Paperhanging Plus

Great experience from the day of the estimate to the end of the job. Glen is very knowledgeable and explained the entire process in detail. The work that needed was the entire second floor of a typical bungalow. I needed the walls, slanted ceiling and flat ceiling wallpapered. I had it painted twice by professionals but the imperfections of the surface were too apparent. I contacted a few "wallpapering" companies from Angie's list. One flat out told me they wouldn't do it, another asked for the room measurements but never got back to me. Another came to my home for measurement but never heard back from him. Apparently wallpapering ceilings, slanted of flat, is extremely difficult. Glen was the only one willing to take on the challenge. Glen stated he is familiar with wallpapering ceilings and it shows. The results were better than I imagined. The surface looks smooth and clean lines. He really pays attention to detail. Knowledgeable, punctual, friendly and professional describes Glen. I would definitely hire again.

Excellent. Glen arrived on time, professionally dressed in painter's white. He brought his supplies in in a container, cleaned up daily, and put the room back in order. He is very knowledgeable and offered guidance for the next steps-that we plan to do ourselves. We also plan to have Glen complete some wallpaper repairs on "special" paper from England. He know his stuff!

Better than I hoped. Glen did a precision job. I was extremely happy with the results. He obviously takes great pride in his work and it shows ! After repairing the walls, he painted them as well as the woodwork and door.

Well I did not have enough wall paper for the work. Therefore the complete job interrupted for several weeks to order more paper. Job was completed in two visits.

The job took more time than I expected. The paper was difficult to remove and the effort led to some small damage to the walls. Glen was punctual and did a professional job. He thoroughly explained the situation I faced.

We thought it went very well. Glen was punctual, hard working, and he gave good advice. He was neat and he cleaned up leaving our kitchen in excellent shape. He is easy to talk to and he listens to your concerns. If you put your project out for bid Glen is not likely to be the low bidder. However, in our opinion his work should command a premium.

Great. He removed the wallpaper and the backing and paste that was left on the wall.

It ended up to be a $600 job. After three hours, he didn't have all the wall paper down. He said it was difficult. He was not even half-way finished, a third of the way through the job. I asked what it's going to cost to finish the job and ended up with another $480 dollars. I don't know if the wall paper was really difficult to get off the wall or if he was just slow, but I would not recommend him. I felt that after three hours, if he hangs wall paper and removes it, and my wall paper was sized, I thought she should have had more progress than he did. What he did, he did a nice job, but he was just very, very, slow. I expected that he would be able to remove wall paper from my wall that was sized. It was half of a kitchen and included three good sized windows, with a bay window. It ended up being a 2 day job. He had one wall about 12 feet, and the other 3 walls had three good sized windows, so he had wall paper along the top that was about a foot, and along the bottom that was about a foot. So, it wasn't a whole room. He may be a good painter, but I wouldn't recommend him for wall paper.

Excellent! We selected Glen based on his many years of experience as well as his credentials. He thoroughly described the process to us and was very professional. The job was more complicated because of the original condition of the wall beneath the paper, but, when finished, Glen made it look flawless. He arrived on time and completed the work as promised. He left everything in meticulous condition. He made this redecorating project easy. We will use his services again very soon.

Disappointing. After two and half hours, the wall was prepped. Some strips were cut. Then it was discovered that the wallpaper roll ran short. So one roll was not enough for completion. No one to blame but manufacturer. However, I felt like the work progressed so slowly that this insight should have been discovered in an hour's time. Since I am a major DIY'er, I know how to wallpaper..... and gauge the appropriate amount of time for a task. I can't judge service for quality since the job was not done. Also, not sure a client should be charged for clean up time. That was a first for me.

I bought 3 hours of wall paper removal but it was not enough to complete all 4 walls. Provider was able to have done only one wall.

I was very pleased with the work. Part of the walls weren't sized properly and due to the age of the wallpaper it took a lot of elbow grease to remove it. Glen Cerny did a great job. He washed down the walls about 5 times to make sure that all the residual paste was removed and that the walls were ready for paint when he was finished The "deal" was for 3 hours and from the start I knew that it would take longer. Glen worked all day and the price was well worth it. The cost below is for the special and the extra time. I would highly recommend him for this work.

Glen did a great job. The original deal was for 3 hours, but from the start I knew that it would take a lot longer. He spent the day, removed all the paper (which had been up for probably 20 years) and washed the walls numerous times to make sure they were ready for paint. I was very pleased with his work. The price below is for the special plus the extra hours.

Went great! He was very precise and such a perfectionist which I really loved. Just it takes a long time to wallpaper long than I imaged so I would recommend buying the deal for more hours as opposed to just 2

This provider went over and above the expectation that I had. Provider was very knowledgeable and professional in providing information during the planning phase about textures and colors of paints and polyurethane that gave me knowledge to be able to choose the best colors and products to maximize the best outcomes for the completion of the project and ultimately for a much greater profit and the very quick sale of the property. Provider bought the correct products, prepped, painted and even had to re-paint and trim after the carpet installation and electrical work had damaged the original services provided. Provider came back continuously without delay or excuses and always left the work site clean and orderly. In several occasions when older parts were needed, but unavailable for upgrade he was versatile and great with improvisation to complete the tasks. Provider made my old wood cabinets look like new with polyurethane, he even blended in old blemishes with special materials to make a consistent finish that matched the new counters and appliances. Provider called each day at the same time to inform me he was on his way and did not miss a day, he even worked on the 4th of July to complete the project on time.

Glen knows A LOT about painting and is professional from start to finish. It was obvious from the conversations we had before the work was done that he knows his stuff. His consultation before the work was done was very thorough and he was well-prepared. He is very detail-oriented and meticulous in his work and gets the job done right.

He did a very good job. He was prompt and personable. Easy to work with. Did a good job of plastering work.

I thought Glen did an excellent job minimizing damage to the drywall considering the fact that it was not treated at all prior to the paper being hung. Glen was very neat, and did a great job cleaning up after he finished. I found him to be personable and easy to deal with. Most likely I will use him to complete the bathroom...repair the wall and paint. I am awaiting an estimate.
