Emilia's Cleaning Inc

They showed up a little bit late, but made up for it in the quality of the cleaning. We moved into the house about 6 months ago and have been doing update projects ever since. It has been impossible to keep clean. Emilia's hit it all - floors, dust, showers, etc. Our kitchen & bathrooms look fabulous. I would recommend them, especially at one of the deal prices.

iWe have Emilia's service come in twice a week, and they do a fantastic job! Emilia is easy to contact and always fast to respond. The service is very responsive and professional. We have been using Emilia's Cleaning service for a few months now, and though we have added more duties then originally needed, they have always been willing and helpful. I appreciate the work they do and would highly recommend them.

They do not do move out cleaning and that is what I needed to have done. I wish the ad would have been more specific.

Emilia's cleaning inc is by far the best service I've had! I have gone through 4 other services and nothing compares. Communication with Emilia is very easy and she works well to make her customers happy. Anna is amazing! She has no problem cleaning anything and always comes with a smile. I will continue to recommend them and use their services.

Hello. I?ve used Emilia?s cleaning for a few years now, so feel I am pretty fairly armed for an accurate review. If I was to think of 3 words of their service, I would use (1) consistent (more or less), (2) inconsistent (in cleaning), and (3) stubborn. On the first point, they do tend to show up, and I?ve only had a few no shows or last minute shifts. Emilia typically tries to accommodate a quick schedule shift, but only if it is at her convenience. On the second point, they are very inconsistent in their cleaning. I?ve had many streaks on my floors. I?ve had rooms left unclean. My counters have been skipped. My stove has been barely cleaned. I have a couple cats, and they now refuse to clean any hairballs on the floor. How are you a cleaning company if you don?t actually clean!? They are also inconsistent in some simple things?for example, there have been multiple times they have closed the room where the cat litter is, or left the plastic tracking mat up?which is not really ok, but would me more so if I didn?t travel for business. On the final note, one of the biggest issues is Emilia herself. She is rude and crude, and her staff don?t respect her. I?ve had my housekeepers get terminated for ?stealing her customers?, which may just be their attempt to try to do a better job without the evil hammer from above. Also, when you bring up issues or requests with Emilia, you are most likely going to be given a smartass response, which is not what you need on a commodity service. All in all, there are way too many cleaners in this city,and there is no reason to put up with Emilia as your provider. UPDATE: As you can tell by Emilia's response here, she (1) lies (there was never anything intentionally left, (2) is extremely defensive, and (3) simply not someone that you want to have in your life. For what it's worth, she held my keys hostage for 2 weeks before finally sending them.

They were great! They did basic dusting, vacuuming, washing the floors and bathroom. I will be using them in the future and think their price for normal services is a B but for the deal I got a great value.

Housecleaning services I was contacted promptly after purchasing my Big Deal regarding setting up an appointment time with me. I was very hesitant about using a housecleaning service as I never have before. Realizing that I needed help with organizing, cleaning, moving some small to midweight boxes, and cleaning all surface areas, I explained to Emilia's via email the circumstances and requests. I understood and am aware that this is not a typical service that would be provided by a housecleaning service. I needed to express my needs in detail in order to see if this was something they were willing to assist me with. I imagined that the housecleaner and I would work together in order to be efficient and this was explicitly described. I was assured that this was not a problem and a date was established. I was told that "Emilia" would come with the housecleaner on that day to give me an estimate. I had to clarify if this was also the day that my cleaning was going to be done and was told yes. The housecleaner showed up promptly but without Emilia. I asked if she was aware of my organizational and cleaning needs before entering my condo (1300 sq. ft.) She said "no" so apparently there was a significant lack of communication. Immediately upon entering the housecleaner became upset stating loudly that she did not organize or "move things" or lift things and that she cleaned, only cleaned. She contacted her supervisor and began an extended cell phone conversation in my home in a foreign language that was highly spirited, for lack of a better word. The English words I did make out clearly were "awful, just awful." After the phone conversation, I was told that her boss told her she only had to stay for 3 hours. This was disappointing and at this point I was also a bit offended and angry but decided to make the most of my 3 hours with this now rather hostile person. She proceeded to dust my entertainment center at lightning speed, simultaneously lifting my figurines, picture frames etc but did not make an effort to be gentle and I cringed at the sounds of fragile pieces being clanged together on glass as they were put back in place. Nothing was broken or damaged but this was quite nerve-wracking. I was constantly asked "what's next?, what's next?" The best answer I could give was that I was not sure. For lack of space and an abundance of "stuff" that needed to be somehow stored or moved in order for things to be cleaned, this essentially created a rift within our first 10 minutes. I might add that I was also scolded regarding my own housekeeping habits. And no, I am not a hoarder. "You just have to do it, even if you don't want to" I was told. Well, yes. I am aware of this. The help is what I needed and precisely the reason I hired their services. The bottom line: the living and dining area looked better and neater when completed. I offered her a tip and she declined. My experience was more stressful than it was worth. Not to mention that I did not receive the 2 additional hours of services paid for. However, I did not request these additional hours be credited nor did I complain or contact the owner/manager. I did not want to have another similar experience. I feel that I chose the wrong business or service for what it is that I needed. However, I was reassured that this could be handled by Emilia's. Perhaps it would have been best if someone would have come out first to say yes we can do this,or no this is outside our scope and saved us both time and energy. The young woman who came to clean my home is a task master. She would likely be excellent if left to just clean (bathrooms, floors, windows, etc.) as she worked very quickly and seemed to have her methods down to a science. I would not use their service again even if for cleaning ONLY specifically due to the lack of communication, the rather unprofessional conduct of problem-solving and complaints regarding my housekeeping skills in my presence.

pretty good job. we hired service for a while after the first time customer deal. they ranged from good to ok. it depended on who was sent to do the work.

I had used Emilia's Cleaning for a while (actually 4 years). I had always paid and received her "Regular Cleaning" (which was okay, not great). Recently I ordered a "Deep Cleaning" to get my place extra clean (The "Deep Cleaning" service is described on her website). I asked Emilia beforehand how much time it would take to perform the service and she indicated that for a 1-bedroom it would take about 4-5 hours. On the day of the deep cleaning I happened to be at home. The cleaning lady came and only stayed for an hour, and basically only performed what was normally performed for my Regular Cleaning. None of the extra Deep Cleaning tasks (detailed on Emilia's website) were performed - i.e., the inside of the oven, inside of the refrigerator, outside windows, baseboards, etc. I figured that Emilia forgot that I scheduled a Deep Cleaning instead of my usual service. When i paid the regular cleaning fee, Emilia immediately sent me a text message to let me know i owed her more money because a deep cleaning was performed. I replied to explain what had happened with the cleaning person she sent. Without apology, or even a phone call to clearly understand my issue (which was straightforward), she told me to "find a new service". That's it! After 4 years of being her regular customer, she tries to rip me off and then dumps me as a customer (over text message) when an instance of dissatisfaction comes up. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Showed up late and did not clean for the 5 hours in which we paid. All in all, cleaning went pretty well.

We hired Emilia's Cleaning for our home the day before our wedding, knowing that there would be many photos being taken in it. We have a Siberian Husky who sheds like non other, and we were really hoping to have no traces of her hair. They were on time, quick and effective. When I got home my kitchen was spotless- and I mean SPOTLESS!!! I have absolutely no complaints, and will definitely be using them in the future!

Emilia answered the phone, personally,when I first inquired about cleaning services (I didn't have to leave a message). She was very thorough in answering my questions about the service and able to schedule the cleaning on the day requested. I asked for "Anna" who had the best reviews and Anna lived up to the reviews. She consulted with us on exactly what we wanted done and made additional suggestions on best materials to be used. She cleaned for four hours straight - no breaks! She left the house in great shape with nothing undone. Best of all she got rid of the unsightly mold in that had started to build up in the bathtub grout. We have scheduled Anna now for monthly cleaning.

The first time this provider came to my house, it was immaculate. The second time they came, they did not clean my entire floor, forgot to put plastic bags in the waste cans and when I contacted Emilia to explain these items, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. I have also had some jewelry missing since they started. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM.

Cleaning was excellent and very thorough. We were pleased and will use them again.

I would recommend their service, they cleaned my condo, extremely well. My hardwood floors were so clean that I kept sliding on them. My bathrooms were cleaned very nicely, and my kitchen was spotless. I also have lots of areas that dust can build, i.e behind my knickknacks. All these area's were cleaned and nothing has dust on it. The best work that I have received since moving to Chicago.

I had a fabulous girl come out and she did a great job. She cleaned my whole house; I have a basement and she cleaned all that. I just started using them; I just found them. She was awesome.

It went really well. What I expected I wasn't disappointed in any way.

Company representative (Emilia?) responded online in a very timely and prompt manner as we communicated about scheduling appointments. Cleaner (Maggie) was prompt, personable and was very helpful in doing everything that I asked as she worked alongside me to deep clean 2 bathrooms in 4 hours. We were very pleased with Maggie's work, and requested her to come back for a follow-up visit, if she is available. I will update/rate their service again separately for the 2nd, follow-up visit.

Very professional. She was on time friendly and hard working. She did everything I asked and more. I would use this service again and highly recommend them.

It all went very well. I bought the coupon back in April & it took a few months for me to use it. In the meantime all communication was responded to very promptly - which I appreciated. My house is small & pretty messy and I did my best to clear off surfaces & clutter in order for Anna to do her work adequately. She was able to do our small galley kitchen, living room, dining, two bathrooms & some of the finished basement. Unfortunately because of the clutter she was unable to do our bedrooms. All in all I am satisfied with the outcome and Anna, the cleaning gal, was a very nice lady. I would hire them again.

She did respond to me quickly after the purchase and apologized for the inconvenience, but I was too far away from her service area. She just requested that I get a refund.

They did an excellent job! I would highly recommend their service, would definitily work with them again. Professional and prompt response, and very flexible. Thank you.
