Paperhanging Plus

It's so nice to know that I can call Glen at Paperhanging Plus in Berwyn for any painting needs at my home. Once again in 2022, I called Glen to paint bedrooms and a lot of woodwork and moulding that was just installed. It's a lot of work to prep "raw" conditions like new casings, new crown moldings, new doors, all new baseboards, etc. There are nail holes and extensive caulking, and sanding necessary to do it right and also to correct the mistakes of the previous carpenters. Glen pulled the look all together and my home is a showpiece now! So relieved!

Oct/2021: My family & I have hired Glen for several years now. He did the interior painting of my home about 5 years ago, & has done paint work for both my sister & brother. This time around it was for three exterior windows and the trim around my garage door. I appreciate the care -- and the time he takes to PROPERLY do the essential pre-work that is required for a good job. I like his attention to detail and the fact that could see that the previous window installers neglect to caulk properly around the window and brick. Glen took it upon himself to fix others' mistakes and I didn't even have to point it out to him! Now the windows really pop and are secure and watertight for the coming winter.

12/3/2021: Glen has been painting at my home & my siblings' homes for years now. I hired him back twice at my home this year and will again in 2022. This time around, he painted three rooms of my house and all (newly installed) moldings, casings & trim. There was a LOT of prep to do to cover the nail holes left by newly installed trimwork & Glen always makes sure the prep work is done well. You can't have a good outcome unless these details are handled. As usual, Glen has good attention to detail and was even able to patch some gaps left by the previous flooring guys. I didn't think anything could be done with those gaps, but he tackled it anyway and the improvement is great. He knows his stuff and I could not be more pleased with the results. What a difference a professional makes when invited to your home!

After having worked with Glen to get some wallpaper hung, I'd say he is "measure twice, cut once" to the core. What do I mean? From our initial contact, he thoroughly reviewed the specs of the wallpaper I'd purchased and asked a few questions (that I turned around and asked of the manufacturer) to ensure he had all the preparation, materials, and understanding of the paper that he needed to do a great job. After he understood all of that, I got a price quote, and it was on par with another quote I'd received. I appreciated the effort Glen put into researching what he would be hanging so that ultimately, he'd have the right tools for the job, and a happy customer. When Glen arrived, he was right on time and did an amazing job in much less time than I'd expected. I definitely recommend Glen and might be motivated to buy more wallpaper myself knowing I have a pro to turn to to make it look great!

It was great! The wallpaper looks perfect! They were professional, courteous, fast, wore their mask, and they cleaned up after themselves

Guy called promptly. Then called again asking for pictures and such. Never came out. Then was saying that I probably didn't order enough wallpaper and he didn't want to start a job and then not be able to finish. I found someone else and by the way, I had an extra double roll of wallpaper. I think the guy just was not interested in doing the project.

It went very well. Glen and Joe were very friendly and nice to work with. They were prompt and professional. The wallpaper we had chosen was unpasted so Glen called the manufacturer to make sure about things like what kind of paste was recommended along with the kind of primer the manufacturer recommends, he double checked our measurements so we were sure we had ordered enough paper and paint for the job. I would definitely would hire them again for any future work and would recommend them to friends and family.

Glen did a great job. Good communication, prompt and a complete professional. Would definitely hire again.

I would highly recommend Paperhanging Plus. Glen, the owner, is very professional and it is very obvious that he takes pride in the work he does. My wallpaper was hung perfectly; you can't see a single seam. I was totally pleased with the work he performed. Very professional - upon arriving he gave me a folder with his credentials, insurance, and awards. He was so pleasant to communicate with and making arrangements for the date and time for the work to be performed was easy. When the job was done the room was left spotless. I would DEFINITELY hire him for my future wallpaper or painting needs. I'm so glad that we found him.

Glenn, the owner of Paper Hanging Plus was very professional from the first contact. He asked me a number of questions about my job so he could give me a precise estimate and bring the right tools for my job. Glenn showed up promptly with his employee. I was very impressed when he gave me a folder with a copy of his professional license and contact information. Glenn completed the project on time and the workmanship was excellent. He even had to fill in a narrow sliver (a few cms) between the end of one strip and the wall corner, and it blended seamlessly. I would definitely use him again for wallpaper.

This Fall of 2018, I hired the same painters that my sister hired -- Paperhanging Plus of Berwyn, IL. She liked them and their painting services and I like a good recommendation. I had them paint the ENTIRE interior of my home, ceilings, closets, walls, baseboard, doors, THE WORKS ! I just moved in and I wanted everything clean and smelling great. Glenn and his staff did a GREAT job, very, very thorough and took the right amount of time to do it right. Great clean up and full protection of the job site is appreciated. Painting was perfect, no misses, no splatter, and the paint job cleans up well too as they used good paint. This was a HUGE job of course and took about a week. I will call them back to do outside painting this coming Spring 2019.

Glenn was prompt when I called for an estimate. He provided good suggestions. Definitely knows what he's doing. The job went well, he did a great job and threw in some extras which was nice since I thought the price was a little high but since I didn't have another estimate to compare not fair to say. Glenn was great to work with and easy to communicate with which means alot.

I called Glenn to repair walls where the wallpaper had not been completely removed. That is there was latex paint over clumpy paste and paper (backing) that had not been removed. Getting someone to bid on this kind of work is hard. I learned a lot about wall paper just from Glenn's questions. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I wrote a check with an incorrect amount and he returned it immediately. Watching Glenn and Joe work, I can see the quality in how they do things. Their equipment and supplies are very organized and well maintained. I did not know that going in, but it was good to see someone who tool pride in what they did. The result was very good, it was done on time, and they left the room and property clean and free of debris. I would totally recommend Glenn again.

Glen was helpful and thoughtful throughout process. Carefully determined how much paper was needed, followed manufacturers instructions to the letter with proper primer and paste. We have an old home with crooked walls and he was able to hang the vertically-striped wallpaper perfectly! Delightful personality, timely service, great to work with. Highly, highly recommend.

VERY WELL. GLENN DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. HE WAS PROMPT, NEAT, PROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD CERTAINLY USE HIS SERVICES AGAIN.

Glen was extremely detail-oriented and even called the wallpaper manufacturer twice to make sure the paste instructions were correct. It was clear he wanted the project to end up as best as possible. We were very pleased with the results and we would certainly recommend them for any future projects.

In the process of decorating my daughter's nursery, I decided to create a feature wall using a damask wallpaper. Glen was so helpful during my paper selection process that I knew I couldn't work with anyone else. With each paper I considered, he calculated how much I would need and what the installation process would entail. When I finally settled on a paper, he quickly put me on his schedule. Great. Came on time and did a very professional job

They showed up exactly, and I mean to the minute, when they said they would. They did a quick and professional job. Drying time, etc., prevented them from completing the repair but, and this is important, they took the time to teach me how to do what was left to be done. This saved me money and, more importantly, means my dining room will be ready for Thanksgiving. Thanks.

It went better than I expected. The owner, Glenn is the nicest person you will ever meet and is professional, punctual and particular. Professional - 1st thing he did when we met was provide copies of his credentials to put me at ease and ensure I knew he was qualified for the job. He made sure to explain the process thoroughly to me. Punctual - Glenn ALWAYS returned my phone calls timely and was on time for our first meeting and the day of installation. Particular - The manufacturer instructions for the wallpaper I had chosen was not very specific regarding which paste to use. Glenn was adamant that we find out the manufacturer instructions for proper hanging. He wanted to make sure there were no issues and if there were, we could go back to the manufacturer and say we hung the paper according to their specifications. I really appreciated that he didn't just slap the wall paper on the wall and took the time to do it right. He went so far as to call the company himself when I was unable to obtain an answer about which paste to use. All and all this was one of the best experiences, I will definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends.

I would be willing to use them again in the future. They were very thorough and detailed. They left the area very clean when they were done.

Very well. Glen & Company did a great job. Everything neat and tidy after he left, like he was never there, except that my windows and doors look fabulous.

I purchased a Big Deal for three hours of wallpaper installation or removal, painting, or plaster repair. He started to take down some paper in my bathroom and after three hours he wasn't quite done, and he wanted to charge me like $300 to finish the job. I said I would have to think about it, and ended up finishing the job myself. For what he did, he did a good job. He cleaned up nicely, but the job wasn't complete. I don't know how long it should take to take down wallpaper, but I put the paper up when I was younger, and sized the room, and I put a coating on it to make it easier to take off. He should've been able to take the paper off. The price was okay. He was very nice. I would use them again in the future, but I would make sure that he realized what the job was, the price, and that the job would be completed.
