Did a great job. Corey helped us with the warranty process through Certainteed. He rearranged his schedule to get to us sooner than planned when the old roof began to leak. He did both houses the same day. Impressive work. I will use him for all of my roofing needs.

For what reason would Casey Roofing put oversized, overweight trucks on my driveway without my permission, authorization or waiver resulting in the destruction of the driveway? For what reason would Casey Roofing use part of the house (the northeast corner) as a loading and unloading dock for waste shingles and stacks of new shingles, resulting in deformities and possible structural damage to the roof? Do such reckless work practices reflect any concern for the customer as the cost of the damages may exceed the cost of the roof? What about the guarantee of workmanship? Is this a dodge of responsibility or what? Shortly after the roof was put on, I called him and he didn?t return my phone call. When the roofing was completed, I did not go out and look at the driveway and the roof. I was inside painting a bedroom. He came inside and said he was done, so I wrote him a check right there. Later, I called Casey about the driveway. He said he would get in touch with me later for a time to come over. In the meantime, I discovered the deformities in the roof on the NE side. I called Casey a second time and a meeting was arranged at the meeting I explained my concerns to Casey. He said he wanted to call the Lumber Co. delivery person and we waited for him to arrive. When he arrived, he and Casey went to Casey?s truck and talked. When they joined me, the man from the lumber company said the damage had been done before his delivery and why had I waited so long to report the things wrong. By this time, I was very angry and yelling at the both of them. I do not remember Casey making any more comments about the roof or driveway. He did not even look at or inspect the roof. He made no commitment to do any repairs. He told me to send him an email. I had a building inspector come to look at the roof. He commented that besides the ugliness of the dips and dents and the underfoot vibrations there could be cracked or broken support beams. I had the Facilities Director at Wesley United Methodist Church examine the roof. He said that if the workmanship was guaranteed, why is there an argument? Conditions for putting on the roof was the structure underneath be sound and workmanship is guaranteed?either way the roof would be repaired. I?ve attached a picture of the Truck Casey?s Roofing used to remove the used shingles and underlayment from the house by 10 workers (2,000 lbs of moving weight). The truck weight is 30,000 to 35,000 lbs. empty. Loaded with used shingles and plywood waste it would weigh 10,926 to 16,550 lbs more which would be 46,550 to 51,550 lbs. of weight on the driveway. For a driveway built for cars and pickup trucks, Casey surely knows putting that truck on the driveway is reckless and dangerous. And risk of damage is probably. Using the truck, Casey saved a lot of money on labor and reduced the time of the job by several hours. I asked another roofing company how they handled heavy truck usage. They said anytime large trucks were needed they had the owner sign a release and only then would they use them. In comparison, the delivery truck used to carry the new shingles was larger than the pictured truck. Much larger. Also pictured below is the tire print in the concrete of the driveway, cause by one of Casey?s trucks. After I bought the house, I was relieved because although the driveway was old, it had a flat contour. Three small cracks were not separated and I could expect 6-10 years of service from the driveway. The next picture shows how the driveway was pushed down in the ground from weight of the truck. Another thing that really bothers me is having 10 to 14 people on my roof. That?s 2,000-2,800 lbs of moving weight. Get three or four people working together, you have 600-800 lbs. 30 to 40 years ago, only four or five people were allowed on a house at a time. My final complain about Casey?s Roofing is their obsessive quest to complete a house in the shortest amount of time possible. From start to finish, my house finished in about 6 hours. The whole configuration using oversized overweight equipment overloading areas of the house with shingles, placing too many workers on the roof all fit into a pattern of getting a roof put on in a record time. The pattern reflects a disregard for workmanship and responsibility which I expected. To me, as his customer, I see his 2 year guarantee as worthless. The next to last picture is a copy of the estimate Casey(four or five years ago Casey roofing did a roof for me this is not the same Casey I worked with then) worked out for the house, note he states the underlayment will be replaced for the original house, all of it...he stood in my kitchen and said...the addition had sound underlayment and was in fine condition ...did not need anything but roofing! The addition is much younger than the house. It is not a make over garage. The original garage is located on the back of the lot on the alley. The sheet also contains a...**Two year guarantee on all Workmanship** statement. The last picture is a copy of a letter from Allstate I received last December which Casey looked at as he stood in my kitchen, the day he inspected the roof and said in his own words ...put underlayment on entire house and make necessary repairs, the roof on the addition is sound and only needs roofing. I gave a copy of the estimate to Myers Agency of Allstate and was given permission to wait till good weather to put on the roof. Allstate knew the condition of the roof before Casey reroofed and the condition of the roof presently. The people at Meyers Agency Allstate have said to me those responsible for the present condition of the roof is Casey Roofing. Title next to last picture.....The Casey estimate. Title to last picture.......Allstate Risk Management inspection of property

Response from Casey Roofing Inc
I did this guys roof and he was pleased. Told me how good of a job we did and sent payment. 5 weeks later he called and said his driveway was cracked and wanted me to look at it. I came by and started screaming at me. His driveway is original to the house. It is over 60 years old. There were cracks over an inch wide going all the way across the driveway both ways. There was dirt in all of the cracks and grass growing out of them. They have been there for years, maybe decades before we got there. There was no way we did them. There were two smaller cracks maybe 12-18" long near one of the larger cracks, which he submitted pictures of. I told him that they may have been from us, but not for sure. He had his entire yard dug up at the time we were doing the roof and was having the yard excavated and new sewer and drainage pipes being installed. They also had large equipment there that could have caused these two small cracks. There were over 20 cracks in this man's driveway that he said we did. I backed a dump truck in his driveway like we do everyday, so it was nothing out of the ordinary. We do crack driveway occasionally that have been washed out underneath and I do replace them, but this driveway was far beyond repair. As for the roof, the sag is over the bay window where there is no support in the wall. This was previously a garage that they turned into living space and put a bay window where the garage door was. There is a bay window over 6' wide in the wall, so that is a large section of wall with no support. The sag in the roof is about 1/2" and is very common in the older homes with bay windows. I offered to remove the roof and let him inspect the rafters and see if any were broken. I then told him that if they were not damaged, just sagging due to no support in the wall then he was financially responsible to repair the area and I was not interested in doing any more work for him. I am very professional and am on every job. I know there were no large amount of materials stacked in this area like he claims and am very confident that once the roof is removed he will see what we did not do. A 1/2" sag in a house that is over 60 years old is very common. They are just rafters, not trusses so there is no added support to keep them from sagging some. He turned this same response into the Better Business Bureau and I turned my same response in and they threw out the case. His pictures say it all for me. If it was a problem, he would not have paid me right away. I did a roof for him previously and he was very pleased this time as well and then all the sudden he called me over a month later and was furious. He first blamed it on my dump truck and then on the shingle delivery truck. I had the manager from RP lumber come out and talk to him and he did nothing but cuss him as well. The lumber company's insurance company told him that they could not make a claim over a month after the fact either. I have nearly 50 good reviews on line. I am not a crook and pay for anything I damage, but this is not one of those cases. I am in good standing with Angie's list as well as the better business bureau and intend on staying that way. I do not feel that we damaged his driveway and know for a fact that we did not stack a large amount of material on his roof in one spot and break any rafters. I am a professional and I am great at my job.

I called 2 different framing contractors and told them what needed to be done and gave them the information. It was not an easy task and the way the guy wanted it done was not acceptable nor did it meet building codes. I do not think either of them were interested after they heard what he wanted done.

I was impressed when I walked out at 7 a.m. and my roof was covered with workers. By 11:30 a.m. they were out of there and on to the next job. They even picked up all the loose nails. I would recommend them to anyone. I've seen roofers take 2 or 3 days to do a roof, this contractor was not like that.

(member name removed) had left me a voicemail with his information. I told him I would call him in a couple days to look at the roof. I ended up dropping my phone off of a roof and broke it. I lost my voicemails and it took Sprint a few days to recover all of them. As soon as I got them from sprint I called (member name removed) and left him a voicemail to let him know what happened, but never received a call back.

It went very well. We have not had any new water spots and are planning to have Cory and his guys replace our roof next spring.
Description of Work: We noticed some water spots on the ceiling and called Cory Casey. He stopped by that day, went up on the roof and said that there was some leakage around some of the vents on the roof. The roof will have to be replaced in about a year, He had 2 of his employees come over the next week and they caulked the areas of concern.

Casey Roofing was very professional and scheduled the job the first warmer day. His crew did an outstanding job of tearing off the exisiting roof sections and replacing them. They cleaned the yard area of all debris and swept the patio and driveway. We were very impressed with the integrity of Cory and his crew. We would highly recommend them
Description of Work: We called Casey Roofing based on reports on Angie's List. Cory came out the afternoon of the day we called and gave us an estimate to repair damage to the garage roof after a large tree limb fell on it. The roofing company that replaced our roof 2 years ago gave us an estimate for replacing the entire roof. Cory advised us that only two sides needed to be replaced. He took photos when he was up on the roof so we could see the damage. He was able to determine the color and type of shingle so the new roof would match.

Communication with the company (Cory Casey) was timely and attentive in setting up the job. The work only took 4 hours to do the tear-off and replacement (we have a medium sized house). There was a problem with deterioration around the dormer on our garage and I was given an explanation of the issue and options to deal with it. After the job was done I inspected the roof and around the house and you can tell there was quality work and minimal missed clean-up. Overall, very satisfied. We love the updated look of the house. I would recommend them to others.

Fantastic from start to finish, an absolute pleasure to work with! Casey's quote was $2000 less than the others, and the crew was quick, efficient and professional. They left the place far cleaner than it was when they arrived. Communication was excellent. My neighbor who recently had his own roof replaced was jealous that Casey's was so much faster and cheaper than his. Cory Casey told me that my shingles were defective and showed me how to file a claim through the class-action lawsuit against the manufacturer. He walked me through the entire process and took the photos I needed for the claim. The roofers needed to take down the satellite dish for the job, and when Cory learned that it would take 3 weeks for Dish to re-install it, he sent someone over after hours to put it back up. I can't say enough good things about these guys--use them, you won't regret it!

Had an old roof that was poorly done in 1991 (4 layers of shingles, rotting wood). Casey's crew & doggie were out to start work at 8:30 and were done by 5 pm - Thoroughly stripping the layers of shingles, replacing wood decking & other places of bad wood, removing one live bat, and finishing the new roof before the sun went down! They carefully moved (and later re-positioned) Christmas decorations, placing tarps over anything near the house that could get covered in the roof debris (including our garage & dog house); and they cleaned up as if this was their home - no stray trash, nails, or shingles. They even redid the shingles on the small overhang for the back door. The crew was friendly, polite, (no foul language or shouting) and hard working. All work was fully explained, options were presented with cost differences - communication was great.

We had quotes from three companies. The quotes were all with 10% of each other, and all said "plus whatever else we find wrong". Corey Casey was the only one to get on the roof. He was able to include in the quote problems he found. We felt that the actual price was going to be close to his quoted price, and even cheaper quotes could have ended up being more expensive. While doing the actual work, the crew found bad decking around the skylights, so the actual bill was $250 higher than the quote. Very reasonable. One company we had a quote from, a major company from Peoria, was very pushy. They even wanted to argue about why we weren't including gutter guards. And I do mean "argue". After being battered with "Why won't you sign the papers right now" for a long time, we told them to leave. Fortunately we were outside, so my wife and I were able to walk away. Corey Casey suggested removing the siding and gutters for an even better roofing job, though it was our choice. Since a roof not giving trouble for a long time is important, we agreed that it was a good choice. The other two estimaters did not suggest either. They said that they would do the best they could with fitting the flashing under the siding. The gutters weren't properly installed because of problems with the old roof. I think other companies were just going to go with the gutters as is. Not a good long term solution. Corey took care of coordinating with the siding and gutter contractors. They showed up with a crew of 10, and there was a flurry of activity for 2 1/2 days. They did a good clean up job, and the roof looks great.
Description of Work: Remove and replace the roof on the house and garage. The house is a 100 year old 4-square with a very steep pitched roof. The garage is four car. The "base" price was about $17,000. We decided on several upgrades. $2,300 for an architectural shingle, $775.00 to remove and replace some siding to allow for better flashing, and relace the garage skylights for $500. I'm waiting for a separate bill for gutter remove & replace. Call it $21,000 complete. I listed the additions separately as they were our choice, and we could have done the roof without. And, most importantly, other quotes did not include these.

This was an extremely easy job from our end. Additionally, after the major storm, the insurance settlement also included new guttering or the house. When I spoke to Cory about calling the guy to whom he referred me, Cory said they vacummed out all the gutters and there was no damage so there really wasn't any need for new gutters. That was a great savings to us!
Description of Work: Casey roofing removed 2 layers of shingles, put in a new skylight, installed new flasing and vents, and reshingled a large home with five different roof lines in two days. Most impressive was that Cory knew my family was coming in from TX for the Thanksgiving holiday on Tuesday before Thanksgiving and he wanted to get it done before they arrived so it did not intrude on their week, so Cory and his crew worked all day on Sunday and finished up on Monday!

The existing garage roof was in need of replacement. Casey Roofing was called and came out promptly to give an estimate. After the decision was made to hire Casey Roofing to remove the old roof and install a new one, we again called Casey. Within a very short time Casey Roofing came out and did the work. They cleaned up all the debris and their work was very professional. The work was finished within approximately four hours. We are very satisfied with their work and would highly recommend Casey Roofing.

Corey Casey and I communicated via email and phone. I felt as though I could speak to him freely. He had informed me that he and his crew would be by on Saturday afternoon at around 1:00 PM. He was! Some of the things that impressed me: # He arrived on time # He brought an "army" of workers with him: I think I counted 10 # They efficiently prepped the property for the job: removed planters that might be effected; put down drop cloths to protect surfaces # Each worker appeared to be very knowledgeable about his responsibilities and exercised his expertise skillfully # When there was an issue that came up, Corey brought it to my attention so that it could be mutually addressed # Everyone worked together and with purpose # Each worker spoke to me with respect # Clean up was exceptional # I inspected the completed job and found that gutters were cleaned, all traces of debris were addressed The entire job was completed in less than four hours, which speaks to the intensity and purpose of their labor. They had the equipment needed to help them be prepared to get the job done. A tremendous experience. I would recommend Casey Roofing highly.
Description of Work: I needed to have a portion of my roof addressed. While the leak was confined to one area, Corey Casey gave good reasons why it would be prudent to address the entire section of this roofing area. His estimate was most reasonable. I had read positive reviews of Casey's Roofing on Angie's List which resonated with opinions of others whose counsel I sought. I am thoroughly delighted in that what I was led to believe would be a positive experience was indeed just that.
