Description of Work: Replace entire roof shingles of existing 2 unit building in Chicago Illinois.This was an Angies list deal so we signed up. |After months of waiting we finally got the company to come to replace entire roof shingles. We had explained our insurance carrier requested this be done as soon as possible. Unfortunately the roofing company would not start until weather would be warm enough to do install. This caused a 2 1/2 month delay.To make matters worse-when the weather did finally permit we practically had to make sure to follow up with them to make sure they would come and finally do the work. | |Once they arrived they charged double the original estimate due to an existing sub layer of cedar shingles that would need to be removed. Granted this was not foreseen we agreed to do the entire project. Everything would have been fine except for the fact they damaged the exterior metal fascia and did a poor job of repairing it even after it was brought to their attention. it looks terrible and was not in that condition after they did the work. | |No I would not recommend- unless you have alot of time to schedule and dont mind possibly having damage done to exterior fascia of your roof.. Needless to say- we had to change insurance carriers due to excessive time to repair roof because of this.

R.K. Roofing ran a special on Angie's List for garage roof replacement. The Owner responded to my phone call promptly, and was able to see the work needed the same day. Always prompt and courteous. The price was excellent as I had other companies quote me from $2,300 to $3,500 for the job. The work, roof replacement, came with a life-time guarantee on the shingles. He did a beautiful job and left the site clean and orderly. I strongly recommend R.K. Roofing for any roofing job.

Work was done promptly and correctly. Workers were knowledgeable and passionate about getting the work done right. Work was performed over 2 days and any issues that popped up were discuses immediately with us to see what we wanted done. Very please with the work performed.

Well-engineered. His crew seemed very efficient and professional. Cleaned up after themselves.
Description of Work: Complete new roof. He tore down the old roof (which was causing water damage in attic) and put up a complete new roof for my sister's inlaws who live in Wheeling, Illinois. Rafael wanted to do everything right, he was honest, efficient and always got back to us promptly. He didn't waste our time and we felt we could trust him. He was also very knowledgable about insurance compensation. My sister and her husband were so happy and relieved!

I’ve never seen a guy so wonderful. It was great to open my door and feel so safe. Great head on his shoulders. It had been a very rough time in my life and had had some issues with contractors as well. He was incredibly trustworthy and will definitely recommend him to anyone. I am so glad! They called back to check up on the work and see how I was! I appreciate that so much! I recommended him to all of my neighbors and they have done almost all of our community now!

Rafal of RK Roofing came out and explained what happened and fixed the problem right away. He also had his guys clean our gutters which was a very nice thing to do!Last year my neighbor needed an entire new roof and I recommended RK Roofing ( Bensenville) and they were extremely happy! They told me they were pleasantly suprised at how nice and professional they were but especially how CLEAN they were! They made sure to clean up every scrap of material from the lawn and bushes!
Description of Work: My hubby didn't clean the gutters so we had what is called an "ice d***" that caused problems with the roof. I am not positive how much my husband paid but he said it was not much!Rafal came out and explained what happened and fixed the problem right away! He also had his guys clean our gutters just to be nice! Last year my neighbor needed a entire new roof and I recommended RK Roofing in Bensenville and they were extremely happy! They told me they were suprised at how nice and professional they were, not to mention they CLEANED up before leaving!

He is absolutely phenomenal. He is the most honest businessman I have seen in a decade. I recommend him highly. He has decked up everything he has done for me, and he saves me a lot of money as well. There is nothing I have dislike about him. He is an amazing guy. His workers are clean and neat. If anything goes wrong any time, he is readily available to rectify it. He is a very young guy, but he is very honest. I cannot say enough about the guy. I have been using him for six years, and he still helps me with my roof when anything goes wrong. I rate him high for everything. I think he deserves an award. It is very hard to find a person like him. I wish he could do more things other than roofing, and I would have hired him for everything.

5 years ago they did a complete tear off of my roof with a 5 year warranty. They did a clean, neat job with no problems. Last summer, I had hail damage to various areas of my house. He came to look at my roof at no charge, and I also asked him if he could spray paint vents that had been damaged. Over the late spring of this year, a downspout fell off. He sent a couple guys out to replace it and to spray areas that had not been touched up yet. This summer, my attic fan broke down. Since the fan was under a 10 year warranty, I was able to get the parts. Even though I was 2 months out of my warranty with him, he installed at no charge. Over the 5 years, I have spoken to him on numerous occasions for recommendations for other workers and on repair work. He is gracious, accommodating, and I will be hiring him next spring for additional work.
Description of Work: Five years ago R K Roofing put on a brand new roof on my home. This year they returned to fix a number of items. Some of these were still under warranty. Others were not. R K did not charge me a penny for any of it. They advised me on some hail damage my roof sustained, reattached a gutter that had fallen, and graciously fixed a fan in the roof, all at no charge.
