling was nearly dry and I had a guy lined up to fix the drywall and paint the spot as soon as it was fixed and dry even though it had nothing to do with the roof. He then called the siding guy himself and was rude to him, even though he had absolutely nothing to do with it and acted as if he was responsible. It then rained again and got wet again after another rain. I informed him that the guy I called did not have time to get to it right away and he needed to call a siding guy himself or it may leak again. This homeowner did not understand that the water in his house was coming in before a new roof and after a new roof could have been the siding leaking and not the roof. He was very young and stubborn when I tried to explain this to him. I showed him the severly melted siding and also more pictures of his siding where it could have been leaking. As for him stating that the chimney flashing were installed improperly, they are preexisting and no roofing company ever replaces the chimney or any other step flashings unless they are rusted through. This would involve removing a large volume of siding and moisture barrier in most cases. They were not installed incorrectly. I informed the homeowner that I could tarp off the roof and spray the siding with a hose and make water come in his house. He did not want to her this and became very rude and said he would turn it in to his insurance and I could deal with them. I then dealt with them and after seeing the several pictures I had taken and the melted siding that I had saved just for that reason they denied his claim and stated that it was the siding and I was not at fault of any kind. The employee that shingled around the skylight and the chimney that day has been roofing for over 20 years and is very experienced. Unfortunately for the homeowner he ran into more than we counted on, but sometimes when removing a roof more problems are discovered. This was unfortunate, but not my fault. I tried to help him out as much as I could and he did not appreciate it at all. He kept assuming it was the roof and became very irrate and rude. I'm sorry it happened, but his bad luck should not be my fault.
