Description of Work: I called because I had a basement sink that wouldnt shut off and was going to replace all the piping and even the tub. The tech told me he would not replace all that and actually just replaced the faucet with one I had already purchased. He also stopped a small leak on another valve and included it in the price so actually it was no charge.

 + 18 moreThey were out here within a couple hours after calling them and within 5 hours of my call the job was done - sump was replaced and the lower floor of my home was in pretty good shape. There promptness really stood out. They discarded some damaged rugs without my knowledge which I was initially upset about, but after talking to them the reimbursed me for the rugs.
Description of Work: I have a sump pump in my backyard and during a bad storm the lower floor of my house flooded and they fixed the sump pump and cleaned up the flooding.

 + 1 moreI really appreciate that they didn't come in and start proposing really expensive repairs from the start. The prior plumber I had in for an estimate wanted to drill a new clean out valve in one of the pipes (NOT NECESSARY!) and his initial estimate was almost $800. I hear cleaning main sewer lines could cost in the 100-200 range, but honestly, for the amount of time and effort they put in, and the confidence I had in their approach and honesty, I think it was $340 well spent. I now know that I have a plumber I can call in the future and not have to worry about getting ripped off.
Description of Work: I just bought the house a month ago. Brown gunky water was backing up into the basement utility sink. It turns out the main sewer line was clogged (lesson: don't use paper towels as toilet paper!!! they don't break down!!!). The plumber spent 5 hours working on it, systematically trying the least expensive job first (clearing the basement sink drain), and when that didn't work, he moved further down the pipes until he got to the actual clog. He then had his boss (the owner) come out to ensure he had gotten it done completely, and the owner spent almost an hour there too checking the lines and looking at the existing plumbing, telling me what parts of the plumbing were fine and what parts may need some updating a few years down the road. He also gave me tons of good information about the old clay sewer lines feeding into the 70 year old houses on this block. He's been in business in Waukegan for 30 years.

 + -1 moreAntonio did an excellent job. He was on time, he explained things and he was very professional. In addition, he took his shoes off and left the bathrooms in clean condition. The main problem were two toilet tanks when filling up overflowed water on to the bathroom floor. I had to turn off the water below the tanks in order to stop the overflow problem. I could not use either toilet due to this. Antonio replaced primary parts to both tanks and now both are working beautifully. I will use this plumbing service again and I recommend this company to all my friends.
Description of Work: Replaced major parts of two toilet tanks, replaced shower head, explained how a drain cap to a newer sink worked.

He really put a lot of effort into figuring out how to make the installation work for us and did a very professional job. The price was higher than I expected, but the job was very involved.

HE ANSWERED ALL MY INQUIRIES, AND EXPLAINED ALL THE MAJOR STEPS; I.E., DRILLING THROUGH MY BRAND NEW CERAMIC TILES, MY PIPES, ETC. THAT HE WOULD NEED TO DO PRIOR TO THE START OF THE PROJECT. THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL IN MY PROJECTING THE LABOR INVOLVED AND THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT WOULD TAKE TO COMPLETE. HE WAS ALSO VERY RESPECTFUL OF MY NEEDS AS A NEW HOMEOWNER, AND REMOVED HIS SHOES WHEN ASKED, AND POOR MAN, HAD TO PUT THEM ON AND OFF AS HE WENT BACK FORTH TO HIS TRUCK AND MY BASEMENT! OVERALL, THE WORK WAS DONE TO MY SATISFACTION, THE CLEAN-UP AFTERWARDS WAS GREAT, AND THE ICE AND WATER MAKER IN MY REFRIGERATOR CONTINUES TO OPERATE WITHOUT A PROBLEM.

 + -1 moreEDWIN DID THE WORK AND PAM WAS HIS HELPER. EDWIN TOLD ME HE WAS NOT A LICENSED PLUMBER AND COULD BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH. I HIRED THIS COMPANY THROUGH ANGIE'S LIST AND THEY STATE THEIR PLUMBERS ARE LICENSED ON THEIR LISTING. NOT TRUE - THEY HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO COME BACK AND INSTALL THE TOILET AND THEY DID NOT SHOW UP AND NOBODY CALLED. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK WHAT HAPPENED THEY TOLD ME 'OUR MANAGER WILL CALL YOU IN AN HOUR.' I TOLD THEM NOT TO BOTHER FOR I HAD HIRED SOMEONE MORE RELIABLE AND THEY JUST SAID 'OK', NO APOLOGY NOTHING. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS LIST SHOULD NOT BE RECOMMENDING THEM AND STATING THEY ARE LICENSED PLUMBERS. ONLY THE MANAGER IS SUPPOSEDLY LICENSED ACCORDING TO PAM.
