When researching for furniture repair or refinishing LOOK no further than Montalbano! Do not bother with anyone else. This family run business is outstanding for workmanship and service and such a pleasure to do business with. Thank you Richard Montalbano you are a rare find.

Initially, I made a wasted trip. Nobody was at the location during regular business hours. Staff was on vacation during holidays and they had shortened hours. Later they contacted me and were very professional and reasonable. The repair work was excellent.

My husband had a small bookcase that belonged to his father, probably from the 20s or 30s. It had quite a bit of intricate detail. Montalbano's work was beautiful - the bookcase looks amazing and we will pass it down to our children.

They did a really nice job. The quality of the work was great. It took them a long time to do my chairs. The price was fair.

The repair was expertly performed and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately for me, the shop is not near my home, so I might look for a different furniture repair provider in the future. People who choose to go to Montalbano, Inc. should get precise directions as the shop is a little tricky to find. It is located in a warehouse/light industry area that feels off the beaten path, yet is near major highways.

The work was done beautifully,as is all work I have ever had done by Montalbano,Inc. This company takes incredible pride in their work and it shows.

A chair that had belonged to my grandmother and then to my mother was looking very sad. Its frame was cracked,the wood was sun bleached and dull,and the fabric was out of date and shredded by a cat. The frame was completely repaired and the cracked areas are invisible. I brought a drawer from another piece of furniture that I wanted the chair's frame to match and it is perfect. The chair shines like a new penny and makes me smile every time I see it. I have used this company before and their work is exceptional.

Everything they did was fine. The repair was fine and it was a really small repair. They contacted me, and they were very willing to work with me as far as helping me get there because they are difficult to find. It’s a little tricky to find them. So they were helpful in giving me directions. They seemed very pleasant and I was pleased with the repair. They can’t help where they’re located, and if I’d been right there in that area then I might have known that area better. The price was fair. I’m actually going to look for someone a little closer but if I can’t find anyone closer yet, then I would use them again.

Very response to initial call. Submitted pictures of chairs for estimate as requested. Richard pick-up chairs and night table within a couple of days of initial call Returned items within 10 days.

Replaced cane backs and stained ton match chairs and reupholster seats. They did a great job will be using them again.

I can truthfully say it turn out better than the day I purchased it.

Working with Montalbano's was incredibly easy. They were efficient, polite, on time and very gracious. I had a couch, which had been my Mother-in laws it was over 50 yrs and well worn from her kids and mine. Montalbano's explained the process of gutting it and replacing all of the inside as well as the exterior. They had thousands of patterns and fabric to choose from. They picked up the couch and a chair, gutted and reupholstered them fairly quickly. The couch and chair look great and are very comfortable. They also made 4 Throw pillows from the matching fabric, they didn't turn out as plush/full as I wanted them but all in all I was so pleased with the quality, efficiency, and their polite manor I gave them a table to change the color and 6 chairs to reupholster. Everything was delivered and is looking great.

The chair I had reupholstered looks great. My only hesitation with using them again is around price. I had my own fabric for half of the job and ordered about $50 of other fabric. It was a small side chair with an upholstered seat and back. The cost seemed quite high for the work needed for such a small piece.

Well I wasn't too sure at first, the furniture came back so grey, I sent it back and They matched(as closely as possible) an existing piece of furniture of a different wood species. They did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job. They made some glass tops(the furniture goes in our granddaughters room) and everything was perfect. They even clear coated the interior of the drawers. The two men who delivered the furniture (Juan and Benito) were polite and so careful. I would use them again and recommend them, too. The total time, including re-doing the finish, was 7 weeks for 5 pieces. We're very pleased!

The table and chairs came out far better than the day I bought them, i would recommend Montalbano to all my friends and family.

They were great and prompt. They picked up the couch and a chair. It looked great and it was a very, very professional job. They were also very nice. I went in and took a long time to figure out what material and what pattern I wanted. You just know you can trust them. They also decided to throw in matching pillows for me as well. The pillows were not very thick and fluffy, however.

The work was beyond our wildest expectations. We found them on Angie’s List. We went to meet with them and describe what we wanted. They explained they would restore the wood and they were going to create new curved glass and put it into the place where the glass was previously broken. They gave us a time frame that was three to four weeks to do the work and we dropped it off. When we showed up to pick it up, it was just gorgeous. It was my wife’s grandmother’s antique china cabinet from when she was a child. The value has been restored and is worth at least what it was paid for. They took great care, were very friendly, and did what they said they were going to do. We would highly recommend them to other people.

It worked out very well. We have used them before.

I got him from Angie’s List. He does a variety of things. He does refinishing, re-upholstering and restoration. He also restores antiques. He was fantastic and I loved it. He does beautiful work. He was timely. He wasn’t too pricey and I thought he was very reasonable. It was he that came out. He finished the whole thing.

It was fantastic! They did all of the work by hand, and the pieces now look stunning.

Montalbano's price is much higher than the other two estimates I've received, so I chose not to have them do the reupholstering.

At the time we contracted for the work, Montalbano was moving. They needed a little more time because of the move which was fine with us. Once the chest had been picked up, we went to their establishment and discussed what was possible in the restoration process and what wasn't. They called us a few times as the restoration was taking place to make changes or recommendations to agreed upon steps. We appreciated their recommendations and the end result benefited from our willingness to adjust and their expertise.
