Great! The cleaning ladies do an excellent job and are very thorough. They are always able to respond to special requests as well. They arrive when they say they will and leave everything where they found it. We've been very pleased.

My husband and I have been really pleased w/ Emilia's Cleaning. We've owned a place in Chicago for a year and a half and they're the third cleaning company we've used (first nationwide company wouldn't show up for scheduled cleanings and wouldn't call to either let me know or reschedule; second nationwide company came twice and both times broke things and didn't clean what they were supposed to.....and charged an arm and a leg for parking). We don't live in Chicago full-time, but at least once a month, Kathy does a great job cleaning our apt from top to bottom--even makes our bed so its one less thing we have to do upon arrival. The couple of times that she missed something, I notified Emilia and she immediately apologized, then took care of the issue. We foresee using Emilia's Cleaning for many years to come!

Emilia, herself, is responsive and professional -- especially via email. Communication with both Emilia and the individual(s) who cleans our home has been excellent. We have left notes for special projects that have been completed during the regularly scheduled cleaning. The team has effectively managed our security alarm, supply levels, and pets without incident. The cleaning effort is always thorough and meticulous using all the supplies that we specify. All this for a reasonable price, consistent staff, and overall pleasant experience -- we are very pleased with the service and would highly recommend to others!

Emilia came and gave the estimate which was a little pricey for the size of my apartment, but since it was such a reputable company I decided to splurge. The work was average, there were definitely places that were missed...but good enough. I tried to hire her company again but the price was too high for a weekly rate. It was not in line with what other companies had quoted me, not to mention she was quite short and rude in her email to me, which made me want to look elsewhere instead of giving her another chance.

This is a long review, so I will summarize the key points: ? The most impactful point for me is that Emilia?s used a cleaning product that was not agreed to at the initial meeting, and not used per package directions: they sprayed oven cleaner onto my 3-year old quartz countertop, causing permanent damage to it. After an initial attempt to use a polish to fix it based on misinformation from an installer, they have not repaired this damage to date, and are refusing to discuss it further. ? Also very important depending on your circumstances, I had a limited amount of time for the cleaning to be done, on the day before a large party. They did not match their cleaning depth to the amount of time available, and ended up over-cleaning areas that were not important, and not cleaning other areas at all. ? They did run an hour late for the initial appointment, as well as for the cleaning appointment. ? On the positive side, they made a good effort to schedule my cleaning appointment in a narrow time slot with less than two week?s notice. ? The team is dog-friendly, which was very important to me. ? The areas they did do deep cleaning on were outstanding. The areas that were left to the end were not as good?cobwebs left in a couple places, a platter left dusty on the wall, etc. Emilia was very friendly to deal with. She came to do an estimate a few evenings after I first called, went through the whole house, and discussed what was to be done and who would provide which cleaning materials. I indicated that I wanted deep cleaning for the kitchen & 3 bathrooms, and lighter duty on the remaining rooms. I thought the estimate was reasonable at $180 for a 5-hour job. I told her I needed her staff in from 1-6 on the night before a graduation party. I needed to leave at 6 to attend the actual graduation ceremony. She said that would be tight, but should be OK. Later in the week she called to find out if they could come early in the morning instead of the afternoon. I told her that it would be difficult for me to get off work, and asked if we could stick with the original plan, and she said that would be fine. The cleaners were over an hour late in arriving, so I had to have my teenage son miss the ceremony to stay with the cleaning staff so they could finish, and they ended up staying more than an hour over what we originally agreed to. One of the team spoke English and translated for the other. It seemed that the instructions that were discussed directly with Emilia were not passed on to the cleaning team (e.g., the use of Murphy?s Oil soap on the main floor wood floors). They wanted to start on the 2nd floor (bedrooms) and clean top down, which I didn?t see a problem with at the time. I was working on other preparations, and didn?t realize that they ended up spending 3 hours, over half the allotted cleaning time, on the top floor, which was not going to be used for the party. When they came to the main level, they said they would not be able to do the basement at all, which was where the main party would be held. I asked if they would skip the main floor bedroom and do a quick job on the family room, and instead spend that time in the basement. They agreed, but I was completely stressed out that it wouldn?t be finished, and I wouldn?t have time to do it myself. In the end, the top floor was flawless, but I did have to do the bedroom myself, and the family room and basement were done only so-so. Because they were rushing to get done, they did miss a few out-of-the-way spots in the kitchen, which was disappointing, as that was exactly what I was aiming to avoid by hiring professionals. To be fair, I never brought the cleaning issues up to Emilia, because the issue below was far more important, and there was no time for them to come back and do a better job, since the party was the next day. I did not discover the major problem until the morning of the party. I?m guessing that by the time they got to the kitchen, they were trying to make up for lost time. They took the cast iron grate off of my stove, placed it to the left of the stove on my quartz countertop, took a can of Easy Off oven cleaner out from under my sink, and sprayed it directly onto my countertop, as well as on the stovetop with the other 2 grates still in place. The stovetop and grates were not damaged, but you can clearly see the outline of the cast-iron grate on the countertop surface, since the Easy Off removed the gloss finish from the countertop. There is also damage on the right side of the countertop from overspray of the Easy Off. I contacted Emilia by phone immediately, leaving her a message and following up with an email. She replied quickly and she said she would talk to the cleaners, and would schedule a time to come out to see the damage. In the mean time, I contacted the original installer to find out if the damage could be repaired. The people in the office said that it could not be repaired, but would have to be replaced. In addition, since the countertop was over 2 years old, the entire 15 feet of countertop would need to be replaced, since they would not be able match the dye lot of the stone. I informed Emilia of this. Understanding the potential cost, I was very concerned that this would become painful. Due to vacations, it took a while to get the visit scheduled, but Emilia came out with several people, including the cleaning staff. I showed them the can of Easy Off, under the counter. They were not speaking English, but I could see that there was agreement that they had sprayed the burner on the countertop, and Emilia apologized for doing the damage and said she would fix the problem. My mind was greatly eased because she was very professional and agreed to make it right. She said she would contact her insurance company and they should cover it. Upon doing that, however, she found that they would not cover the damage, and Emilia commented to my husband that she would be dropping that insurance company. Emilia asked to schedule a time to have someone come out to our home to measure the countertop. I was not able to be there at that meeting, but my husband was there. The installer said that the damage was not a result of the Easy Off, but probably from the burner being placed on the countertop while hot, and grease from the burner soaking into the stone. This explanation never made any sense to me, as you could see that the luster of the stone was gone next to the stovetop, but was still there 8 inches away, next to the sink. How could grease dripping straight down from a burner affect an entire 1? x 3? area? When I asked later, my husband said that there was no discussion about how long the spray was left on the countertop?perhaps the installer thought the product was sprayed on & wiped right off. The Easy Off instructions indicate that it should be left on for an hour, and that whole stovetop was sparkling clean, so the conclusion can only be that the spray was left on for quite a while. At that visit, the installer applied a cleaning or polishing solution, which appeared to restore the shine. But by the time I got home from work, I pointed out to my husband that I could still see the mark on the countertop. We called Emilia that night and told her the mark was still there, and she said that she would call the installer back. After a week or so, the polish wore off and the damage looked exactly as it had before the installer?s visit. When I hadn?t heard from Emilia for a couple weeks, I sent a follow-up email and she replied that the installer had said that the damage was not a result of her staff?s actions, and she would not be doing anything further to address the problem. I am still hopeful that the actual cause will be made clear by additional information from the manufacturer, and Emilia will do the right thing.

Fantastic. They lived up to my expectations (which are high for house cleaning) completely. They are very thorough.

From the very first call Emilia was nothing but prompt, professional and very helpful. She came out to see the job and quote a price. The price was extremely fair so we scheduled her to come out the next week. Her crew did exactly what she said and then some. In all honesty I believe that the job was much harder than it appeared. We were extremely pleased by the work. In one day the home was restored back to where it had been prior to the illness. Emilia followed up the next day and asked for feedback. We had nothing other than to express how grateful we were for her amazing service! We are now on a permanent schedule where her crew comes every other week.

On Saturday, July 10, Kasha arrived at my place a little after 9 AM. Another girl was with her, ( I'm sorry I forget her name.) Kasha said something like "It is just 1 floor to be cleaned," and I said "No, it is the basement and the hallway too." I showed her the basement and the string mop. I showed them the rest of the cleaning supplies including the vacuum. They asked for more paper towels to clean the mirrors. Unfortunately, I did not have paper towels I thought were in my closet, so I gave them some paper napkins instead. They started cleaning the bathroom and the kitchen. I continued my work at the same time which consisted of clearing off some of the surfaces that would need to be dusted. I have a dog who I kept on leas.h, but the dog was in the way so I went to basement while they cleaned on the first flr. When they moved to the basement to clean I came back to the first floor. At about 11 AM they said they were done. I asked them to clean the fireplace which they missed with vacuuming and dusting. While one of them did that, I went to the basement to check and when I lifted one of the rugs to check I noticed it was very wet on the bottom and I said that was un acceptable and to take the rug out side so it could dry. I noticed a lot of areas in the basement that had not been thoroughly vaccumed including along the edges of the walls and behind the door where there were dead leaves and cob webs. I also asked that 1 wall where there was a ledge and a lot of dirt and dust be cleaned. Kasha said that they had to get to another job, but I was trying to be insistent that they do a better job at my place. I also realized at this point that they had used the hardwood flr mob to try to clean the basement flr, and had not even used the string mop at all. Kasha called Emilia, and I spoke to Emilia and said that the work that had been done in the basement was not satisfactory, and that I had been overcharged and that I usually tipped the people who cleaned for me but that I could not tip them because the work had been poor. I said I would pay her today, but that I probably would not hire her in the future. At this point I feel like I really made a poor choice. The work that was done was poor in regard to the basement, and mediocre in my apt and hallway,and the rates charged were as much as I pay a licensed plumber!!!

Emilia, the owner, came to the house the first time to show her employee everything that needs to be done. Emilia asked if if we wanted to use "green" products which we said we did so she made recommendations and even bought them for us so we had everything on the first day. (We reimbursed her for the supplies.) Both women who cleaned our home did a thorough job. We are now on a regular schedule with Emilia's Cleaning for every 2 weeks. Emilia is professional and straightforward.

I participated in a tour of historic homes and requested the cleaning only one week before. Emilia was able to come the same day to give me an estimate and provided someone to clean the day before the tour. The cleaner was late due to traffic from a far away suburb but did an excellent job when she arrived. She paid particular attention to the bath and shower and floors and we were very happy with her work.

I have been very pleased with the service and plan on continuing cleanings on a regular basis going forward.

On the initial visit, Emilia was very thorough in going room to room with me to assess my needs and explain what services would and would not be included, and she made sure I had clear understanding of the services and price. She also came with her employee the first time and spent 20 minutes explaining everything. I was glad that it was important to her that she have the same woman coming to the house each time because this is also important to me. The house looks great when I get home and I have no complaints, though I feel if I did have any concerns that Emilia would respond in a professional and prompt way. I have already recommended her service to 2 friends. I also like to confirm by email each month that the cleaning person is coming, and Emilia responds to email promptly. Overall I am extremely pleased with the service and price.

Overall, it's been a great experience. Everything is cleaned from top to bottom in my home and I haven't had any issues with things not being cleaned or being overlooked. Emilia is very responsive with scheduling or rescheduling too! Thanks Emilia!

I spoke with Emilia one day and she arranged to meet me the following day, in the evening (to fit my schedule). She was prompt. The apartment was extremely dirty. She and her partner spent 5 hours cleaning from top to bottom every surface, inside and out of all cabinets and appliances. They even took down light fixtures and cleaned them! They had another professional clean the carpet within the given time frame. It was IMMACULATE, and I am a very picky person! Emilia offers prompt, professional service - the best I have seen in Chicago. I wish she came to the northshore!!

Theresa showed up on time and began in the kitchen with the dishes, cleaned the floors, cabinets, reordered my counter space, and then proceeded to clean the entire rest of the house with equal efficiency.

Emilia was very responsive and came to our house and gave us an estimate very quickly. The person who came to clean our house did a very thorough, excellent job.

Emilia was incredibly responsive when we first contacted her for a "deep cleaning." She was able to come to our place for an estimate that upcoming Saturday, provided excellent insight on the cleaning methods and products most appropriate for our place, and committed to the actual cleaning that same week. She and her colleague did a very thorough job, and we were so happy with the results that we signed her services on for bi-weekly cleanings. They're great; Emilia and her team have been responsive if/when we've had to change the schedule, and are responsible, timely and professional. The costs for both the deep cleaning and standard/bi-weekly cleanings were fair and reasonable.

Emilia was pretty responsive and called me back the same day. She came out and was a little late due to faulty GPS directions, but I showed her around and told her what I wanted done. She said it would take 2 people 4.5 - 5hrs to do the job and they could do it the day I asked. The surfaces are still really dusty, as are all the floors. The cabinets aren't clean on the inside either. They were done 3 hours ahead of schedule too, so I'm not sure if they stayed the 4 - 5 hours or if they got there early or what, but I won't use her again probably.

Emilia's Cleaning went way above my expectations. She came out personally the same day I contacted her to give me an estimate. And she was extremely flexible and bent over backwards to find one of her employees to fit our needs and our schedule on extremely short notice. Also, the rate she quoted me was the most reasonable compared to the companies that actually did respond to my inquiry (even though they responded days later). The house cleaner she sent out was wonderful. She spend five hours cleaning our filthy apartment. I can safely say that it has never been this clean and we will definitely be using her again. She washed our kitchen and bathroom floors by hand, vacuumed under furniture, cleaned all the baseboards, and dusted the entire apartment. Everything was spotless and our experience with Emilia's Cleaning was amazing. I highly recommend them!

Emilia was incredibly prompt in responding to my request and flexible in scheduling. Once the new tenant moved in, the tenant called us to tell us that the maid service had not cleaned the oven. I contacted Emilia and she told me that the maid had forgotten the cleaner and did the best she could to clean it. She went back and cleaned the oven, but I wasn't happy that I had to find out from the tenant that the oven had not been cleaned. We also reimbursed her for parking in the building ($25) since it is only paid parking in the building.

overall went well, there were a few items that I found that I was not totally please with, but they were small and can be taken care of on next visit. We moved in Oct 09, went right into the holidays so there was a lot of dust from moving and holiday. There are 3 levels to clean 4 bath rooms and floors to polish and mop. The person was very pleasant, and professional. Came in started to work and kept working until done.

Aneta has come out twice now and she has done a great job. The first visit she spent 2 hours just on the kitchen and bathrooms doing a deep cleaning. Last time was quicker as we had tried to keep her hard work in good shape! :) Aneta is fantastic with our 3 year old daughter who thinks she is wonderful and likes to follow Aneta around and "help." A big thank you to Emilia's Cleaning!

Great general cleaning. They do a wonderful job with our hardwood floors. We're really pleased with this company.

Emilia's Cleaning has been doing our house cleaning for about 3 months now, and I couldn't be happier. From the first date when Emily came in with the woman who would come to our house every other week and clean to their scheduling flexibility with the holidays we've been extremely pleased with their service. When our house cleaner comes she is very thorough and the house looks and smells great. Emily is very easy to work with and is exceptionally responsive to e-mails when we need to rearrange the schedule, etc. I also enjoy that we have the same person come to our house for each cleaning, that's much easier for us and our 2 dogs. They also use your supplies and are very willing to take specific direction on certain items. Two thumbs up for Emelia's - we're very happy with their service to date.

They did a great job. We didn't give them much notice of when we needed it cleaned and they were able to fit us and several friends into their schedule. They seemed very pleased to have the job and we would use them again or recommend them anytime. The cleaners don't speak english but Emelia tells them what to do ahead of time, so it's not a problem. Emelia came out ahead of time to give us an estimate and tell us how it works. My mother has never had a housecleaner before and she was quite realived to find it so workable.
