Description of Work: I had an ejector pump burn out and stop functioning. I had a little sewer back up in the basement and called Kwiatkowski Plumbing based off the reviews here on Angie's List. The services performed were to remove the old pump out of the Sewer Pit and replace it with a new one.

A few months ago we needed to have our drain snaked, and we were informed then that a new water heater would be a good investment in the near future. Our old one was leaking and making noise, so we finally decided it was time to replace it. We called on Tuesday evening, and they came out Thursday morning to replace it. The service was fast and efficient, and I was very please with the service. I would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: My toilet was leaking from under the bowl. Mark scheduled to come out the next day and arrived as promised. He replaced the wax seal and added additional material to make the toilet seal correctly. This is an older home [built 1953] and I think the flange is different than they are now. Anyway, he fixed it properly and did a good job of cleaning up afterward.

+ 0 moreThe Giannini brothers arrived exactly as scheduled and completed all work within a single day. They carried away all debris and cleaned up nicely. The work involved cutting away part of a cement patio which was handled very professionally. Both Kwiatowski and Giannini are very good at their work. Their solution to the flooding problem was perfect. After days of heavy rain, there is no water whatever inside the house. I highly recommend both these companies. I would hire them again.
Description of Work: Kwiatowski Plumbing contracted with Sylvio Giannini Cement Work to excavate a trench around part of my house to put in drain tiles to alleviate flooding inside the house.

We scheduled the work for a mutually agreeable date, and Mark and his assistant showed up on time and performed the work for the amount he had quoted. All of the work was performed well, and the fixtures are functioning properly. I highly recommend Kwiatkowski Plumbing for quality work at reasonable prices.
Description of Work: Replacement of approximately 30 LF of corroded kitchen sink drain pipe with PVC drain pipe. Replacement of a toilet drain trap.

+ 0 moreWe were having a problem with our laundry tub not draining properly and were unable to un-plug it ourselves. Mark promptly called us back and even came out the same day (Saturday) for a small additional charge. He asked us a few diagnostic questions over the phone and was confident that he would be able to fix the problem within an hour. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was very professional and was able to fix the problem within about 20 minutes. A hole needed to be drilled in a pipe in order to get the clog out. He explained everything that he was going to do and recommended that we use lint trappers over the drain in our laundry tub in the future. Everything was left exactly as it was found. Someone else had quoted us $400 to do the same job that Mark charged $140 for! We will definitely give Mark a call in the future when we need plumbing work done. Thanks!!!

He provided me with a detailed quote in a timely fashion and broken down in the manner I asked for. I made my choices and he followed up with a phone call to set up a convenient time and advised me that Clint would be performing the work. Clint arrived right on time and verified what I wanted done. He then proceeded with the work and showed me what he had done. He was very polite and efficient. All work was done at the quoted price and with my Angie's List discount. I would not hesitate to call them again as the quality of work was excellent and the people most accommodating.
Description of Work: Replaced a burst outdoor faucet, including a new shut off valve. Installed a new Zoeller Sump Pump, Quiet Check valve and secured new piping to wall.

I called Mark on Friday when I found the flood and he first suggested contacting the city to be sure the problem wasn't with one of their main valves, which was a good idea. After the city checked the sewer and found no issue Mark came out that morning and snaked out the line. We ran the washing machine and flushed the toilets and everything went great. He was very proffesional and went out of his way to help me move stuff around my garage to bring the snake in without going over any carpet.

+ -1 moreI called them on a Sunday morning to see if they could do the work that day. My ejector pump was filled to the top, the motor was making noise like it wanted to eject the water, but it was not ejecting. The owner said that while he could come out that day, it would be better to wait until Monday morning in order to avoid the weekend overtime rates he would have to charge (as would any other plumbing company). As long as it wasn't an emergency and we still had bathrooms to use on the upper level of the house, it could wait. During the initial phone call, he asked what type pump it was and had us try a few different small things to determine what the problem could be. Clint showed up at about 9 a.m. Monday and finished the job in about an hour's time (maybe a little less). Very professional. Did not leave a mess. Gave me a discount of $20 for being a member of Angie's List. Would definitely use again.
Description of Work: Replaced switch on ejector pump in crawlspace.

In the fall another plumbing company, who I have had rod my sewer twice in the last 2 years, told me I need to spend $4500 to replace a sewer tile, I was skeptical so I waited. I started having issues again about a month ago. Mark Kwiatkowski came out today, same day service, and rodded the sewer line and told me he does not feel I need a new tile. He rodded the sewer twice with two different size cutters and also gave me some good advice. I appreciated Mark's speedy service and honesty, and I will definitely have him here again to do some other plumbing work in the future.
Description of Work: Unclogged the sewer line after rodding about 80' twice.

Description of Work: had a bathroom sink I thought I could fix my self. Bought a little snake at the hardware store took sink apart and proceeded to move the clog deep into my pipes. I gave up. Called Mr Kwatkowski in the afternoon he came out the next morning and rodded my line. Problem solved.!!!

+ -1 moreThey came out within 2 hours of my call. I had a very plugged up kitchen drain that took a long time to open up. Fortunately, the service person, Clint, was monitoring the drain pipe in the basement because it began to leak. When he pulled down the ceiling tiles, the foulest material poured from the pipe and splattered everywhere. He advised that he could replace that section only or the entire length of the pipe. I opted for total replacement because I was afraid of more leaks in the galvanized piping. Clint and Mark replaced the pipe and cleaned up the spilled material with Clorox and water so that the only hint of the repair was the opened ceiling and the new PVC pipe. There was no smell or mess. They also hauled off the tiles and pipe to the curb for garbage pickup. Clint told me the old pipe section was still pretty clogged. The drain would probably have been clogged again soon. They were so considerate and careful. It is difficult for me to schedule days off and when I can have a service call go this smoothly in one day, I'm thrilled. My call for a clogged drain turned into a more complicated situation but they took care of it the same day.
Description of Work: Kitchen drain was rodded out and 30 feet of galvanized drain pipe was replaced.

I appreciated that Mark suggested the rodding before resorting to excavation of the drain tile. They tested the drain to make sure it was moving the water. They worked quickly, cleaned up the area, and returned everything to its place. Mark was prompt, considerate, and saved me a lot of money and worry. They will call you back when they say they will. I will use this company again.
Description of Work: My sump pump drain was throwing water on my driveway to the point that neighbors were complaining. I had received other, very expensive estimates from other companies. Mark Kwiatkowski, the owner, said they would try rodding out the line and proceed from there. They spent about an hour and a half rodding out the line, removing roots.
