Margaret arrived on time and started working immediately. She is a very fast worker and did a great job. The inside of the refrigerator had food spills all over but looked brand new when it was finished. She even offered to clean windows and cleaned on top of the ceiling fan. The tenant's belongings were still there so she had to work around the items that were in the front part of the unit. She even helped me carry my supplies downstairs to my storage room. I would hire this agency again because I called the same week I needed the service done and Emilia scheduled my job even though a couple other agencies either ignored my call or told me they couldn't do it.

I've had Emilia's cleaning my condo for almost a year now and they consistently do a great job. I've tried several services in the past and it always seems that after a few times the level of cleaning deteriorates, but not with Emilia's. I have the same two cleaners each time, Eva and Eva, and they are always on-time, and do a great job, quick, quick quick! One of the things I like best is how good they are with my dog, who is not crated during the day. I wasn't sure if they would be ok with having my little furball at their heels while they cleaned, but they love her and I can tell she loves them too from the way she goes nuts when she sees them. It's nice to have that piece of mind that she's in good hands when I'm not there. Another great thing is how flexible Emilia is and how promptly she returns messages. I LOVE that she's a text messager as that is always the best way to get a hold of me! My schedule can be hectic and erratic, but she is always happy to find a date that works for me for my monthly cleaning. They use all your own products so you know what is being used, which is especially important to me as I have a pet, and what they mostly use is vinegar which I love because it's eco friendly and dog safe. If you love coming home to a clean house, especially one that you didn't slave over yourself, Emilia's is the way to go. Highly recommend!!

Our housecleaner worked efficiently and got through most of the tasks I had on my to-do list. I would work with this company again.

They called back very promptly and set something up. I explained carefully that the apartment was now empty and I wanted it cleaned thoroughly to show it for rental. I specifically asked for all the floors, walls and cabinets to be cleaned. I asked for the kitchen and bath to be cleaned thoroughly. I explained it was a 3-bedroom duplex. The person sent was waiting for me when I arrived. She worked heroically to get the job done but there was not enough time allotted to complete the work. Numerous things were left undone through no fault of the person who worked for me. She was scrambling. After she left, I found that though she did a good job on the fridge, she didn't touch the freezer. Walls were dirty, shelves in the pantry were either completely untouched or done in a so-so manner. Overall, barely adequate job for which i wound up paying over $34 per hour, given that she started at 8 am, took a 15 minute break, and left at 11:45 am.

We've been using Emilia's for several months now on a regular schedule and have been very pleased with their overall service. We found them through Angie's list and overall their service has been good. They're always on-time and punctual, and I know if for some reason they need to change an appointment I will get a call or text message well in advance. The ladies from Emilia's are always flexible and willing to help with miscellaneous tasks as they come up (cleaning up a Christmas tree, packing up old decorations, washing and drying sheets, etc.) - and they never charge extra. Generally the bathrooms and kitchen are spotless and well attended-to. The apartment carpets and floors are always clean, and usually bedrooms are organized and dusted (though, like any service, on occassion they may miss a few pictures or hanging decorations - nothing major). Overall, very positive and reliable experience and well priced at $85 for a two bedroom, two bathroom condo unit.

I used Emilia's Cleaning initially for a last minute housecleaning needed before a visit from relatives. I was so impressed that I now use them for twice a month cleaning. It's been a great experience - my house has never been cleaner and the staff couldn't be nicer or more professional. I would highly recommend Emilai's Cleaning!

I tried Emilia's cleaning for their 4 hour special and back in the Fall and have used them ever since. I have Patricia come in monthly for a deep clean. They are fantastic and the quality is amazing. They are always flexible and responsive and their pricing is very reasonable.I used the larger commercial services and found them to be overpriced and poor quality not only in the cleaning, but also their customer service.I highly recommend Emilia's Cleaning!!!

She vacuumed furniture on the first floor, but not on the second and left cabinets sticky. I tried them a second time because of high Angie ratings, but the second cleaner, two people this time, was worse than the first. The floors were still dirty to the touch after they left, as if all they did was sweep.

VERY, VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED. Our previous cleaner literally ran off with a boyfriend leaving us stuck for a cleaner.I have fibromyalgia, allergies and at the time a 10 month old baby (now 14 months old). This seemed perfect. The cleaner arrived a little late but went right to work. Very personable but soooo slow! We have a 900 sq foot condo and did not need her to touch the baby's room or our bedroom. Just living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. In 3 1/2 hours she only cleaned the kitchen. Sort of. Everything had to be redone. She kept cleaning one corner and then the storage shelves even though I kept saying no, don't worry about them and reminding her of the time. And then she did a quick clean of the one bathroom, and left EARLY! Never got to the rest! When I told the company, they said if we scheduled weekly cleanings that eventually everything would be clean. Um....No thanks. Would rather someone just clean it all properly. Our regular monthly cleaner did the whole place spotless in 3 hours and often had time to spare!

Fantastic job! My walls were dusted and cleaned. They even cleaned out my refrigerator.

We were very thankful to have help in getting our home back in livable shape after a 6-month project. In particular, wiping down all the stuff in the basement was a big task and was done well. Cleaning was done on 2 different days--the crews showed up on time and worked efficiently. The existing bathroom that was cleaned was done decently, but maybe since we weren't looking for a deep-cleaning, it wasn't especially impressive (maybe we have inflated notions of what 'professional cleaning' would look like). There was some confusion about how partial hours were to be billed--the crew thought one thing and we had heard something else (or gotten the wrong impression) when speaking directly to Emilia. Would suggest that Emilia make sure the policies are well understood by her crews so that customers hear consistent rates.

Initially, Emilia was very responsive to schedule a consultation and was very professional with my wife. We really wanted this to work out with her company as we are seeking a regular cleaning service. After promising my wife that she would communicate a variety of things that we wanted done in our home and that they would bring their own cleaning supplies, none of the above happened. They missed a variety of easy cleaning details (like my nightstand) and other window sills in our home. They did not clean the inside of our oven as promised nor the freezer as we expected. I think these are reasonable requests for a deep cleaning. They knocked a picture off of the wall and I come to find out, today, that they broke a couple of my Blackhawks bobble heads that I collect on a shelf in my memorabilia room in the basement. That was not called out by the service and it took me over a week to see it. This was the straw that broke the camel's back and got me to write this. She followed up with an email asking us when we wanted her to come back, my wife let her know there were a few miscommunications and truth be told, we were going to give them another chance (until I saw the broken collectibles) but Emilia's response to my wife was something like, 'OK, thank you.' Didn't even try to make it right or earn our ongoing business. Really too bad, I imagine that good help is hard to find and in this business, the owner sets the tone but the people doing the work represents the company.

The prompt scheduling of the visit was great, and the owner was very professional. On the day of the service, the cleaning provided was sufficient. Unfortunately she arrived late, and she spent a lot of time talking on her cell phone. I don't think she used the entire number of hours I was told would be taken to clean. Given that, her late arrival, & the amount of time on the phone I cannot rate the overall experience higher.

Not happy at all. It would seem that if you don't watch the work that is being done, you get lousy service.

High prices, mediocre cleaning, and poor professionalism. We used Emelia's cleaning a number of times to perform monthly cleaning services for our home. We had some issues with the quality of their work (seemed rushed/missed spots) and had considered switching cleaners on a number of occasions. The breaking point came when we asked Emelia to clean after we had the house painted. Although it may have been dustier than usual, the ranting voicemail I received from Emelia was not warranted (she also proceeded to call and yell at my 9-month pregnant wife). Although I was equally as rude the last time we spoke, I don't think this is any way to treat your customers. If Emelia felt the cleaning was more than a 3 hour job, the appropriate response would have been to call and explain the additional cost (not yell at a paying customer). There are plenty of housecleaning services in Chicago - I suggest choosing a different one.

She was very kind and arrived on time. I was happy with her thoroughness in my home. She washed the outside of the cabinets, kitchen and laundry room floors. scrubbed the black marks, that I couldn't remove, from the burners of our cooktop. The kitchen and laundry room and baths looked very good when she was done. My only issues were that in four hours she didn't get to another part of my home that I needed. Upstairs baths especially. and that I don't use chemicals in my home. I think she was confused by that as well. I had everything that was needed to clean without them, but it was very difficult to explain. ll in all she did a good job, just didn't get to the rest of the first floor or the upstairs of my home.

I emailed Emilia's Cleaning for an estimate to clean my 2bdrm 2 bath condo after seeing a coupon for cleaning services on Angie's List. I was VERY please at how friendly and responsive Emilia was! I was a newbie at having a cleaning service come, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. Everything looked great and there were never any problems! I was under the impression that the payments were monthly rather than every cleaning. I probably should have asked more questions when Emilia came to give an estimate. It was slightly more expensive than I anticipated... The only reason I wouldn't use this company again would be because of the cost. I would recommend this company to others though based upon the excellent customer service!

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. It was $89 for 4 hours which was a ridiculously good deal. I plan to use them again. They were detail oriented and timely. They did a great job and they were fast. They were punctual.

Slightly above average. The worker came to clean for 4 hours and sometimes she did a better job than others. I tipped her well for Christmas. She was a little rough on the blinds with a few of them permanently bent on several areas. Sometimes she skipped the powder room shower stall beacuse since it is not used much it looks ok at first impression. Not great attention to detail. My main gripe is Emilia's lack of willingness to accomodate. I was a customer for close to 2 years. I called every 4-6 weeks. In late Feb. at the time of my usual cleaning I called and she said the worker was booked for the following week.. Because this problem never came up I asked her what was a reasonable amount of time to call in advance/ She didn't quite answer but explained that the worker had steady 4- week appointments the entire next week and that the following week following it could only be on a Wednesday. I asked her how we could fix this, hoping she would try to accomodate. She never offered an alternative or another worker or a compromise. She "laid down the law". When I complained, she added that if I was not satified I didn't have to use them. I said I would not and thank you for your time.

2 girls came out and worked non-stop for 2 hours each. I had made a list that I never figured they would finish. Amazingly, they completed everything on the list in the time frame. My house looks and smells fabulous!

My husband purchased a coupon off Angie's List for a four hour cleaning by Emilia's Cleaning at a discounted price. Maggie arrived right on time at 8 a.m. and spent the next four hours doing a thorough cleaning of various rooms in our condo. I didn't know if she would be able to accomplish all we asked in four hours but she really hustled and did a great job. She even stayed about 15 minutes late to finish the job. I offered to pay her extra for this but she declined, saying something along the lines of she wasn't going to leave the job not finished. I was impressed and am enjoying my clean condo.

She charges me $84 for the whole house cleaning. It’s a light cleaning. She’s very thorough and prompt. She’s good at keeping her appointments. I will use her services again in the future.

Elizabeth and Caroline have been cleaning my condo for nearly 2 years. I have been very pleased. I have had the same two ladies the entire time, and their work has been most satisfactory. I recently had them do a "deep" clean for me in order to prepare for winter. They took the time to solicit my feedback prior to leaving for the day. Further, nothing has been broken in all the time they have been cleaning my home. They are always punctual and amenable to when I need changes to my schedule. I recently was able to email Emilia the day I was scheduled for a cleaning. She promptly replied that was fine and rescheduled for another day. Emilia is always reachable via email which is great convenience for me given my hectic professional life. If there is ever something extra I would like done, it is as simple as leaving a note. Finally, the price has been quite reasonable. A previous provider charged me much more.
