They came in about half hour as promised. They (Mike and Ariel) are the best! Knowledgeable, professional and don't try to sell you something that you don't need. They fixed the both switches and the battery back up. Excellent job! People you can trust.

Mike was unbelievably helpful. He asked me detailed questions about my problem and then spent more than ten minutes explaining to me in detail why my problem had occurred and how it could be remedied. Rather than simply offering to come out and give me a quote, he gave me extremely valuable suggestions for how I could address the issue myself. His willingness to try and solve my problem at the lowest cost to me is a true testament to his professionalism. When I do have a more significant problem which requires hiring a contractor, Mike will be the first person I call.

Excellent service and professionalism. Other companies tried to sell expensive and invasive solutions. Rite-way on the other hand suggested simply cleaning out the drains with a high pressure system, which solved the problem at a fraction of the cost. I'd defintely recommend rite way to anyone.

It went great. This guy is awesome. He promptly answered my phone call and we were able to set up a time on Saturday for him to come out and give us an estimate. He arrived on time and probably spent 30-40 minutes looking at our basement and the exterior of our house to pinpoint the problems. He doesn't try to sell you things that you don't need, which I appreciated. My husband and I mentioned a few things that someone else had told us we needed and he said that he would wait on those. I really appreciated his honesty. He is very passionate about waterproofing, which is what you want. He sent me an estimate about a week later. My husband and I were very impressed with him and felt that his price was fair, so we had them come out the following Wednesday. They arrived around 9 a.m. and were at our house until 10 p.m. that night working on everything. This guy doesn't take short cuts and you can tell that he likes to do things the right way (like Mike Holmes.) Anyway, we've had a few smaller rains since then and we haven't had any water problems. We will definitely be using them in the future if we ever have any other water problems. Don't bother calling the big companies that take 3 weeks to come out and give you an estimate, Rite Way is what you need.

I had significant water problems in my basement over the years, and had tried various methods without success. The work by Rite-Way went very well. One of the leaks was in the finished part of my basement and Mike went outside and saw an old crack at the foundation. He was able to open up a small 6 inch wide section of my drywall inside and found the crack first try. He also noticed that my downspout was near the crack and said that it was probably blocked, so he flushed it out (no charge). He also saw caulked a crack by my basement stairs at no extra charge. Excellent work.

Everything went well. Mike is exceptionally helpful. He did not take the easy way out in determining the source and kept investigating when the he determined the first source could not have generate the amount of damage that we had. He is not interested in getting in and out quickly, but rather in doing the job right. (Charge was not by the hour, but by the job, so the extra time he spent was most definitely not to inflate the bill). I would definitely trust Mike to provide an unbiased assessment of the problem and recommend a solution.

It was a great experience. Mike and his crew were here for 3 days, they worked their tales off. Pros...period. I love to see guys care about what they are doing. You won't go wrong with them.

Mike was fantastic from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable and very professional and very fair. I only wish that he ran other types of home improvement/maintenance businesses - I'd use his company for all my home needs! He did a thorough inspection, explained the multiple options/solutions - and the pricing structure. He didn't oversell - simply explained, answered all my questions - and let me decide what would work best for our situation. The work was done timely and neatly and Mike was very responsive. I had previously had numerous companies look at our issues and did not receive a satisfactory resolution - as, I believe those companies did not have the depth of knowledge to look at the whole picture and come up with a comprehensive solution - Mike did!

No complaints at all. He was prompt, explained what he was doing, did what he said and was fair on the cost. He and his men were friendly. He was paid upon completion after I was satisfied with the work. I'am a comercial property adjuster and work with contractors all the time. One with this quality and follow up is old school and you just don't find them any more and yet he is a young man and his company will have great futrue because of them making happy homeowners like me.

I would highly recommend Mike and this company. During a home sale, the buyer's inspector found moisture in the basement. Mike spent time at the site, diligently conducting tests to find the source of the leak. Once the source was located, he made repair recommendations. The source of the small leak was an above-ground window caulking issue, not a foundation repair so his company's service was not needed. Knowing that we would need documentation about the leak to satisfy the buyers, he submitted a letter describing the tests he conducted, along with his findings. I feel very good about Mike, knowing that he didn' try to sell me a service I didn't need. And he spent considerable time making sure I was satisfied even though I ended up not being a paid customer. Bravo.

Everything went well. About a week later there was an extremely heavy rain again & we noticed a small amount of water, only about 2" big by the wall. We called & they came out in less than 2 hours. There had been another small crack, and they drilled & filled & checked it right away. They did not charge us! We are very pleased. They were professional & courtious, too.

Mike could not see a crack. But he did not stop there. He continued to searchf or the source of the water leak. He concluded that our chimney needed tuckpointing and even took me outside to show me where ont he chimney to have someone do the repairs. So, instead of coming up with work to charge me for, he honestly told me that I did not need his service but someone elses. He was a very nice, honest person. I would call him again without any reservation!

Mike is a great guy. I thought I needed a sump pump to keep our finished basement dry and they dug a test hole that came up dry. Mike walked around the building and mulled the problem over and wasn't sure what to do. He came out a 2nd time when it was raining and I was pushing him to just put the sump pump into the area in my laundry room that collects water when there is a big rain or snow melt, but he wasn't willing to do it until he could figure out the source of the problem. So he walked and mulled some more (my place is an old, somewhat badly renovated condo building) - he was kind of making me crazy as he went from one area of the basement to the next to the outside and back a dozen times. Then he noticed moss build up in this one exterior wall and he put a hose on it for a while and sure enough he got a stream of water into the basement but in an area opposite where I thought it was coming from. He showed me how it seeped along the wall from the leak behind the furnace so I did not see the source. He then waited until it was dry enough, power washed the wall, applied water proofer, came back and inspected that it was drying properly and then cut grooves into the sidewalk to move the run off away from the corner of the building to the drain. He saved me lots of money as the sump pump would have cost $1,200 or more. More importantly he addressed the problem. Just a really great guy.

Excellent - Mike was very thorough in his initial visit, gave us a very detailed bid, answered all of our numerous emails with detail, and came back to review the scope to make sure that we understood exactly what was being done. He was very professional and super nice, and we were very happy to give him our business. Highly recommended.

I initially emailed a company which had gotten high Angie's list ratings and they never responded. It wasn't just a general email, it was a form to fill out for what needed to be done. After a few days of waiting for the response I decided to go with a smaller company closer to home, and Rite-Way had great ratings. I liked that I could email Mike and get quick answers. I don't always get around to calling, and email usually works best for me. Mike met with my husband, and my husband thought he was good - not always an easy sell, so that, along with the fast response time is what made us decide to go with his company. I gave a "B" on the price only because there is a minimum of $300 for work done. Not sure how close this would be to the actual price without a minimum, so it might only be a small difference. I was just happy to have the work done and this project over with.

Mike replaced the sump pump for us and improved some of the original piping to reduce noise. He explained related issues we were seeing in our basement. He communicated promptly and well using both email and the phone. Our problem was resolved in less than 48 hours.

The first time Mike (the owner) came out he must have spent 1-1/2 to 2 hours showing me potential problems and suggesting things I could to mysef. He never pressured us to do anything. Mike is very conscientious and is reluctant to do anything unless he is sure it's the right thing to do. Besides being polite and friendly, Mike is very thorough and absolutely knows what he is doing. We met two of his assistants and they where also polite and friendly. I believe he really enjoys his job and the challenge of fixing the problem. For this type of job where workers are going in and out of your house, you want people you can trust and I definitely would trust Mike and workers. They were very neat doing the job and cleaned up after better than it was before they came! I've seen on Angies List someone said Mike seems like a very honest guy who has the customers best interest at heart. I totally agree. I highly recommend him. You can work with Mike to keep the cost down. We did some digging prior to installing the membrane. We had a heavy rain right after the job was completed, and had no water leaks. We're sure it would have leaked before he did the work.

Mike was extremely professional from start to finish. He was able to come out to complete the work with less than 24-hours notice and he was responsive to both phone calls and emails. He arrived right on time for the job, finished in less than an hour and a half, and left no mess behind. In addition to filling the crack, he was able to provide advice on other waterproofing issues.

Great experience! Mike is a waterproofing geek - do be prepared for an education when he comes by, he knows his stuff and likes to share. :-) I e-mailed Mike and got a "guesstimate" from him within a few hours based on the detail in my e-mail (he thumb-typed it on his Blackberry). We called during a time that basements were actually flooding in Chicago, so he asked if he could come out for the estimate a few days later. We scheduled the work, and Mike came out with his helper. The work was done professionally, and they were really clean. I'd recommend him to anyone. His estimate was much less than the competition, and he's the only one of the 3 we talked to that did the wheel-well part.

The experience with them was excellent. Mike Carrano is the owner and I was very happy with the service they provided. I would highly recommend them and hire them again if needed.
