The guys came on time. They were all very nice. Went to work immediately. They never took a brake . We had a lot of repair work done to our roof and they kept working in the rain and finished up in the dark. They cleaned up the whole area and you would have never known anyone was here. My property was spotless when they left. I would definately recommend them to my friends. Rafal quoted me addional pricing for the extra work that needed to be done and what he quoted is what I was charged. Very Honest, hard working guys !!!!!

Everything went great.I didn't expect so many bad boards but they took pictures and showed me the problem.

They were very good and did a very nice job installing our new roof. There was no upselling or hidden charges, just a well done job on the terms we had agreed to. My only qualm was a slight one - at times it was difficult to get the project scheduled / re-scheduled but I attribute that more to the fact that they were incredibly busy than to any failing on their part.

I contacted RK Roofing on a Tuesday for an estimate to replace the roof on a 2-flat, with both a flat roof and a pitched roof. I was disappointed that the estimate process would not involving going on a ladder to see the condition of the current roof. I was promised a written estimate based on measurements from the ground by the end of the week. It's a now a week later and I still do not have an estimate. I'm wary about a company that cannot keep its promises for an estimate - would they keep their promises when it comes to the work?!

This review is long overdue (done in May of 2013), but could not let it slip through the cracks. It's not typical for us to have a great experience with work being done on our home, but this was exceptional. Rafael came out and gave us an estimate for a tear off of our roof and replace it with a new one. He was early for the appointment which was nice for a change. Once we signed the contract, he and his crew were out in less than a week. They covered our air conditioner and perimeter of the home when they were tearing off the old roof so nothing was damaged. Our neighbor was concerned about debris getting on her driveway. Rafael assured her that they will clean up thoroughly. He did as promised. The crew was pleasant, conscientious and thorough. Excellent! They cleaned everything up and ran a magnetic roller to pick up any metal debris. The entire experience was great. We would without a doubt recommend them to anyone who needs a roof.

After accepting the contract and advised that it would be two to three weeks before work could begin, our first pleasant surprise was when we receive a call eight days later saying that an opening had occurred and work would begin the next day. The work crew was right on time the next morning and went to work immediately. They set up tarps and boarding at all areas where protection was needed - for bushes, flowers beds, and glass walls of the sunroom. They were methodic in all their preparations, and efficient with the removal process, with several men loosening and removing the old shingles, sending the debris over to a third man who gathered up the material and carefully tossed it into the salvage truck. Upon clearing the shingles and old felt, each board was checked for wear and each loose nail was either removed or hammered down flat. All wood needing replacement was removed and replaced with new wood. The crew spent all day on the house and completed 97% of the job by days end. Keep in mind my house is a Cape Cod, with very steep roofs, which require extra preparation and skill while re-roofing. On day two the crew arrived again on time and began work immediately, starting with the garage and finishing with the sunroom, and the last part of the house roof. The entire work areas were cleaned up after each days work. There wasn't a piece of roofing, nails or any other material left on the premise! Not only was I very pleased with the results, but I received many compliments from my neighbors on how good our house looked. I had selected R.K. Roofing from several "A" rated roofing companies, due to the over-whelming number of positive reviews on Angie's List, and due to the price quote, which was well below the others I had reviewed, but the work specifics were all the same, and Rafael seemed to be the most sincere and honest. Every detail of the job was explained, discussed and verified to my satisfaction before I accepted the contract. There was not one issue that needed any attention beyond the original effort. I was over all very pleased and satisfied with the finished job, and would highly recommend R.K. Roofing to anyone who is looking to have any re-roofing work done.

They did a great job and were very punctual and professional about everything. The owner of the compant, Rafal, actually came to our house after the work was done and sat down with us to review everything. He also went through all the photos of the work and explained everything. We've had a ton of work done on our house, from re-piping to masonry work, and Rafal was by far the most thorough and professional service provider when it came to billing and explaining what each charge was. He did charge us an additional 2% credit card fee, which I wasn't too happy about, since it's my personal belief that any credit card fees (just like insurance, taxes, etc.) are just part of the cost of doing business and should just be incorporated into the pricing. In fact, I know that in some states, it's illegal to charge credit card customers more.

Rafael from R K roofing was great. I placed a call and he came out and gave us an estate for replacing the roof. Additional cost, like replacing any rotted wood, were discussed up front. When issues arose they called me up and discussed my options.. I had a lot of rotted wood. They took before and after pictures of everything they did. I had other quotes just for the tare off and install, R K was by far the lowest and highly ranked company. They were prompt, clean, and worked very hard, even through rain! I would use them again.

These guys did a terrific job. Arrived punctually, and worked until dark the 1st day. Finished on the 2nd day. The roof looks great and the tuckpointing was really well done (looks really clean and crisp). Cleaned up all debree and it looked like they had not even been here. A great value for the price (they were the most competitive of my bids) but I hired them based on the reviews on Angie's List and am very happy I did. Would highly recommend them.

We are very happy with the work performed by R K Roofing Inc. The workers arrived promptly, worked steadily and cleaned up afterwards.

I had two leaks. Four other roofers from Angie's List either tried to sell me a new roof or offered to fix the leaks for $700 - but with no guarantee against future leaks. Rafael came to my house when I was at work. He went on the roof and called me on the phone. He said he couldn't determine where roof was leaking from, but he caulked up everypossible area that could be the source of the leaks. He spent about 15 minutes on the roof and didn't charge me a fee. The next time it rained hard, I went up to my attic where I had dish pans to collect rain water. The dish pans were dry. I know I still need to replace my roof in the near future, but I am sold on Rafael. He fixed what 4 other roofers couldn't or refused to. Even though it's a temporary fix, it allowed me to delay an big expense that I didn't have the money for. I am grateful for his help. This is an honest contractor who knows what he's doing. You know who I'll be calling when I do replace my roof.

I contacted this organization a couple of times due to the amazing garage re roofing special. I wanted to see if my garage qualified. I never heard back

He did a fine job. He even removed an old satellite dish that was on the roof and replaced the section of wood under it that was rotting.

From the first contact RK roofing was wonderful to deal with. Their quote was over $1,500 less than the next cheapest company, but they were using the same quality material. We had just had a newborn when RK Roofing was coming out to start the job. The workers noticed this and did everything they could to minimize the noise under where the baby was sleeping. We did not ask for this, but they did what they could. Obviously getting a roof replaced is not a quiet job, but they were fantastic. On day one they removed the back part of our roof, replaced a few sheets of plywood, and put new shingles on. On the second day they finished the job on the front part of the roof. Their cleanup left our yard as spotless as can be expected. A few very small pieces of wood (slivers) and tar paper. Not a single nail was found. They had gone over the entire yard multiple times to ensure no nails were left behind. I would highly recommend RK roofing to anyone. Everyone involved in the job has been fantastic.

A little slow w/getting back to me, but Rafael (owner) was a very honest guy. They did great work. Very professional and respectful. Cleaned up after where you didn't even know they were there. No damage to flora. I'd use them again and would recommend.

They replaced the entire roof on my house and garage. They tore off the existing roof to the decking. installed the felt paper, applied ice/water shield along gutters and valleys. They replaced and added mushroom vents. They also replaced a broken exhaust fan. They installed a new chimney wall flashing. He guarantees all his work and the guarantee is transferable to the new owner if you sell your home. My final thoughts are: I've had a lot of work done on my house over the years both inside and outside. Rafal is by far the BEST individual I've worked with over the years. I have very high standards and quality, punctuality, attitude, follow-up etc. are imperative. I would highly recommend R.K. Roofing, Rafal, to all without question.

This company did great job in the replacement of the roof of my house. The work started in 10 business days after I accepted the proposal, and it took two solid days to finish the work. During this process, the old shingles and all the mushroom vent caps were replaced, and the covers of attic fan and fireplace chimney were polished and repainted. At the end, all the debris was nicely cleaned up, so was the dust in the gutters. The roof went through the first rain today, and I did not find any leakage. I appreciate the courtesy and professionalism of the staffs, and would recommend this company to anyone with similar needs.

Rafael was excellent and adjusted his schedule to move my job up. The workman were very courteous and pleasant, everything was cleaned up and only took 1 1/2 days start to finish. He did my neighbors roof. I would recommend him to everyone.

R K Roofing Inc did a great job and there was actually like one, you know they put like a trim around the garage, like a border and my husband noticed that one of the pieces of wood wasn't, you know, straight all the way and they came back and fixed it right away, so they did great. We spent more because we actually had them replace a wood trim around the garage, just a little bit more but I thought that it was a good deal.

The workers arrived on time they were professional, courteous, cleaned up and completed the work in one day. I am very happy with my new roof it has made a very nice difference in the appearance of my house. Rafael seems to have a well run company, he arrived shortly after his employees he asked if I had any questions and advised that I could reach him if I had any questions throughout the day. I have recommended R.K. Roofing to friends and family.

Rafael offered the best pricing and value of the 4 "A" rated roofers I contacted in my area. His crew was professional, prompt and very thorough from start to finish. Other than the new roof, you couldn't tell any work had been done they cleaned up so well.

These guys were terrific!!! They set.up the work to be done,within a week of contacting them. They arrived at 8 AM and finished at 8 PM. They were very professional and needed no supervision at all. It was 92 degrees outside and they worked non-stop, except for two short breaks and a very short lunch. They had to remove two layers of roofing and then replace with new roofing. They also noticed that our exhaust fan wasn't working and replaced that as well. They were very obliging and removed an old satellite dish that we no longer used. They cleaned everything up when they were finished and the only thing left was a beautiful new roof!!!! Rafael at R K Roofing, returned our call promptly, scheduled the job quickly and his workers were extremely professional and polite, we would definitely use them again and again!!!

The team came on time and did a fantastic professional job. After completion of the work Rafael explained in detail all the work that was completed. The team left our property very neat and tidy. Called Rafael for a quote and set-up meeting for following week. He was prompt, courteous and informed. He proceeded to climb onto my roof and assess what was required to bring my roof back into proper functionality. He mentioned to me - upfront - of possible hidden roof deck damage that the tear-down may reveal and how that would affect the initial quote (which was right in range). I agreed. The day of the install, the crew arrived 10 minutes early and immediately began setting-up by covering my bushes, lawn and stairs when tear-down began. I had only one layer so that went fast. As warned by Rafael earlier, there indeed was significant damage in key run-off areas of the roof.deck so I asked one of the crew members, Stanley, to video those problem areas with my FLIP camera for my records - he kindly accommodated me. Rafael was right there as well, and we discuss the best way to proceed. Given the condition of the original roof deck and the total square footage of the damaged areas, I chose re-sheathing the entire work area. He gave me a great price on the plywood that was the proper 1/2 inch code thickness for this application. Rafael also informed me of the importance of proper roof venting and how it can allow you to get the full life out of the shingles as well as preventing ice damning in winter and "cooking" shingles in the summer - turning them brittle and problematic. He suggested box vents on the street-side of the roof peak. Street-side because of an almost flat yard-side pitch. But I HATED those box vents besides, they would aesthetically detract from the nice clean lines you get from the street.. Unflinchingly, Rafael created a one-sided ridge vent that worked perfectly to accommodate me - Thanks again R. As the crew worked they kept me abreast of any issues that arose and kindly videoed the stages of the install as it progressed. They started at 7:50am-finished at 7pm with only one break - lunch. During clean-up (which was minimal) they took a rolling magnet around the 3 sides of my house to insure no stray nails could injure my cat. All Business -- No monkey-ing around. All Professional - Job done perfectly. All Good - The roof, the site both look Great. Clean as a Whistle. They did it like it was THEIR OWN house. Will DEFINITELY Recommend.
