The work went well. They team they sent out was great and Olson did awesome work.

It was exactly as we expected with a NO extra charge guarantee. The salesman & office staff were wonderful - follow was great before & during installation - which was critical because it was during a huge remodel project. Kitchen door install was designed to fit with remodel schedule & much of our existing woodwork - entry door, framing, baseplate & hardware was replaced. Installation crew was wonderful and Olson was able to store the new door at their facility during our construction remodel. Best to select a contractor who can show you various door examples in their showroom Best to bring stain samples into your home to see how lighting will change their color Best to make certain contractor will remove all old doors & hardware We were able to match brass hardware on outside of door to match an existing door and brushed nickel inside door to go with kitchen with NO extra charge!

Tony came out and measured. He was very informed about the product. He also said he had a door that would work for us. He gave us an install date and they showed up and did the work, amazingly quietly. It was a difficult install because it was on a second story, but they did not seem to have any trouble. It is like have a new room attached to our house, more of a cabin in the woods feel. Just love it!

Kevin was promt to all appointments. He listened to our needs and suggested a couple of options. We chose to have Beechworth windows installed but were unfamiliar with the product. Kevin brought the mobile showroom to our home so I could view. The product fit our needs, as a older home wanted interior wood with the fiberglass cladded exterior for low maintenence. Installation crew was on time and competed our project within 3 days, and one day for painting the new interior trim. Compared to 2 other quotes, I feel we received a better product for a better price. One small issue was a miscommunication on the style of the new interior trim. The problem was rectified, but did add an addition cost on top of the orriginal quote. Over all, extremely happy with the new look of our home and would use both the Beechworth windows and Olson Windows again.

Everything went very well. They were very helpful in helping choosing the shingle color we wanted by bringing out 3 full shingle samples of the 3 desired colors so we could compare them on the existing roof. Trying to choose a color from small color samples doesn't work well. It was also good to see samples in both sunlight and in shade. Workers did a good job at protecting yard and other items with tarps. Gutter installer put leaf guards in upside down but this is how he likes to install them to protect the screen mesh. Will have to see how they work out.

The work was completed in 5 days. This included replacing all of the windows, 1 sliding glass door, custom cutting new trim and staining the windows and trim. The work was done efficiently and professionally. The crew was fun to talk to and didn't mind our kids asking questions and watching. They cleaned up after themselves and did everything possible to avoid damaging plants that were in the way. There was no damage left behind and the end result is absolutely beautiful.

We had a rocky start due to initial Sales person left the company and the new Sales person Tony honored the initial contract on the Windows and setup the install. Everything worked out perfectly and the windows were installed on time and without issues.

Olson Windows furnished and installed 21 new Pella Windows. Scott Thorson was prompt courteous and responsive. He listened to what we needed and surpassed our expectations for price and quality. The installers were very professional and completed the entire job in a few hours. I would recommend Olson Windows to anyone wanting a great deal and excellent service on some high quality windows and installation.

My experience with Olson Windows, Doors, Siding, and Roofing was extremely positive. I worked with Kevin (at the Warrenville location) on the initial design. He was very helpful and responsive to my questions, including accommodating last minute changes. He was easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the options available to me. The entire project went very smoothly. Kevin and George, the leader of the installation crew, were on top of things ever step of the way. George is a master carpenter. He helped me redesign my front porch with which I am very pleased. His work is beautiful. He, Tammy and the rest of the crew, as well as the painters were hard working, careful, neat and friendly. My landscaping was not harmed and they left my home picked up and clean. They did a wonderful job! I would highly recommend Olson. They offer a great value, a superb job for a good price. They provide excellent customer service; it is evident that Kevin, George, Tammy and the rest of the crew want to please their customer! I love my new house!

Would recommend Olson to everyone! Other then 1.5 days of banging & hammering our life was uninterrupted. I never heard the dumpster delivery or pick up!. Our roof was removed & replaced quickly! The gutter guy arrived earlier than expected & even worked in the rain to finish the job! I love the color I chose & so do my neighbors! Thank you Olson!!!

Great. Timely, Efficient and Professional

We had an overall good experience with Olson. We needed a new patio door and window. The door we had was purchased at a big box home improvement store and it never fit correctly. It had been leaking on our wood floor for a while before we noticed, We also had a window that was leaking. We found Olson on Angie's List and they had excellent reviews. We called and made an appointment and we received an email confirmation with our salesman's picture so we'd know who was coming. A very good safety feature. Our salesman, Pat Mcgrath came on time to the appointment, he was very personable and started our by telling us us some background about Olson that we found informative. He took measurements of the door and window, He was very knowledgeable about the manufacture's products that Olson sold. We let him know our budget and he gave us some recommendations and that he'd email us some manufacture's brochures and estimates. After narrowing down our choice with the options we wanted, Pat said there would be about a 2 month lead time. ( They were very busy) But as we were not in a time crunch that was fine with us. When the installation day came the installers were on time, very courteous and efficient. When they were finished, they cleaned up the area very nicely. After everything was done, we noticed a slight manufacture's defect in the door. Pat fixed the situation very quickly and we received a new door. We also received an upgraded screen as the screen that came with the door was inadvertently not sent. And one more thing, we had a small crack in our siding, we had a piece of the siding for the repair and Olson installed it for us for no additional labor cost! How many companies can you say that about?! I highly recommend Olson for your door/window/siding needs. This review is a bit late in coming as we did have the work done in July 2015.

The project was very smooth, from the beginning when Tony came out to assess our needs, through to accepting the proposal and scheduling the work, to the installation. The workers installed them quickly, in one day (9 windows & one door), and everything looks fabulous. The Marvin windows are really high quality and the style fits perfectly with our 100 year old brick bungalow. I would absolutely work with them again, and recommend to others who want high quality product, installed by professionals.

We had a wonderful experience with Olson. Our salesman Tony was very knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. We were pleased that Olson offered a wide variety of window brands. Tony didn't push any particular brand, but rather focused on what would work best for us. The installation team was professional, neat, and respectful of our home. Any issues that popped up were addressed quickly. We were very pleased that finishing the new interior trim was part of the package This saved us the trouble of finding and coordinating another vendor. We'd use them again in a heartbeat.

First of all Tony our sales rep was awesome. Prompt in responding, very detailed in measuring and making recommendations, and provided on-site follow up when the doors came, after they were installed, and later when I had a question about the adjustment screws. It wasn't a situation where you make the sale then disappear. The pricing was a little high but the quality was so much better than you see in the do it yourself stores. I will use them again as I replace all my windows and front entry door. I highly recommend this company based on my experience.

This is a review of my recent installation of Beechworth Windows provided by Olson Windows, Doors, & Siding, Barrington Illinois. First the process of finding the right windows and the right installer is the most important step to perform in getting replacement windows at a reasonable price and the best installation. Olson was fantastic! After a 4 bid process for windows including Andersen, Marvin, and Pella windows, Beechworth was the clear winner and Olson as the provider. Tony our sales person is commendable for his professional advice and assistance. The windows are fantastic. I have fiberglass on the outside and wood interior. The wood detail has the quality of a master craftsman. The installers started on a somewhat warm day at the end of February and replaced all 25 windows except for the final aluminum trim encasing the old wood frame and sills. On the second day, March came in like a lion and snowed the first day of March, they finished up with the aluminum making the new windows maintenance free. They also installed a new Therma-Tru back door and a Larson storm door. The installation was of exceptional quality. Led by Jerry, the team lead, they removed the old storm windows and wood windows and using the insert method replaced the windows. Being a bit fussy on how clean and the neat the process of installation is, they actually vacuumed as they sawed out the frame edges to fit. Now that is a tremendous advantage. Exceptional value and craftsmanship. I can recommend this company to any one.

I asked three companies to provide a quote for wood replacement windows. Olson's representative tried to convince us to go with fiberglass windows (Beechworth) and, to show the cost savings, also provided a quote for Marvin windows and patio door. We ultimately decided to go with Pella windows through the manufacturer directly but, since we did not care for the Pella patio door, we decided to go with Marvin, via Olson, for our patio door. We accepted proposal from Olson in mid June, and the Marvin patio door was installed in late July. The patio screen fell off that evening, and Olson came out the next day to repair. At that time, we also complained to Olson that our new patio door was hard to open. Also, the finish of the prefinished white interior was very thin, the wood grain was showing through the finish, and in some areas, you could see the yellow color of the wood showing through the paint (for comparison, the new Pella windows also had a prefinished white interior, and they are beautiful and flawless). Also, the interior trim piece across the top of the patio door was crooked when installed by Olson. We sent photos of the problems to Olson, and he came out a few days later to discuss my concerns. I was told our sliding panel was warped and it needed to be replaced. Shortly afterwards, a second person, who I thought was from Marvin, came to look at the door, and he also confirmed the panel was warped and needed to be replaced, He told me the replacement panel would be ordered and I would hear back when it arrived to arrange for installation. Olson did have the installer come back to replace the crooked horizontal trim piece, which now looks good I waited and waited for the call to arrange a time to replace the panel. Finally, in late September, I received a call from a lumberyard (who, unbeknownst to me, is the source used by Olson) who was following up on outstanding issues. They informed me that Marvin rejected the order for a replacement panel. Nobody from Marvin, the lumberyard, or Olson informed me of that until that call. The lumberyard promised to contact Marvin to follow up with me on my concerns. We gave up hearing from them after a month, thinking we were going to live with our sticky Marvin patio door with poor finish forever. I believe it was November or December when I received a call from a Marvin technician, who arranged to come to my home to look at the situation. To fix the sticky door, he simply used a putty knife to remove a hidden felt pad that was behind the sliding door, and it again moved freely. He explained that the factory adds this felt pad to all doors, but sometimes it makes the door too tight. The Marvin representative agreed the finish was not too good, and promised to send me some touch up white paint for the finish, which I received in the mail a few days later. I am happier with the Marvin door as it no longer sticks, but I do still need to repaint the interior in the spring. In retrospect, Olson did initially follow up on my issues, but clearly dropped the ball on the replacement panel and concerns about the finish. I wish Olson knew about this felt pad, as it would have addressed by sticky door concern months earlier. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend that if you do go with Olson, you follow up with them regularly if you have any issues. I was disappointed overall since Olson has such a good rating with Angie's list. Hopefully my experience will help Olson improve, and will help others make a good decision. UPDATE February 26: Immediately after submitting my review, Olson contacted me and wanted to make things right. I learned my problems were likely caused by changing of staff at Olson. To make it right, Olson came out and repainted my Marvin door at no charge to me, and on a day most convenient for me. I appreciate their efforts to make good, and I've bumped up their ratings appropriately.

We recently hired Olson Windows to replace 26 windows and 1 patio door in our 17 year old home. We worked with Kevin out of the Warrenville showroom and the entire process was handled in a very professional manner. Kevin met with us at our home and discussed our options for the windows and patio door. He was very knowledgeable about the various window manufacturers. The existing windows were measured and a quote was emailed to us in a few days. No high pressure sales pitch. We had previously interviewed two nationally known window companies and both contained high pressure sales pitches. We selected Beechworth windows and a Pella patio door. We are very satisfied with quality of the windows and patio door. Kevin was very patient and answered all of our questions and emails in a prompt manner. He also met with us at the Warrenville showroom so we could look at actual window and patio door samples. He discussed with us in detail how the existing windows would be removed and how the new windows and patio door would be installed. The installation crew led by George and Tammy did an outstanding and professional job installing all the windows and patio door. They treated our home as if it was theirs. The exterior and interior of the house was protected and cleaned during the entire installation process. They are a great group of people and work very well together. They also were very patient and answered all our questions. At the end of the window installation, Tom and his finishing crew arrived to begin the staining process. They did an excellent job of matching the existing stain. They did a very skilled job, answered all our questions, and protected the house during the staining process. Working with Olson Windows was a very hassle-free and enjoyable process. We highly recommend hiring Olson Windows.

The company was excellent. My salesperson, Tony was great. Every interaction we had was timely and clear. I felt the company provided a fair price, I got 3 other estimates as a comparison. Tony managed my expectations in terms of window ordering and time to delivery/installation. When my windows arrived, the office contacted me to arrange installation. The installers arrived on time, they did a great job, very professional, took care and concern for my property, and cleaned up all debris after the installation. Everything went very smooth.

Called and setup appointment for the salesman to come out and explain the different products. Arrived on time and really listened to what we wanted to accomplish. Workman arrived on time and did a great job on installation and clean and haul away. Any questions I had they answered and are very professional. Would use again.

Went great. Great job helping plan, picking out windows, fixing a date, showed punctually, installation was professional, no mess. Minor issues on walk through fixed on the spot. Would use them again and recommend to anyone to use them.

I can't say enough good things about Olson Windows. From the time I first talked to Kevin at Olson until the final window was put into place the experience was excellent. For anyone that has ever shopped for windows, they would agree that it can be an exhausting ordeal especially when looking for wood windows instead of vinyl. Wood windows are much more expensive and the quality can very dramatically by Brand. We had a few bids before Olsen so had an idea of pricing but were still unsure as to the direction we were heading. Kevin was able to show us all of the major window brands at his showroom and also introduced us to a brand we had not seen before. As we looked at the Beechworth windows(division of James Hardy), we were quickly impressed with the quality and features of these windows. After pricing out these windows against other brands we felt very comfortable in our decision to purchase and move forward with the installation. Olson was very competitive in their pricing and even more importantly they were extremely focused on customer service and client satisfaction. Kevin was always quick to respond and very thorough in his answers. He told us how professional his installation teams were and we could not agree more. George and Tammy and their install team were efficient, highly skilled, customer focused, and always willing to comply with any request. They always cleaned up at the end of each night and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Tom and his team followed the install with the staining process and were just as professional and customer focused as the Install team. I must say that Kevin and his team made a very difficult process much easier and I look forward to my Beechworth windows well for many years to come. We could instantly tell the difference from the old windows and can tell that the house is keeping much warmer now that the new windows have been installed.

We replaced 3 sliding doors. Olson came out and provided us a variety of options for doors. They scheduled the install to accommodate our schedule. They installed in one day. There were some minor issues with the doors and they had someone come out very quickly and fixed the issues to our satisfaction.

They were wonderful: neat, competent and professional. The windows they recommended are terrific and have endured heavy rain, windstorms, and blizzards and are always warm and cozy. My heating bill already reflects a big savings.

Olson Windows, Doors, Siding & Roofing did an AMAZING job! When Scott came for the initial consultation we explained how many other companies stated that they would not work on our project due to some potential difficulty with our current siding. After examining the details of the project and inquiring to our needs/wants he provided reasonable solutions as well as a quote for the work that would need to be done. There was absolutely NO PRESSURE or pushing of products or services. Next they followed up by having their crew come out and evaluate the project prior to the materials coming in. This allowed the crew to see the project prior to the day of installation as well as gave us the opportunity to meet the individuals who would be working on our home. We were notified when the materials came in and then scheduled the day for installation. On the day of installation the Olson crew were polite and professional. They took time to set up carefully and leave no mess afterward. Once installed Scott called again to verify that the work was done to our satisfaction and reminded us that their work is guaranteed FOR FIVE YEARS and to call them immediately if there were ever any issues. It is truly a rare find nowadays to have a company listen to what you want and provide what you need. There was no sales push or ulterior motives. These guys are genuine and want you to be satisfied from start to finish. Would HIGHLY recommend for any project that they cover.
